“This is the second time I've tried to buy dumbells from Sports Direct and this time it was successful, the first time my order was lost and it tooks ages to finally get someone at Sports Direct to communicate. It's impossible to talk to anyone, and only finally got through to someone after a couple of weeks via Facebook Messenger. The weights I bought are great, although the packaging was terrible and the weights have knocked into each other in transit and chipped little bits off the metal.”

“Had to order and pay for next day delivery online because the store do not answer the phone to check stock. Great for the items I needed as I struggled to get some of them in the size elsewhere. Parcel arrived on time but god knows how old the stock is. One item had a wet/mouldy label and smelt of damp and mould so no idea how they are being stored but not great receiving new items in that condition. Item has been washed but the smell is still present. Probably going to have to be binned as mould can be hard to get out.”

“My parcel was never delivered and customer services refuse to do anything about it. Absolutely appalling. I have been charged £66.99 and have nothing to show for it! The trainers and sportswear I ordered were supposed to be delivered on a day when I was in the house all day and yet I did not receive any such delivery. Sports Direct have provided no evidence of the parcel being delivered and have just taken my money and refused to do any more. I will NEVER shop from them again and strongly advise you to avoid them at all costs.”

“I bought a skort last time and only after a week you emailed me to say you couldn't deliver but was not true bec i went back online to see and it was available but 5 pounds increased price. Im very unhappy about if for 5 pounds you happy lose your customers.”

“I was happy with the product. The item arrived in store earlier than expected so that was also good. However, I was surprised that I was charged to pick up the item from the store. I could have understood if it had been delivered to my home or near by collect point. I will make me think again next time.”

“I ordered something online for my partner who then bought it in store before I could tell him I'd already ordered it. I attempted to cancel the order before it was dispatched only to be informed it was not possible to cancel an online order. I went into the store to collect my item and was told it had not arrived. As I had made a specific trip to the store for collection I asked if it could be cancelled on my behalf and a full refund made. The store assistant advised me they do not do refunds in store - only store credit or exchange - and that I would have to return the unwanted item at my own cost. I asked whether this could be arranged without me having to make another trip into the store and was advised this was not possible. I am now in a position where I have to make a specific trip to collect an unwanted item, return it at my own cost despite the fact I attempted to cancel it before it had even been dispatched. The store assistants whilst polite were unhelpful, uninterested and dismissive of my predicament and stated they work on a different system therefore have no ability to manage such situations. This is appalling and as a consequence I will never shop at sports direct again and will be sure to tell people about the poor customer experience I have had due to the fact your systems are clearly so incompatible they are incapable of managing customer requirements. Clearly the system is set up to benefit sports direct rather than their customers.”
