Althought the shoeslikepottery arrived very quick and are beautifull, they are completely not true to size. Im a 6 and these are probably an 8.... Im gutted as they dont have them smaller and that means I have to pay double postage for something I cant use.... It would have been good to have this mentioned near the product, I would have been able to make a more informed decision. Thank you

Sorry to hear this, however these are Mens size 6uk. So for ladies this would equate to a size 7uk , hence the reason why they may have felt loose.

I've not received the item as yet and have not received it in the time quoted. This is made worse by not being able to track a package as the tracking number isn't recognised. Not a good experience

I don't have my shoes yet. It went out for delivery today, and I expected that the courier (Royal Mail) would have left the parcel in the back yard. I would have told them to do so. IF I HAD THE CHANCE. Never, in the purchasing order, I had that option. And the cynical part is that I had this paragraph written in the email to let me know it was out for delivery: "subject to any alternative instructions that you've previously agreed with us.". No, nothing was agreeded, and I'll have to wait another 48hours, and pay an extra £0,70 to pick it up from a local store. Very, very frustrating.

I was still charged for the transaction I cancelled because it was the higer amount out of the two I don't appreciate that this is my 1st and last time dealing with this company

Dear Sir Thanks for your comments. As it seems you placed an order at this point a transaction takes place. Which would mean the funds will be transferred to complete the order. However after this you notified us that you would like to cancel the order. As a result the received payment needs to be refunded. Which has now been done. We can see you have placed another order, even if you place separate orders each order will be dealt with individually so all actions are recorded on the history per order in question. I appreciate I placed the order over the Xmas period but the feedback has been quite poor and largely incorrect. I was informed of a tracking reference on the 27th for DPD NEXT WORKING DAY. I've received no updates since which is unusual as DPD usually text a delivery window in advance. I have checked and the tracking reference is a Royal Mail one with 4 random preceding characters. Their tracking is abysmal and the only update is "It's on its way". So DPD "next working day" was yesterday and this tracking claims the item is still in Greenford Mail Centre so it hasn't even made its way outside of London yet. The issue is poor communication setting false expectation.

Not impressed ordered on Thursday before cut off point of 15 00 & now Mon still awaiting delivery, went online for track & trace it states they are still awaiting shipment of items, find this unacceptable especially after paying for delivery.

Dear Joe, Due to the bank holiday there was a delay in your parcel being received. You would have got a tracking confirmation on the 4th at 11.52am when royal mail received the parcel in their depo. You ordered on the 3rd at 2.51pm - 9 mins before the cut-off time. As your first attempt to purchase was "Payment Failed" the second attempt took time to show on our screen. Also please note that if you wish to have a speedy delivery - we would suggest upgrading to the "Next Day Delivery" service, as you only purchased the standard delivery this will take 2-3 working days, with the weekend and Bank Holiday Monday - all parcels sent out were delayed with Royal Mail due to the build up in general. Ordered a 48 and received a size 58. The delivery was fast though so in normal circumstances I would rate highly.

Dear Sir , The website list the sizes in UK. We can see you were trying to buy a size 48 Italian which would have been a UK 38. As We have written a size guide out that explain all the displayed sizes. As you ordered a UK 48 a Italain 58 was sent out. Sorry for the confusion, however as a UK website we list all sizes according to UK. Kind Regards Trevor

I ordered a Baracuta G9 jacket which was described as "original". It was in fact an updated slim fit version in a newer fabric. I called customer service and was advised that only the newer slim fit version was available and I could opt for the G7 instead if I wanted a fuller cut. Unfortunately, I don't really like the G7 design. The new G7 fit was not what I had hoped for, but my tailor made it work. I was also surprised to get a $60 customs bill from the US government that was unexpected. The two reasons that I bought from Stuart's instead of a US retailer was the expectation of getting an original fit G9 and the lower price. I didn't get the original fit, and with customs charges and alteration fees my cost was significantly higher than what I could have paid in the US. All in all, a less than satisfactory experience.

Dear Mark We fully appreciate your frustration and without trying to win points, I would like to draw your attention to the description of the jacket on the right of the image. It does state Slim Fit, and the "Original" meaning Baracuta the Original makers of the Harrington. Also we do not stock a G7 the only alternative is G4 which is just marginally looser in fit. As for customs charges to the USA , you will not pay the VAT (duty) for any product in the UK, as you are making an international purchase. However once you buy from abroad you are potentially importing the product to your country. Which means that if you do not pay the UK duty you will have to pay your own countries Customs Duty. We have highlighted this in Red writing on check out so there are no surprises and as any foreign customer not paying UK tax will be made aware they are going to pay their countries import tax. The couriers send the bill as they pay the tax on your behalf to avoid delay in delivery and then request you pay them for clearing your parcel through customs. Furthermore please do see the Helpdesk at the footer of the website , which leaves "no stones unturned" and explains every step of buying from abroad in more depth and our general policies. Dear Sir After an investigation - we can confirm that Monday was a Bank Holiday thus a national holiday through UK. Due to this fact no one was working in the office or nor could we have access to any courier company. We apologise if this was not made more clearer at the point of purchase. The general delay was due to the parcel being sent out on Tuesday the day after Bank Holiday Monday - due to the order placed - not being a Next Day delivery this will take a normal of 2-3 working days to arrive. We appreciate that in future we should make more effort to highlight that a national bank holiday may cause delay in processing orders. I do hope this clears up any misunderstandings , as this was also, what I believe was the same you were told over a telephone conversation with a member of the dispatch team , prior to leaving this review. Paid £142 for shoes, then they Emailed me to say they had not got the shoes any more they had either allready been sold, Or could not find them in the warehouse.... and they give me £5 as a good will gesture added to my wallet. Wow. I'm Really over the moon with that.

We had two orders within minutes for the same shoe. The stock control system does take 1-2 minutes to update. In this case it was unfortunate that you made a purchase within this time frame. The order had to be dispatched to the first order on the system. A refund for your order was issued promptly and a gesture of goodwill, we credited your account for £5.00 - After trying to track another product from the Supplier this wasn't an option as the item was part of a seasonal stock programme, which is now deleted from future collections. Contacted Stuarts through the online contact form and via Facebook message a total of 5 times before someone eventually got back to me regarding the sizing of an item. Was informed the item I was enquiring about was a UK46 which equated to between xxl and xxxl. Item was subsequently ordered and when it arrived, it was actually a size Small. I also paid for guaranteed next day delivery before 1pm at £7.95 which didn't arrive when it was supposed to either. All in all a poor shopping experience and would put me off using Stuart's again.

If you have any other urgent request, please send it to customerservices@stuartslondon.com, where normally we reply quicker. All the stock and sizes are checked before we send a item to our customers.If you have received the wrong size, our apologies Mr. Baine. Please send the item back for inspection, we will refund you the amount you paid for postage and we will refund in full the money you paid for the item. We sent you the item on a next day delivery the day you placed your order (Friday). Due to unforeseen circumstances, to Northern Ireland the channel crossing deliveries were delayed. Bought 2 items in the sale one of which was quite obviously marked, looks like sun damage. Disappointing that this wasn't picked up when the item was packed. Fast efficient delivery though. Would give another try.

My issue is not so much with Stuart's but with the Post Office. I've still not received parcel. I go on the website to track and it just says "it's on its way". It's just as well it's not an essential bit of clothing for an occasion or I'd have missed the event. Poor from the post office.
