“Bought a Flite recently. No experience with prior tents, this was my first one. It did take me a few tries to get comfortable with the ratchets and not mess up but overall the tent is great. It beautifully designed and is just magical once is set up. To be fair though, buying 2 more ratchets made the assembly way easier but adds more weight in case you go solo. The support is fast and they try to help you out in case of need. I', based in Italy and so far everyone that sees me in the tent gets jealous. It is a great gift so get one for yourself!”

“This summer I used my new bought Safari Connect 3.0 for a holiday in the Alpes with my family. It's a great tent to sleep in. Much better for my cranky lower back than a normal tent. Because of the high fun rate of the tent and the therapeutic effect for my lower back, there was some discussion with my kids and wife about who was going to sleep in the Safari Connect and who was going to sleep in the normal tent. I am sure the Safari connect will be my standard equipment for my future camping trips. The tent is super well built and not too difficult to hang. Little things I still have to figure out: -how to fix the tentsile sky pads, because they make their own trip during the night. (I saw the inner sheet on the website but I am afraid my tent is not compatible with it). -during the night I have to fix the rainfly well around the innertent because a lot of cold air comes into the tent. Especially the head side of the tent is still difficult for me to close well. Practical tip: use a cross line laser to be sure the tent hangs in a horizontal position :-)”

“This is nice way to spend night out here in northern Finland (during summer😉). You can feel the nature, see the stars and the best thing: without mosquitos! Only problem is FedEx' s slow "service"...”

“Having first set it up in the dark, it was not to difficult but was more than what I expected based on the landscape. The main trouble came with weight distribution, since that was not listed in the green set up guide. Once I get the weight distribution fixed I'll put it at a 5 star.”

“Got my tent the stingray safari 3 and was surprised to see the cool bag it comes in - loaded up the tent in our canoe, paddled out on the lake and found a great spot among the trees. First off, got the tent out of the bag and slung it up among the trees, wich was really simple to do even the first time. However - once the tent was hooked up i could do a visual inspection of the tent and rainfly and i found a few defects in mine, some uv coating in the floor missing and a few stitching issues in the tent pole socket in the moscito mesh, also a defect in one of the seems for the rain fly, took some photos and wrote a mail to customer support, i think it took me 30min to get answers on mail back and they told me to ship it back - the tent itself looks terrific when it comes to quality itself fabrics and such - hands down one of the best customer support I’ve ever experienced. And things like this can infact happen. Besides of that, my family 2kids my wify and my self got to spend three nights in the tent before i shipped it back for replacement and i can only tell you what a great and awsome tenting experience that was, and also on the rain free nights, dropping the rainfly and to see the starst through the mesh is just awsome, cant wait for the replacement to return, were going straigt back up in the trees, awsome i would have rated this one 5/5 if it wasn’t for the defects. Once again Tentsile guys awsome customer support and super cool tent - highly recommended”

“The tent in itself was exelent, the set up took a little more effort than expected but can be remedied with practice. AND THERE WILL BE A LOT OF PRACTICE! Love it and can't wait to go use it again!”

Thanks, Samuli. Often first set-ups can be slower, as there is a lot of learning going on. I remember it took me a long time (almost an hour on my first set-up all those years ago. Now I can put up any Tentsile product in under 10 mins. It comes quickly. Have a great summer - and let us know how it goes!

“Very cool! A bit hard to get it levelled. In addition could be a bit more "stiff" sideways so that when one moves the whole telt doesn't move as much (probably not that easy to do - but would be very good!). Also of course quite big/heavy but I believe that is hard to do something with and at the same time keep it secure (as most of the weigh are straps and that thing to tighten the straps)”

Thank you for the feedback, Edvard. We think they are pretty cool too! Yey! 👍 You are right that much of the weight is in the ratchets and straps. We find that many people either use cars to get to location or, if travelling by foot, split the weight between them. I assume you have one of the heavier models. “I bought the trillium after which I decided to get the tent conversion kit, which may have been mistake. I probably should have went for a tent from the beginning. The upgrade was rated as a four season tent, which it sadly is not. The first snow fall broke the single pole, which tore the fly, and is not sturdy enough to withstand the weight, and no matter how I tied the guy lines or leveled the tent, it always leaked in rains, and was not suitable to sleep in the rain because your body weight creates a low spot where the water inevitably will run right to you. My single person tent however, is great and watertight, and provides a comfy shelter even in the rain.”

“We are really excited about these hammocks. It was much more challenging to put up than we thought. We had to utilize another anchor point to get it as tight as possible. Even after working hard to get it balanced out and tight, it still gets really low to the ground. I would take any recommendations on set up you have to offer.”
