“My recent experience of sports Direct was not a good one. I originally placed an order for three items, of which I was notified that one of those items was no longer available and had been cancelled due to lack of stock. I received the other two items without an issue but when I tried to order a replacement item I could see that the same product that had been cancelled was still being advertised for sale on the Sports Direct website. I queried this with customer service and was advised that the site is not directly linked to the stock inventory, I was not able to find out if the item was available or not and when I enquired about ordering a different replacement item was advised that I would have to pay an additional £5 postage, even though the cancelled item was part of a previous order. That seemed to me unreasonable so I shopped elsewhere.”

“Despite the delivery courier receiving my product i then received an email stating i had 'changed my mind' and Sports Direct will be refunding me. I had not selected this option and now have no product and no information why this has happened.”

“The online shopping experience was good. Some things they need to improve are: when searching for products, the prices are shown for the cheapest shoes/trainers, even if you selected a size. And, after paying, it says the purchase went through but they still need to check the warehouse/availability, which left me a bit unconfident as a customer - what if they didn't have one of the products? Would they tell me and cancel it all or send just the secondary products?”

“I made my order then recieved an email to say what I ordered was out of stock. I still then had to pay for the delivery of the other item which worked out that I paid over the odds for my order. If the item was out of stock this should of been made clear before I made my purchase. If this was the case, I wouldn't have gone ahead with my order.”
