“The trainers came in a damaged box, one shoe wasn’t even in the box but lose in the bag. I wouldn’t usually be too bothered but this was a gift. I was unable to find a contact number for customer service, the store refused to swap the box and the contact form did not fit with my query.”

“I'd like to bring to your attention my experience at one of your stores recently. Your son hasn't worn the trainers properly" is what the manager (Luke) at the Forge Retail Park branch in Wellington, Telford told me after I requested an exchange for trainers that had started to wear away after a week. The fabric from the edge has started to wear in three places after just a week of wear for school use only (football is banned at school). When I told him 'that's ridiculous' and asked 'how are trainers not supposed to come into contact with the ground?' he told me they had been scrapped along a wall (they have not) and that there has been too much contact with the ground. How on earth are they supposed to be worn?!! I appreciate children run around in their shoes but surely they should last more than a week? they are only worn for school hours with only normal playground play. I'm disgusted with the product, the attitude of the manager and the response - how dare assumptions be made! The product is substandard if it can't last a week. I'd like to know how the sale of sub standard products that are not fit for purpose can be sold and customers be spoken to in this way. How can this be addressed please? Thank you.”

“Didn't send a replacement citing no size available when I can see one on their website. Spend own my to get a delivery, even to their own stores, and then again to return back. Not worth unless you know exactly what you're after and zero chance of return.”
