My 85-year-old mother is without internet. I have been trying for days to get an engineer rescheduled to visit. All they have to do is call her but they insist on hour-long text messaging and webchats which get nowhere because I do not know her password. My mother also does not know her password. I have made four long calls to them where they insist on me calling my mother on another phone so they can hear her say she is the account holder! Now 'Eugeryl' of the Filipino webchat 'support' team says that the relevant department is closed. Utterly utterly hopeless. Avoid.

Horrendous to deal with. My mum had a fault on her line so for a week she hasn't had any internet or phone line. They ran a test and said there was a fault, and an engineer was coming out, they never turned up. I rang today and they won't send an engineer out until my mum who is elderly does some tests in the house. They are expecting her to take the front of the box off and do some tests. I explained she can't do that, and I am not at her house to do it. They said nothing else they can do until that's done. I asked to speak to a manager, and they wouldn't speak to me, the operator said they would only say the same as she had told me. My mum has no phone to call them and is unable to bend down and test the box so there is nothing they can do. Polite lady but rubbish service and just kept repeating the same sentence over and over again. Will be recommending my mum moves to another provider.

Horrendous. Guy came to install it as I was working in My office. Heard lots of banging then silence. Went to inspect. The guy nowhere to be seen and wires after wires nailed to my fireplace. I was furious. The guy disappeared and NEVER came back. I should of cancelled my contract then No installation. Now I’ve upgraded to a 4k box that does not pause rewind and you need a usb to record and you CAN NOT turn it over once it records. Customer service really is the worst you will EVER experience. Do not get this box the technology is from years ago. Sold it misleadingly. Records one programme at a time and you can’t turn it over. Even the 1970s VCR when it first came out had the technology to turn the tv over. This new box will ensure talk talks down fall as they are laughed out of the market by other providers. I’d rather pay a fortune now with another provider. They really do not care. You’ll be passed over to any one. Think you’ve sorted the matter then find out there’s no record of it. Please go ahead and get talk talk and you’ll end up writing a review like this !!!

This must be the worst customer service out there. We initially tried to inform TalkTalk of our home move via the website. This did not work so decided to try via live chat. We gave the dates to the member of staff who incorrectly keyed our move out date to the month before. Within 10 minutes our internet was switched off. We have called to inform them of their mistake and so they could switch the internet back on, we were passed to around 10 different advisors. Asked the same questions over and over again. Not a single one cared about the issue. Dropping the call on us mid conversation. we were then told the internet could not be switched back on. This went even further to TalkTalk saying “could you find other internet for a couple of week?” This is beyond disgusting as this was no fault of our own. Asking paying customers to find different internet when they have caused you the problem. When we have asked to be put through to the complaint team they have stated there isn’t one. The issues gets passed to a supervisor who will give us a call back in 24 hours. Even though the advisor was speaking to the supervisor they would not pass the phone to them there and then. Have we received a call back? NO This is TalkTalks fault and we have been left without internet for 2 weeks until we move. We have to work from home and now can’t do our job because of a mistake on their end that they refuse to resolve. Absolutely disgusting service

Do yourself a favour and use someone else, I’ve had countless broadband connection issues and hardware issues. In a bog standard residential area. My bet would be service in the Shetland Islands would be more reliable than these bunch of the chancers in the Centre of Manchester. I’ve spent well over 15 hours in total dealing with my various issues with broadband and each time, “It’s a problem with your line” Then you have to arrange time off work for OpenReach to come out, whom I’m on first name terms with the 3 engineers that cover my patch. They then tell TalkTalk it’s their equipment, they send a new router, don’t compensate you for your outages and the cycle repeats! If you wan to pay for a service you never receive, I who heartily recommend these guys!

Disgusting customer service with the elderly! They won’t deal with you if you don’t have an email address, I’ve helped my mother-in-law walk away and go with another provider. They did not deal with her query about her bill because she didn’t have an email address she spoke to 5 different people over different days!

Found talktalk service to be terrible over the years have told them this many times to be told the same rubbish like is there something blocking your modem move it to another room etc. The worst is I’ve literally been trying to cancel my service for which I don’t even have a contract for over 3 Months but for some reason if you have a landline have to give them 30 days notice me and my wife have spent countless hours on the phone to them speaking to rude staff that when they can’t sell you an upgrade bounce you department to department until someone just hangs up. After leaving complaints you are asked to send your reference number someone will be in touch no one ever does so when you again ask where is my call You get the same reply Are you looking to upgrade? NO I WANT TO LEAVE Please leave your reference number someone will call….. over and over again I have now cancelled my direct debit and getting threatening emails on I need to reinstate it or be charged for a late payment. These people are thrives and are some how allowed to get away with this. It’s a disgrace of a company how can someone read these reviews and think it’s ok to run your company like this!! Why can’t you just have a cancel subscription page on your website oh yeah it’s because you can just keep taking payments till it suits you. Awful company awful service

