I rented a car in Bari (booking number B31858907) between January 29th and April 1st. Initially, I specifically requested a Smart car. I understand the concept of car groups and have rented cars in numerous countries before. However, upon arrival at the garage, I discovered that they had zero Smart cars available, which is essentially false advertising. While the website mentions Fiat Panda and similar cars, this wasn't the issue. The problem arises from being charged €194.38 without any prior notification or explanation. I did not sign any agreement nor was I informed about any additional charges. This appears to be an unauthorized charge and amounts to robbery.

Do not rent a car here. It kost you money. The always find something that you must pay. And the service is bad.

Be ware this company steals your money, 250 euro charge for cleaning a seat!! and if you dont take insurasnce you ar ein for a big charge! we waited 4 hours to collec the car. this is a fraudster run by crooks.

If you are Canadian, do not rent from this company. They will not accept your Canadian car insurance and will charge you $62US per day. I booked from Holiday Cars.com - will never deal with either of these companies again. Buyer beware!

Absolutely appalling experience @ their London Heathrow branch, we turned up with the documentation summarised in their email only to be told “our policy changed” two weeks ago and that it was no longer fit for the purpose. After 3 hours trying to sort things out we went to a competitor and got a car with no problem! Never, never again. Ruined the start of what was meant to be a relaxing break.

Never rent a car here! In their policy they write that if you are 1 hour over the closing hours (10.00 p.m.) then you have to pay an additional charge as penalty. Our plane was delayed and we called them from the airport of departure in the afternoon. We also wrote them an email. We called the office at 10.45 p.m. to let them know we have arrived in Bari. Then we called them again and again but the lines were busy (it seems they have only one phone). Finally, after 10 minutes they answered the phone and told us that they would arrive soon. After 20 minutes the driver arrived and then after a 3-minute ride we eventually arrived at their office. They wanted to charge 70 euro for not being there in time. I think it was not our fault that they arrived after 28 minutes. They did it purposefully in order to charge extra money. There was an other couple arriving together with us. They didn't have to pay that penalty as they made them pay extra money for using Revolute.

it doesn't even deserve a one star. people working there have absolutely no shame. also their whole site is full of lies. i don't recommend it especially if you want to stay happy and satisfied (and if you don't want to lose your money)

Stay away from Surprice car rentals: they also go under the names of MEXC, Street, Hub rent-a-car, Routes Car rental, York and Wheego. All the same business and the same bad experience. I had booked through Priceline and planned to use our own insurance coverage as it covers rentals etc. A few days prior to my trip, I did some research to find out how much of a deposit they would charge so I could be prepared. My research showed $500-$2500 which is crazy. I began looking at reviews and found all bad reviews of Surprice. One specifically mentioned that the company would only accept a small handful of insurance companies and would likely charge you anyways. So I went back to purchase the offered separate insurance from Priceline for $78. When I go to get my rental and I give my insurance information I'm told it's "not enough: it only covers collision. You'll have to take our insurance at $30 per day." This totaled about $180 on top of the $78. There is zero information anywhere about this detail prior to booking. I will never use any of these car rental companies again. Also won't use Priceline.

If I could give it zero I would. Stay away!! If you're a hour late they cancel you and refuse to refund your money. You have to show your declaration page so be prepared or they'll charge you. And then they want to charge you 2500 on your card to HOLD!

Absolute scam: do not waste your money with them or any of the other "off-brand names" they utilize. They provided very little detail or information on how to get to their location after getting off the plane; they did not have a phone number for contact to ask them questions, and when the shuttle showed up an hour later, the line at the car rental place was out the door and took hours to get to the counter, and they didn't have a car for me.

Disgusting mafia I hired a car from car jet wich was actually surprise car hire. I got the car took many photos before and after. When returned they found a tiny tiny hole In the corner of indicator wich was already there they said maybe when you was parked it happened I had waiver included luckily. But they said don't worry insurance will pay for it. They did pay me back 650 euros they con ppl and insurances.sofia airport Bulgarian mafia. Don't use this company.

I booked through Economy Bookings and ordered a child car seat for a baby. On arrival the child car seats they had were completely inappropriate, very old and in terrible condition. I am confident they didn't adhere to EU safety standards as they had none of the markings on. On collecting the car it was dark and I did my best to film and photograph all the scratches. They however found a tiny blemish on one of the wheels and charged me €250 for it. Even though I don't believe I was the one who did that. On their system they didn't have many of the blemishes and scratches that I had taken a photo of.

I rented from this company through Priceline, because it was designated On Airport. They were nowhere to be found at the airport. No instructions, no information, nothing. It was one of the worst travel experiences of my life. Absolutely horrible. Do not use this company. Truly terrible. I was essentially stranded. After an exhausting day.

Please be aware this is a scam company They tell you one thing over the desk and something els after just to steal your money. I would not recommend this company at all they are tiefs I have purchased full cover car insurance That cover my fault or not my fault Still have to pay 3k that they said it will be refunded ones is everything sorted Now thay say something els And refusing to answer the questions including to provide copies of insurance

Surprise are operating a very nasty fraud at Faro airport. This only applies to customers who decline their expensive insurance. (I had my own annual excess insurance) In February 2024 upon picking up the car, they asked me to take photos of the existing scratches of the car (70,000 km mileage!) and then they also pointed out a further dozen or more tiny blemishes / scratches which no car hire firm would ever consider and they asked me to photograph these as well. I took 21 photos and many of them are barely visible on my camera. In some cases I was not even sure what I was photographing. On returning the car their employee checked the mileage and petrol levels and within seconds, ignoring the obvious scratches and dents, he went to a minute scratch on the rear wheel arch which (on pick-up) they had not previously directed me to and which I would not dream of photographing on any other occasion. They of course are aware of this previously existing tiny flaw which is why they go directly to it and they then asked me if I had a photo of it, which I did not. They then charged me €190 for damage knowing that you I had less than 90 minutes to catch your plane. Fortunately I was covered by Questor Insurance so I suffer no loss but this is a disgraceful practise and you should have nothing to do with this awful business.

They cancelled our car because we got there 3 hours late because of our flight being delayed. They don’t apologize or try to help with getting a replacement vehicle. They will charge you for insurance if you don’t have a copy of your insurance. They also put a $2500.00 hold on your credit card until you return your car.

Too many things to complain about and write. Sur price is horrific and they should not be allowed a business license. There are not words to describe the employees. Disgusting people. My big question is why Priceline bundles with such a scam of a company?! Don't let them do this to you! Pay more if you have to. Just don't use Sur price!
