“I order from Temu all the TIME!! I never get the 1 cent items. I have called and each time I am told I have only reached an 87% goal to get the one cent items. I have been very pleased up until a couple of months ago. I feel like I am being scammed because I spend what they ask to get them and never gat them. Very unhappy!”
“I was on hold with the hotline for three hours till they finally hung up on me. No one helped me. I’ve been messaging with their chat line for two hours and still have not got my issue resolved. I continue to repeat myself. They say they will get back with me shortly. No one ever comes back. Then when I asked what is taking so long, they respond as if I never messaged at all or as if they already helped me. I also returned six pairs of jeans for a refund. This was six months ago. I still have not got the refund. I would not use Temu anymore after this last issue issue I have I will be deleting them.”
“I've ordered many times from them. Always received the items...yes it can be slow. When I need to return; no issues and most times they don't want it back so I just donate. Always get a timely refund as I pay through PayPal. So far, so good.”
“Most of the things I have gotten from to move have been decent the other part have been horrible products and getting things from them takes forever and they hardly ever update shipping progress I bought a lot from them over time but I believe now I'm done”
“Temu offers for free stuff never arrived, is just an excuse to spend your money, TikTok is a better option cheaper. Fast delivery and no excuses about unavailability, it seems they play with your money for 3 to 4 days before you get a refund.”
“I have ordered so many things from Temu because their prices so cheap but remember that, you get what you paid for. Most things from Temu are bad qualities and some can't use them. Sometimes they don't send me my order and no refund back. Finally I stop buying things from Temu. Beware of scam.”
“I want to warn others about my experience with this company. I placed an order to qualify for a “free item” promotion, only to end up in a confusing, frustrating situation that still hasn’t been resolved.
The checkout process is deliberately misleading. They overwhelm you with huge discounts (90%+), 1-cent deals, and “free” item offers — but you can’t clearly view or review your cart before completing your order. Once you enter your payment information, you’re basically locked in without fully knowing what you’re actually being charged for.
After spending a long time carefully selecting my items, I received two full-priced products — one of which was not what I ordered. The receipt shows the correct item, so the mistake was clearly on their end. Despite that, I’ve now had to contact customer service multiple times, speak with three different reps, and submit photos of the wrong item twice. Each time, they stall or ask for more information, but never actually fix the issue. The shop owner hasn’t responded at all.
I paid for a higher-priced product and received a cheaper substitute, with no resolution in sight.
This entire experience feels like a bait-and-switch — designed to confuse customers and avoid accountability once the sale is made. If a company has to hide the truth to make a sale, that’s a huge red flag.
I’ve saved screenshots of everything and will be reporting this to my credit card company and appropriate consumer protection agencies. Be careful — once they have your payment info, you’re trapped in a mess.”
“I recently received a number of items from Temu for which I was billed. It is much easier to eat the cost than to deal with them. But here is an example of the quality of their products. I ordered a 4TYBE hard drive. When it came it seemed a little light. It worked for only 3 copy paste files. After that it was dead. Out of curiosity I took it apart to see what was inside. I tried to provide a picture. In short, the only meaningful component was a micro SD card glued to a small board. I removed it, stuck it into my PC and it worked fine. The only problem was it is a 78GB drive, not a 4TB. What else will they do?”
“So, I returned an item to Temu and received a $10 credit. I decided to spend that credit, but learned while I could use the credit, I had to buy a minimum of $20 to redeem it. OK, fine. I got an order of about $24 together and paid.
The next day, I received an email from Temu telling me to not forget the items in my cart. Yep, PayPal deducted the money alright. When I complained I was told to cancel the orders. Of the 10 items I bought, three went through - total of about $7. I canceled and got a credit. No option for a refund.
I told them I wanted my $24 refunded NOT credited. I spent about an hour trying to rectify the situation and was stonewalled the entire time. I complained to the attorney general's office. Hopefully, I'll see my money again. NEVER AGAIN, TEMU.”
“The items that came were not as they had been pictured. In order to return them I had to take pictures of the items and fill out their robot review. After all that, they approved the return and had me print a label and send the items back in the same package which I did. They claim they never received it and cancelled my return request. I can't get a person on the phone unless I pay them $5.00!!!!!!! I will never deal with them again!”
“I'm always happy with temu! Deliveries are always within the time frame. Happy with most of the items I've bought except a few. I prefer temu much more than shien.”
“I’m extremely disappointed with this experience. I will not even bother to send photos or videos — what’s the point, if the system clearly doesn’t care?
I placed my order on July 14, and it arrived only on August 1. That’s over two weeks late. When I ordered, the estimated delivery was July 20, and I had every reason to believe that. Instead, I waited almost a month. That’s unacceptable.
Websites like this should not be allowed to mislead customers. People like me deserve respect and transparency. We buyers need to stand together and speak up — delays like this must come with compensation, at least free shipping or partial refunds.
Right now, I feel like Temu doesn’t care at all. I trusted this platform, but now I think it’s better deleted altogether. I will continue to speak honestly and warn other buyers about my experience.”
“In July, I have had 2 orders that said they were delivered but they were not. I am no longer interested in ordering anything from Temu again. I deleted my payment method and my address as well as my email address. I'm done.”
“I ordered a dress in 2 different colors same dress was sent ,dresses were inferior in quality, thread was unraveling and when attempted to reach I encountered aggravation, site was not user friendly,so I contacted PayPal which I use for buyer’s protection and Temu emailed me back and asked that if I removed the complaint and negative review, I would be reimbursed. So much time has been wasted, so Temu refused to refund. I choose not to do business with business that treats their customers as I have been treated, & am only to glad to let consumer beware doing business with Temu.”