1 week without internet at home and not knowing when it will get sorted. This has caused serious aggravations in terms of time and money to me and my wife as we both work from home. The service support from Talk Talk has been the worst ever. Not enough staff available, so they never respond the phone and it takes sometimes hours to reply in the chat. The staff does not have any clue and they just repeat always the same protocols and questions ignoring all the precedents. I have spent all along the week around 12 hours in the chat (not joking) without getting anywhere. The best I have got is the visit of an engineer in 3 days, that will be already 10 days without internet. Avoid this company, their customer service is ridiculous and cero emphaty with the client

Customer service is the worse than any other customer service ever ! I finally got my contract cancelled today after 2 hrs worth of being moved around. They said " sorry they are busy " wonder why ? I received a phone call from customer service saying I had to upgrade to fibre or my equipment would be obsolete in a couple of months. They booked an appointment with a engineer without my consent. I was at work. Rude messages from the engineer. Made another appointment for the 26th September, an email was went confirming this. I had to take off work a full day. Lost alot of money and they didn't even turn up. Spoke to the manager today he said my equipment would work up until 2027. Basically I had a day off work for something I didn't want or need ! Disgusting !

we have not got talktalk tv box but £2.50 pcm they take also we do not need the home phone £18.00 pcm i am trying to cancel them but it is HELL. put you on hold then dont come back the C.S is xxxt i would not recommend them no way,

Absolutely no issues until I had a technical problem and needed a new router. After 2 weeks, 15 attempts trying their customer service. Another 2 attempts to speak with management I'm getting no where. They loose my orders, or say they've never put one through. They make me run the same tests every time I contact online or via phone with the same results they somehow don't record. The only way it seems they will actually send me a new router is for me to renew my contract for another 24 months! It's by far the worst customer service I've ever had. I'm a technical advisor by trade so in a good position to know what I'm dealing with too. I'm still waiting for a router. And have tried and tried. I won't give up calling them every day. As I want it known how bad they are.

Absolutely god awful! Their customer service is horrendous and disgusting! At first, the issue with my connection was Openreach removing my golden NAD key and giving it to a neighbour in a duplicate address mix up. TALKTALK had no clue how to deal with this. The ISP is supposed to contact Openreach on your behalf to solve any issues with their infrastructure instead, they messed around with line checks and even gave me an internal number for Openreach that got me shouted at by an Openreach employee stating they shouldn't have done that and they only deal with companies and ISPs. A lady in Talktalk advised me to cancel my service and reorder to fix the issue. This failed due to the guy cancelling my service not cancelling properly. He just disconnected the service and left the unusable account live so I couldn't use my details to open a new order. Twice a reorder came to the same error and no one was helpful. On hold for hours at a time and their Live Chat people are mostly rude and disgusting. Round and round in circles claiming their systems can't do this or that and they transfer you to other departments which takes forever. Sent to wrong departments and 2 formal complaints closed without resolution. The second complaint was closed without them even contacting me at all! This company is atrocious and should actually be banned from being a consumer service. Their agents are very rude, incompetent and inept. I wouldn't trust them to proof read the alphabet, nevermind help with issues and faults as a communications provider. They are useless. I finally found a way to contact Openreach myself and get my gold NAD key back so I can have an FTTP service with BT instead. TALKTALK will not help you with anything. They will just make you go round and round jn circles, hang up on you and claim to phone you back when they don't. Never again. You're all useless. I fear a Live Chat supervisor, Edward, lied to me and my month's bill will not be delivered by cheque to me. I think they've stolen it. They promised compensation but I never got any. Unacceptable.

We have made upgrade to our broadband all was agreed, instalation date was set. After couple of weeks received text msg from TalkTalk. Unfortunately we need to cancel your order as is not available to your address. We have asked so many times, is that service will be available to our address, we was told YES. So much disappointed with this company. To contact real person is no chance. We was told member of staff will call you back in 5min. No one call us back. So, our upgrade date going to the end and zero support from this company.

Absolutely disgraceful company!! I had no service with them for my broadband, they told me the router was faulty even though it had been working 2 years prior. Tried to close my account, they didn't do it although they said they had, then when they finally did it I was told I didn't have to pay anything because of the mad service, but then they charged me two months service as they said my account was still live (although I was told it wasn't) and they passed the so called "debt" onto a debt collection agency which has negatively impacted my credit score! Avoid company at all costs!

This is the worst company I have ever felt with. No matter how often I have called they never sort anything out and just read from a script as to why they can’t. I trued to cancel my service in August and now on the 22 October I still haven’t had the refund due to me because of the direct debit not being stopped. Every other service gas ,electric , water and council tax sorted with full refunds with days. Talktalk just refuse to give me a refund and just blame me for their inability to transfer the service.
