Dear Reader (or hopefully Sky Employee), I moved to Sky Glass approximately 1 year ago, have the Sky TV 65" and also a Sky Puk (additional TV device). I have some warnings for people considering sky glass if moving from Sky Q or Sky HD, and warnings on the selling methods used. 1) Lets start with selling methods... 2 hours on the phone, no real warning of the shortfalls of the stream only service, also firm Miss-selling of a financial product, as under £25k and I am a retail consumer, the sale of financial products is covered by the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) regulations which mean fair transparency, treating customer fairly and more recently consumer duty obligations on finance introducers/brokers and lenders - Sky breached all of these when I was sold the sky package but a separate finance product which was only disclosed as "an additional £22 per month for the 65 inch TV", I had to dig and review in detail the financial agreement which was actually a 48 month agreemeent - this is miss-selling to a consumer, not good - I proceeded on the basis I was switched on but please watch for the Indian sales centre using these tactics. 2) Now, why should you not move to Sky Glass... well in a few words, it is because it is stream only. - this means that you no longer have data capacity for saving and storing films, favourite shows or anything, you can only watch if the internet is up (as opposed to when down on my Sky HD, I would just watch recorded things until it was back up. The other problem with the streaming is that the UI (user interface) is not developed well, we see missing episodes, slow to update etc, plus, oh wait for it, Sky Glass pushes you out to third party apps, ITV X, BBC, All Four instead of having the channels like the Sky HD or Q, this means you are forever entering passwords and user IDs, and have to sign up to all the other apps which is a nuisance.. finally to add to all of this, because it is stream only, you are now unfortunately not able to skip through adverts even for on demand or saved favourites ... unless you pay an additional fee £5 per month... which is criminal as the service fee is quite enough to be paying thank you. the advert skipping is free for the first 12 months to get you used to skipping in the hope that you get used to it and will then pay.... I will not, in fact, I am now looking at other providers in order to sell the Sky Glass TV, pay off the finance and move to a platform that is not stream only, I can save my favourites and watch them when I like. All in all, Sky Glass is Sky's attempt to move to streaming platform style which is a shame as they were a true player as a stand alone service best in class before this move. Shame on you Sky.

I have been trying to contact Sky for days on their virtual platform. I Will not phone them as I have been told on good authority, that I will be charged a connection fee of £3.60. plus £3.60 per minute and on top of that your telephone providers charge. Having read reviews of waiting times I would say it would cost a fortune to speak to someone. I have been with sky for over 23 years. I am extremely disappointed with them.

Appalling customer service, been a customer twenty years and the decline in service is incredible. Be prepared to be misled and have to double check anything they say as chances are it won't be actioned when they promise. Given the amount of competition in the market, I don't know how they think reducing customer service will help retain customers.

I signed up for fibre broadband on a reasonable deal. Unfortunately the person signing me up online failed to let me know that for the second months payment it could be up to double the cost as they move my payments from in arrears to in advance. This messed up my budgeting for the month (cost of living crisis makes this difficult to absorb). The first man I spoke to from an Indian call centre was very rude and clearly only interested in getting me off the phone to improve his 'stats'. He talked over me, stated that I was the one at fault for not reading the fine print and then transferred me mid sentence and I was suddenly speaking to someone else from what seemed to be an Irish call centre. She was at least more polite, but still offered no help, telling me that there was nothing they could do (which I know was a lie because I could hear a colleague giving a goodwill gesture in the background) and that she would escalate the complaint regarding the first man. I asked whether I could be notified of the outcome of the complaint and was told that as it was an internal procedure, I would not be notified. I have no confidence that anything will be done about my complaint as the manager is only likely to care about the same 'stats' that the call handler seemed to care about. Complete waste of time and a truly awful experience. As soon as I'm out of contract I will leave Sky with no chance of ever returning. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with.

