I have made a claim under this policy. However I did not receive the refund of the excess I had to pay (£200). This seemed enormously complicated and did not come to fruition.

I have not sued the insurance as you would expect so I have no idea if they are any good or not I don't really know where to find my policy documents or phone number to make a claim as like other companies it's done online to save money with total disregard for customers!

When you buy policy the AA put you on auto renewal, now got to phone up to cancel the auto renewal before it goes up in price.

Although everything was arranged online, I asked for documents through the post, it took two/three phone calls to eventually get my Certificate of Insurance. I have road-side assistance, since taking out i have changed my car, and because my old car registration is on the card it isn't valid so another phone call to change - bonkers. Whether I will renew is another question.

Information provided on line was lengthy and tedious. No Certificate was provided which I normally like to keep in the glove box.

Five months into the claim and still not fully settled. Very slow although coved19 played a part during the lockdown.

We had an accident in November 2019 Pheasant hit car it went into repair when it came back fuel was leaking from tank we had to take it to Renault as the AA and repairer both refused any responsibility and a rodent had eaten a hole in the tank my argument is that probably happened at workshop but both accepted no responsibility so we had to put 2nd claim in which I have disputed to no avail

When I changed my car it was not possible to stay with AA Ins ?? Reason given they would not insure my newer vehicle ? Tried to offer me another policy with a different company .. far more expensive I declined and found a policy myself with no problem to insure my new to me car.. Ford KA 2008 .... ? My previous 4x4 Honda 19yrs old... ?

AS the other driver admitted fault we were advised to go thro claimfast instead of co-op. They produced a hire car which we did not want , took car for inspection and informed it was a write off due to age of car. When told we wanted to keep the car, they said would have to go thro our own insurance instead. The car was eventually repaired but we had to pay £350 excess. WE HAVE STILL NOT RECIEVED our monies after almost 6 months. AA legal team keep passing the buck back to claimfast. We will not re-new with the AA or the roadside assistance which we have had for 30 years.
