A.A.insurance documents are available on line but I find it a bit greedy that paper documents are only available at an extra cost. However cover offered is competitive .

Went to change address with 3 and a but months keft to run on house insurance policy. Advised that AA are brokers and the company they insured me with doesn't insure on my new postcode, which is on the biggest private housing estate in Europe. Instead they could only cancel the policy giving me 7 days to find another or they could sell me another policy at 50% higher premium with another insurer. Went on line and insured through another at near original premium. Won't use AA again

Insisted that l have automatic renewal- which l did not want! Did not advise me that European cover would be exta - in the event this cost a further £37 for 7 days in France. Did also adopt breakdown cover as a new customer for £19 ( UK only) which l will place elsewhere next year since l can obtain it cheaper than their full price cost price of £60.

They were ok. Until I bought a van in December & they could not switch the insurance over so I lost out on my no claims bonus. & they got my details wrong. So all in all "not impressed"

Each year the AA send me their quote for the following year. It's always way high, and every year I 'phone them and every year they say "Hold on a minute - I 'll see if I can do anything for you", and every year they then come up with a sensible quote [it's the same with their recovery services also]. Why oh why do they try it on each year - do they think we're completely thick??

I tried to cancel this policy over aweek ago as we no longer own the car insured no answer by phone or e mail, I was also not happy with eth psuhy saleswomen who rang when teh houshold insuarnce expired aferter 6 months. I shall avoid the AA in future.

Had occasion to call out AA Breakdown which came with the policy who arrived quite promptly and effectively changed the wheel of my car due to puncture. Tried to add my America based son to my policy over Christmas and was informed that this could not be done. Apparently this is endemic through the insurance trade. It would have been handy at that time to have my 49 year old son drive but his age made no affect. The last time he was in the UK did which was three years ago. I can drive on his policy when I visit the States, however, I am nervous with the change in driving on the opposite side. I am 73.

So far all has been good for 2014, however price is still a keen issue......... Watch what the premium is for 2015 , or else.
