“I placed a ordered and questioned when it would be shipped the next thing I know I receive a email saying the order was cancelled and I would be refunded, that has not happened then I get a email about a gift card I don’t want a gift card I want a refund to the credit card I used
I didn’t make a return Stein mart cancelled the order there fore I want my money back

“I bought a dress online for an event and they did not disclose the brand. That was issue #1. I'm trying to return the dress and I'm told that:
1.) I have to email or call for a label.
2.) I will have to pay to make the return despite their, "free returns" plastered all over the checkout screen.
3.) They only give store credit which WAS NOT disclosed at checkout. I found the dress much cheaper at Macy's which made me feel ripped off as they're usually more expensive.
I'm already very annoyed and will do what it takes to get my money back. Any store that only offers credit unless it's a no receipt or past return policy situation is shady. I have no stores near me and I do not regularly shop at Stein Mart so, the credit is of no use.”

The online women's clothes look cheap, faded and something I could find at a second-hand shop. So disappointed in Steinmart. “Read the fine print. Returns aren’t easy. You have to contact a rep through email or phone (impossible) and you do NOT get a refund on returned merchandise-only store credit. And do NOT destroy the ragged bag the product arrives in because you must return it in the original packaging, so they can determine if the item meets their “return criteria.” Absolutely nothing they offer is worth the hassle. So sorry; I wanted them to survive but this online platform is doubtful.”

I was lied to saying I would get my money refunded to my debit card--I did not-I received a store credit so I could purchase more junk and pay further shipping fees-I finally ordered an overpriced straw bag and still have $14.00 credit. I was told I would get a refund to my debit card. Then I finally received a store credit. My bank and I called several times a day again to be told “it has been refunded to your Stein Mart account”. I don’t have a Stein Mart account after all this is was refunded in gift card, per Stein Mart, “To my account”. Please keep your money and do not order from this company! Thai customer service needs a below 0 review.”
