What do you not like about this business? It states.. Well everything... if I could give no stars I would. The company are run by scammers, this company is linked with ROAD RUNNERS GATWICK and its a cowboy business, I do not recommend anyone using this company.They take ur money of you up front and never pick you up giving you stupid reasons. This is called THIEVING!! I was made to wait in the dark on my own for 3 hours hoping and stupidly trusting them there get to me, having already paid them £215 I was worried to leave the ferry terminal incase they were being honest and came but when it got to 9pm I gave up and called a family member who lived on mainland to collect me (I had already travelled from IOW) to help me get to Gatwick and to help calm me down because I had got into such a state from all the stress and upset from there messages. They lie to by saying there collect door to door, this never happened either, I was made to meet them a certain way with less then 1.5 hours notice and yet still no show. They message saying ur get ur money back once i threaten with court but I never received it back they come up with loads of excuses. This company is going to court with me and I won't rest until I get justice from this horrible company and the people who run it even when they state that its not them and now to do with road runners and think a bit of paper can prove this well with all my evidence I have from these company's I will get the money back and I will not allow this to continue happening to others like you see in other reviews throughout this company and road runners reviews. Con men, making money off us to gain in there pockets, disgusting humans, thieves. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY OR ROAD RUNNERS GATWICK THERE ARE A JOINT THIEVING COMPANY.

Shocking, do not use this service, book direct with taxi drivers. I unfortunately never got to use their drivers due to the cancellation of our flights in lieu of the Corona Virus outbreak. I'm sure, looking at the reviews, the driver and service would have been spot on. My issue, however, is with the main company. Their service and culture when it comes to handling issues is shocking. On being forced to cancel the booking 3 weeks prior, Taxicode has kept 75% of the fee! For our booking that's £100. I'm gobsmacked as at this point there is no service used and therefore no loss to them! The company's position is to spout standard terms and conditions about drivers losing out having been pre-booked and not being able to replace work. This I actually understand and agree with in principle; but not to be able to replace work within 3 weeks (especially when they operate a transfer service to and from airports) is stretching plausibility a bit far in my opinion. If they are not getting work in those time scales then do they have a viable business? The company expects clients like you and I to utilise European Passenger Rights Regulation EC 261/04 to get refunds from the flight carrier. Firstly this is just a blatant shift of responsibility and secondly it smacks of making it hard as possible for genuine clients to recoup lost funds under extraordinary circumstances. The customer service team at Taxicode are attentive to the point of quick communication. Unfortunately, their ability to reason, take a personal view and simply regurgitate standard terms to fob you off is just down right poor. I find this company unreasonable and quite simply, greedy! Beware!!! I will be interested to see their response, will it be their standard terms and conditions I wonder?!?!?!?

I operate a small taxi firm, and we are registered with taxicode. Basically if you make a booking at taxicode or another website affiliated with them you are probably either paying more than you would normally if you booked direct or paying a lot less and unlikely to get a taxi showing up. Say you book a return journey for £300 from the airport to a wedding venue. If the "preferred taxi company" don't have availability, then your booking enters a booking bin. Here other providers can bid to pickup the job. Problem is, is that this will be a reverse auction. i.e. taxicode will offer the job to taxi companies paying them £50 for the job gradually increasing to £150 50minutes before you are due to be picked up. This will often result in either no assigned taxi till just before your scheduled pickup time. Here is a breakdown of a booking my firm picked up, bear in mind that had the customer booked direct it would have cost £80. Journey: £169.44 Card Fee: £0.00 Affiliate Fee: £28.66 SMS Booking Confirmation: £1.50 Total: £199.60 Partner Amount: £107.60 Payment Method: Debit Card £199.60 is what the customer paid, £107.60 is what the taxi provider gets, The affiliate, is whoever suckered you in to booking on their site gets £28.66 (mostly taxicode). And the difference is pocketed by taxicode.

Disgusting. Booked to take my 87 year old mother to hospital and they took the money and cancelled at 3.30 on the MORNING of her appt after taking £35.50 payment with a ‘ransom’ note to say the price wasn’t enough. If I don’t get my money back within 24 hours I will go to trading standards and the police.

Absolutely appalling service. Booked a taxi for 22nd December to return from a funeral, company emailed to cancel on the day with very little notice so I had to try and organise an alternative whilst there. Took payment upfront and am still waiting for a refund nearly a month later. Ignores all messages and calls, will be claiming via a charge back as they refuse to respond. A shame no stars is not an option but please beware before booking and do not use this company!!!!!

Absolute scammers in particular Faizan Khan, do not book with them. I cancelled my booking within under 10 minutes of making it, as I realised the date was wrong. I tried to call them numerous times there was no answer. My booking was still in the waiting to be assigned a driver state so I cancelled it after realising something was off. They are literal daylight scammers, they are refusing to issue me a refund and just hoping that I'm well. I have never experienced such poor service but I will be getting to the bottom of this as apparently they are doing this to a lot of people from reading the comments.

