My claim, which is being disputed by the third party, was handed over to a different insurance company, who had no interest in actually investigating the claim. Was passed back to the AA and sent them the details of cctv cameras that would have caught the incident and proven the third party’s liability. AA haven’t contacted me since so I’ve just called them to find out they didn’t even bother contacting the cctv owners at the time and the cctv has more than likely been deleted now. They have done nothing to actually investigate my claim.

Really bad. In the modern day why can't I submit a claim online with all my documents/evidence and wait for a response? instead you need to phone up, sit on hold for over an hour to speak to someone and then follow up via emails to submit documents anyway. really stupid way to make things super difficult for customers needing to make a claim.

Appalling service overall. 30mins at least to get through on the phone. Late to call out. Over charged. Extremely slow processing refund. Call staff clueless. I've cancelled my membership. Best to steer clear!

Find a local recovery company it will save you a lot of time and money!! A lot cheaper and easier to deal with. AA moved our car to a safe place after we broke down and seemingly forgot to send someone out to look at the car or recover it after paying £157.99 and 7.99 thereafter each month, we waited 4 hours while getting texts advising assistance was on its way. They sent the second recovery vehicle to the mechanics that the car was supposed to be delivered to and we had to book it in again for collection. We rebooked and no one showed up, we ended up having to get ourselves and 2 young kids home and leave the car at 10pm at night on the roadside. The next day they wouldnt take the car more than 10 miles to our mechanic 16 miles away, eventually after many phone calls, the recovery guys (not AA) took the car to our mechanic out of their own goodwill and and said AA were rapidly going down hill and ripping customers off. Do not recommend at all, try local recovery and mechanics first or maybe RAC, stay clear of AA. Images show first contact 15:58 and last message 20:30 and at 21:05 no one had arrived still so we arranged our own transport home and left the car around 10pm.

I've just been on the phone for 40 min to report I had a chip in my windscreen put through to 3 different centers who ask the same questions, at the end still haven't got a time or date to get it repaired. I am fully comprehensive with the AA with windscreen cover disgusting service.

I asked the AA to inspect a car i wanted to buy the AA charged me £202 .Before they inspected the car the dealer sold it.I then requested the AA to inspect another car and gave them the details and informed the dealer. The next day the AA contacted me to inform me that they dont inspect cars in Inverness as it was outside the area they covered.I requested my money to be returned and AA charged me a £20 cancellation fee that i thought was a bit sharp plus i have not seen any of my £202 back yet. The whole thing has taken 3 weeks and been a complete waste of time and cost me £20 plus still waiting for my money to be returned.I would not recommend this service

I purchased tickets two weeks ago. Today I checked in and got two seats: 12b and 10a. I'm traveling woth my wife. Why should I worry about switching seats with somebody who doesn't want it? American airlines is the worst company in the world. I wish them to get bankruptcy ASAP. A trash like American airlines must be void forever.

Absolute Disgrace. Was stuck in car for 3 hours before being advised that no mechanics could be located. Forget it . Would certainly not recommend using this company who basically couldn't care less

Please do not pay over the odds for parts and labour. They will not pay out. They find any way to get out of it. You can't claim for damage wear and tear. Which is almost everything.

Absolutely disgraceful service. 19 hours to recover car and passengers 80 miles! 26th March, Tyre failure near Kirby Lonsdale, phoned AA 2.45 pm, told recovery would be with us 4.30pm latest. Van arrived at 5.10. Unable to find a replacement tyre. Recovery vehicle requested and informed recovery would be 2 to 4 hours. Much later informed recovery vehicle slightly delayed now 10.15. Call received from Four Counties breakdown service, job passed to them, now told be with us 10.30 to 11.00pm latest. Waited till midnight, no recovery. Tried phoning AA, 35 minutes no reply just a hundred “thank you for your patience” recorded messages. Finally recovery arrived 12.45 am, informed they would take us part of way them AA would complete the recovery. When asked if a recovery vehicle would be available for 2nd part we were assured it was all arranged and AA had a vehicle waiting. Arrived Rivington Servicesat 3.38am (originall we broke down 80 miles from home, now 97 miles), no recovery vehicle despite repeated assurances it was all fully arranged. Four Seasons driver contacted AA, informed they did not have anyone available, estimated time for recovery now 8.15am! AA phone operator then suggested we lock keys in car and he would find a taxi to take us home to Doncaster, explained you cannot lock keys in car (BMW 640 M Sport Gran Coupe) and asked how he intended to retrieve them even if we could? He then suggested we lock car and leave them on top of a tyre! Not sure my insurer would be happy if someone found them so declined this suggestion. Next suggested he get us a taxi to take us home and we return at an arranged time with the keys! On asking who would pay for return taxi informed they only pay to get us home and we would have to sort out return at our cost!! By this time we had circa 3 hours until next “promised” recovery time so hunkered down again, finally breakdown arrived at 8.20am and delivered us to our home at 10.45am. 19 hours to recover a car, driver and 2 passengers 80 miles! At the average of 4.2 mph we could have pushed it home ourselves in that time! We are each 70 years of age or older and in all of those years have never received such an uncaring and disgraceful service from any company, let alone one that spends fortunes on ads telling future customers a pack of lies about it’s promised service. In all. If you are considering joining please think again. It is clear they have far to many members and seriously lack the vehicles or people to fulfil their existing commitments, please don’t add to it by joining. Only plus point is a big thank you to the two patrol drivers (unfortunately did not get the Four Counties drivers name) and Thomas who recovered us to Doncaster from Tivington, they were both professional, courteous and shining examples in what is the dark abyss called th AA and completely wasted on a company who treat customers so badly

Smartcare does NOT verify garages vehicle Diagnostic Tests. Smartcare takes garages at their word - therefore not protecting consumers from misleading mechanics diagnostics. Smartcare Service is useless.

If I could give the AA 0 stars I would. Last night my family's car broke down in the middle of a busy junction in central London, blocking a main road behind traffic lights. We had four people including a disabled person who couldn't walk in the vehicle and despite numerous calls, texts, and attempts to reach the AA on every social media platform they have it took them 10 hours to reach us and offer us any kind of support. I'm absolutely shocked and outraged at the negligence of the AA last night - what I thought was a reliable company failed to come to our aid and kept us in an incredibly dangerous situation, ignoring all of our messages and leaving us on hold for hours. If you have any option to NOT use the AA I recommend turning elsewhere for support. Two of the four passengers I was with have AA memberships, and yet they still charged us a high fee when they eventually came to pick up the car at 4am.