Terrible customer service, you can never get through on the phone, once you do get through they pass you from one person to another hold times around 40 minutes at a time. I've called to cancel my account when it came to the end of the contract, the following month they are still taking payments from my bank, another 1 hour phone call to be told they can see we called to cancel but "not sure why it hasn't been cancelled " can you call back and cancel again. They mark your experian account with late payments effecting your credit score when you call the number provided it says balance is zero and ends the call on you. The whole thing is a joke!!

Lost my phone and they won’t block the sim and send me out a replacement chip without asking about 10000 stupid questions that I can’t answer as everything is on my phone THAT IS LOST and probably someone else has it by now! Trying to speak to someone there and get some sense is like talking to a brick wall! Would definitely never go with them again it’s a joke! Quick enough to take my money monthly when the service is shocking anyway and hardly works anywhere even when I’m on Wi-Fi but won’t help! ABSOLUTE JOKE DO NOT RECOMMEND at all!

SHOCKING Experience with SKY Customer Services. Tried MANY TIMES to contact SKY to cancel my TV Subscription. Went on their website and waited for over an hour in a Live Chat, to try to speak with agent. No Response. Went on their website to get phone number to speak with a human being. Some numbers listed were unobtainable. others was just left hanging on the phone in ridiculously long queues. No Success. Emailed them repeatedly, without a single reply. Now received texts from a Debt collection agency, demanding monies. No phone calls. No replies. Sky are a Dirty Money Grabbing outfit simply interested in maximising profit without giving a decent level of Customer service. Shameful Outfit. Life's too short to waste of these crooks. Have been a customer for 20+ years. Not anymore. Moved to another Provider.

Before contract even finished started charging nearly £20 more on top Submitted ticked with a help centre then spoke with them and totally unhelpful no consideration about anything, always was telling about about confusing t&c no interest in resolving anything. Sky Makes double contacts with different ending dates so they catch out customers and then forward much higher bills!

Appalling service! We’re a large business and use Sky for our internet and phones, our phones went down last week and we reported the issue, they’ve now been down for over a week and Sky have told us they don’t know what the problem is but that we can’t do anything but wait! You are slowly destroying our business and your service is legitimately the worst I have ever experienced. No one ever calls you back, will be filing a complaint with Cisas shortly.

Just nasty arrogant people. Must be a company ethic. When the time for billing came, my payment method failed due to card having been cancelled. I honestly thought I had a DD with them. So they sent me an email about it on the spot, and I immediately logged on and changed the payment method. Instead of them taking the payment right there and then, they decided to email me to tell me all is fine and that, not to worry, they would take double the amount on the next payment run. They, word for word, told me that I did not have to do anything. Then I got a blank marker on my credit score. Disgusting nasty people. Can't wait for contract to end.

Sky. What a rip off. Wish I'd never cancelled Virgin Media. Not only is the broadband inferior, it's very slow, constantly failing, on and off nearly every day, at any time, and drives me mad. I moved to an area where the signal wasn't as good as my last address, less than half. I expected the price to drop, it didn't, I asked they said no. WHY??? I understand that it is not your fault I moved. I don't understand why it hasn't dropped in price, because it isn't my fault you can't even supply the lack lustre broadband you provided before. My internet is now around 26 - 32 mbps, making it slower than my mobile phone powered by 3 mobile Internet. My package was renamed to the 35 mbps package, without my permission, I am paying for the 70 mbps package, this is what should be showing on my bill, nothing else. The tv signal is also terrible. If I record anything, watch anything live it drifts in and out of signal, pixilated picture. Ruins my programme's. They even increased my package price this month. An absolute liberty. I have to put up with this until November. Then the ordeal will be over.

i have been a sky customer for over 11 years and never missed my monthly payments , i asked sky why new customers are getting a much cheaper deal than i have ?? anyone joining sky get a better package at a cheap rate ? there adviser said that i am free to leave sky if i am not happy with them as they cannot improve on the new increases in June 2023 - so i contacted Virgin who offered me a full package with internet & tv & telephone etc with a 18month contract for £28.25 cheaper than sky -
