Absolutely terrible experience. I had a business membership with them at around £24 a month, and when I actually needed them, they were nowhere to be found. On top of that, I was quoted nearly £400 just to recover my van, which is completely unreasonable considering I’d been paying monthly. Trying to cancel was even worse. You can’t get through to anyone on the phone — it asks for your policy number and then never connects you. Everything is pushed through chatbots, and it feels almost impossible to speak to a real person. When I finally did get through to an agent via live chat, they closed the conversation while I still had questions, which says everything about their customer service. To make things worse, even after cancelling, they still charge you for another month due to their “cancellation policy,” which just adds to the frustration. Overall, a very poor service — difficult to contact, unhelpful when needed, and frustrating to leave. I would never use this company again.

Two young female drivers were left stranded overnight on the outskirts of Brighton despite having AA Family Cover. The breakdown was reported at 10pm, with an initial ETA given, but no effective help was provided for hours. A third party contractor attended but refused to assist and left them to arrange their own recovery late at night. During this time they were stuck in a bus lane and subjected to abuse from a bus driver, while also dealing with groups of intoxicated men walking past, staring into the car and at one point banging on the windows. As parents we had no choice but to drive to them at 2am, with one of us remaining with the car overnight. When an AA technician finally arrived at 6:30am, the issue was resolved quickly and described as a simple fix, raising serious questions about why the girls were left in that situation for so long. A formal complaint was submitted and acknowledged with a five working day response commitment. That deadline has now passed with no result or reply. This falls far below what you would expect from a company that promotes safety, reassurance and duty of care. There still has been no personal contact or reimbursement for the horrendous ordeal.

Jesuthasan Rajkumar (Raj) is an excellent driving instructor. I was learning with him for about a month and passed my test first time, which I’m really happy about. He was very patient, calm, and clear when explaining things, which helped build my confidence quickly. He made lessons feel relaxed but still very focused and productive, and he always gave helpful feedback to improve my driving. I would definitely recommend Raj to anyone looking for a supportive and professional instructor who helps you feel ready for your test. Thank you so much for helping me pass first time! 🚗🎉👏

Waate of time continue to pay £300 per Yr... When break down don't come our for hours.... Shoddy service best to save the money and when happen to breakdown pay another firm one off recovery fee

Have alway been a member of the AA great service. Bought a new car thought possibly do not need the AA am I glad I kept the membership as hit a pot hole and phoned the AA there within a hour and assisted to Kwikfit thankyou Vincent for your help.

AA driver Matt gave me a middle finger I have been a long standing member of the AA and had a home call out for my dead battery. Matt arrived at 17:30 and was very rude and spoke to me in a very disrespectful manner. After being told he cannot fit my replacement battery, he jump starting my car which is fair enough. After being spoken to the way I was I asked for his name, he responded "Matt, Why? if you want to call the AA you can argue all you want but they're not going to do anything". I went inside my house while my car was running, then came back out to check it at 17:50PM, after waiting at the bottom of my road Matt drove past me, put his interior light on and gave me a middle finger. This is unacceptable behaviour and will be cancelling my membership with the AA. appalled. I need his behaviour to be investigated as to why he thinks he can treat customers like this. Kieran helped me today and was amazing! I had a blown Tyre on the A130 and he did a top job turning up quickly, giving me options, organized a mobile repair man & stayed with me until the job was done ! Making sure I was safe and warm !! Absolutely wonderful assistance ! Superstar Hero thank you 😊

Total Wa….., waited 3.5 hours after being told 40 minutes. Every time it got close to the ETA they added 20 minutes more on. It is a horror story that nobody knows when it will end!

I was stuck in a supermarket car park and my car wouldn't start, I used the app to request breakdown assistance, and within 30 minutes, Lee, the technician called me and arrived soon after. Less than 15 minutes later, he'd diagnosed a faulty battery, replaced it, and had my car back on the road. Lee was friendly, efficient and helpful. Less than an hour in total, I was on my way home. Great service!

The ability to cancel my monthly payment following a 35 percent increase in pricing was horrific. The website, the app and then the call centre all make it obstructive to cancel. Be careful folks and keep an eye out on those ridiculous price increases once they have you locked in. Proper sharks. Such a shame when they used to stand for a totally different value system.
