“Ordered a sofa which I not only waited five weeks for, due to the incompetence and appalling service of their courier (giving delivery slots of 3-6 and then arriving at 12.45 when I am at work despite being told when booking the delivery that I would not be in before the slot time and reassured that this would not be a problem!) and when it finally arrived without even so much as an apology, despite my measuring using the sizes provided on the website, then did not fit through my door so had to be returned! I have moved into a new home 5 weeks ago and still have nothing to sit on! Nothing but stress and poor communication from start to finish without even a product to console me at the end of it! I expect I will be waiting for weeks to a refund as well! Will never be ordering from Tesco Direct again.”
“Almost 2 years ago we switched from using Tesco and their delivery service to Asda. It was an unmittigated disaster. We have now returned to Tesco and use their home delivery. yes you pay a few pennies more, but the quality of the service is far far superior. Decent sell by dates, few substitutions (and those there are have been reasonably thought out). On time deliveries, some even arrive early!
One delivery suffered a vehicle breakdown. We received a very apologetic phone call from the driver, but at our suggestion we went to the van and collected our shopping. We took the opportunity to take a cuppa to the driver, who was appreciative.
Tesco have clearly majored on customer service and all is good!”
“Found a condom in the curly Kale. After chasing the complaint for several weeks I was told the supplier report was that it wasn’t added during manufacturing process. Angered I asked to have dna tests to prove it wasn’t us and that it had indeed been added prior to purchase. I was told they would answer after the weekend but then they just destroyed the evidence so we could no longer prove our innocence.
A shameful cover up by Tesco and their supplier and a shameful disregard for customers health and safety in food products.
Disgusting.”
“The most of the products are damaged. Bananas old, tomatoes squashed and many other things that went wrong during my last visit. I have a feeling that ASDA pices are lower.”
“Tesco customer service is excellent and using club card helps customers a lot in different ways to use those points. The quality of products is remarkable.Everything about Tesco is amazing and to have a superstore like Tesco is beyond our imagination.Without a Tesco supermarket I cant think what would I have done. I love Tesco superstore to bits.”
“I'm fed up of the poor quality of their finest steaks range. Unless they are a fillet steak (which are great btw) the last 5 or 6 times I've bought anything other than fillet from the finest range all ive got is fatty, tough and inedible pieces of meat. Nothing to do with how I prepare it either. And you wonder why your company is dying a slow death? First you start compromising on customer service, now the quality of your food.....sort it out Tesco.”
“Never thought I'd see the day that tesco would no longer have my custom! To say I'm utterly disappointment and disgusted would be an understatement. A tesco delivery driver attended my address before my booked time slot and because I was not at home he was rude to me on the phone, barking at me to "hurry up!". When I got home he threw the boxes down at my door, before I started unloading them, I simply stated that he should not speak to a customer in that manner. To that he responded by taking back my groceries throwing them back in his van and driving off but not before coming back on my doorstep to tell me I am wrong and what am I going to do about it.
After immediately making a complaint with Tesco customer service, they dealt with the situation by invalidating a £5 gift voucher they previously offered me, cancelling my groceries order completely without notifying me when they initially said they would reattempt delivery that day and making no contact with me even though 5 different agents kept telling me a manager would be in touch. I never received my groceries and was told to rebook for another day and pay again!
Only after a week and emailing the CEO's office was I offered an apology and a £15 e-voucher. Sadly in this case, from the evil little sorry excuse of a delivery man with a bruised ego to the customer service team to the management, Tesco's motto was VERY LITTLE HELPS!”
“Not always available when I want to shop. I reserved one time and they didn’t reserve for me they apologised but I live around trip 15 miles so love your delivery service”
“THE STAFF ARE ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP ME FIND THE THINGS ON THE 'LIST' AND SO NOT GET THE WRONG THING (AND EARACHE)..........................MAN ALONE MISSION. IF A PROBLEM ITEM OR NOT ON THE SHELF THEY WILL INEVITABLY OFFER TO 'LOOK FOR ME' TO GET ME OUT OF TROUBLE AND INTO BROWNIE POINTS. THEY'RE ALWAYS COURTIOUS AND KIND AND NOTHING SEEMS TOO MUCH BOTHER - EVEN WHEN THEY'RE BUSY.”