Your review I booked a transfer with Taxicode for what was going to be my “dream vacation”. I booked and fully paid in advance Approx. 90 days in advance. This was going to be my first vacation abroad and I was really excited and wanted everything in order and to run smoothly. However, as the day neared, the Covid-19 epidemic ruined my plans and my flight was cancelled. I contacted taxicode (STILL 60 days Before my scheduled transfer) with this extremely unprecedented situation to request a full refund ... and was repeatedly referred to section 7 of their policy indicating I was only entitled to 55%. To be CLEAR... This company provided No service AT ALL and was notified 60 days in advance of my transfer that it was no longer needed DUE to a GLOBAL pandemic (flight canceled/countrywide travel ban). This company used a standard policy in an extraordinary time. They are true leeches during a global pandemic. Shame on them!!☹️

Awful, never again. We ordered one large taxi and two came, one was on time and the other was really late, which was annoying as we had a table booked which we were obviously late for. On the return journey one taxi came early and went without letting know it was waiting for us, even though it had a contact number . We ended up with one 4 seater for 8 adults. We had to order a separate uber to get us home. No apologies, no money back,no nothing. PLEASE never use this company.

I booked the taxi and the drive didn't show up, I called them on the same day told them what happend and I cancelled, a month later I just saw on my account that they took my money 57 pounds, I contacted with the support team and they said no refund because the journey was completed???? I am still fighting with them, they could check the conversation because they recording it, also they could check on the map that the driver actually did this journey, so unprofessional company, I will never book them and I will give the negative recommendations!

Some time ago, I showed my reviews about Taxicode below. In the other site for reviewing, I also put the same content. But, the Taxicode asked the provider to remove my review as they believed that my comment was not genuine. In total honesty, my comment is genuine. So, please do not trust the Taxicode! +++++++++++ Anonymous “I cancelled my booking 24 hours before the actual departing time. But, was refused the refund by Taxicode. I thought that I booked a cab to Heathrow airport as I planned, but, according to the said company, my booking was not the day that I needed. Anyway, there was a confirmation of refunding my payment £38.50 through SNS. But, later, had a phone call (03337729737) during my travelling to the airport, saying that they do not refund any money because I made a booking mistakenly by myself. I do not think that it was a fair treatment by them. I don’t know why over 2000 people give this company 5 stars reputations???

Terrible experience, 45’ minutes waiting for him at the airport and no compensation from the company. They charge you if you arrive late but you cannot request anything for them arriving late.

I booked a taxi service from this company. Status was not confirmed, they were looking for a driver. Worried the status was not confirmed (as my trip was the next day), I looked to see if I could cancel this in process transaction. I clicked cancel button assuming they would give me a confirmation step or explain the conditions of cancelling. Instead they cancelled the booking immediately without any explanation. This cancellation was only 5 minutes after my booking. I called them, an unhelpful employee confirmed that I would be charged and refused to continue with the booking. He said I could rebook and pay another £117. They had not even found a driver/company yet so their loss was nothing. I was willing to accept a refund or continue with the transaction. They unreasonably refused either and instead said they would keep the charge and there is nothing I can do about it. Internet is full of horrible reviews about similar experiences of other Taxicode customers. Now I learned my lesson, I would never ever buy anything from an unknown company on the web before I check their credentials first.

Like others, I pre-booked taxi's a week ahead, I was going to a wedding in a small village and wanted to be sure I would have transport there and back. They took my money and cancelled both the bookings, each one a couple of hours before I needed the taxi, I then ended up booking a taxi from the next town for a 2 mile journey that ended up costing me over £50! I was able to share somebody else's cab on the way back....complete scam!

We booked a trip for the airport from a small town for 3:30 am Sunday for a very early flight. We received an email confirming the payment and the booking, but have not received the driver confirmation email. Fearing that they will just cancel last minute, we phoned the customer service. We had to call twice before our call was picked up, at 5pm Saturday. The line was very bad with loads of background noise. The customer service said not to worry, that they have already found a driver, and that they will send a confirmation email within a couple of hours. After returning back from dinner later that evening, we checked the email again, but the confirmation email still hadn't come through. We phoned again, but we could not get through (this was between 9 and 10 pm on Saturday). As they said they found a driver earlier, we went to sleep. When we woke up, we found a cancellation email that was sent at 2am, saying they couldn't find a driver. By sheer luck, we were able to find someone to drive us to the airport on time. If I book a taxi ahead, it's because I want to be sure that it's going to be available and on time. Especially during a pandemic with scarce flights, we would have been in a very bad situation had we missed the flight. I do not know if they outright lied, or if they had someone cancel on them, but as we never received a written confirmation, I am inclined to believe that they just lied to a customer. They did not provide the service needed.

SCAM. Do not book with these thieves! Not a real taxi company. Registered as a a software company. They don't own any Taxis. They pass on your bookings to actual taxi companies and once they have your money that's it! you've been scammed! Whether the taxi turns up is luck of the draw.. ours didn't!

TaxiCode, Taxi Comparison etc and many more names are all part of Web3r and they are an absolute con & rip off. For every online booking they take they charge the customer £1.50 and the taxi firm £1.50 for a text message (SMS) £3 in total, taxi firms have never received a text message from them. Taxicode lie and tell each party how much is being paid. In the photo bellow you can see Taxicode told the Taxi firm that the customer paid £26.39 when the customer really paid £32.50. From the £32.50 paid by the customer the Taxi company was paid £21.64 and Taxicode pocketed 33.4% of the fare EVEN though they are charging Taxi firms a monthly subscription fee. Taxicode should be avoided at all cost and Google should take these ripoff merchants offline.

Just avoid. Bookings just don't get fulfilled and trying to get your money back is even harder. Quite surprised they don't actually turn up on horseback. Complete scam run by cowboys.
