“Fast delivery, pretty good quality wood. My only slight criticism would be that the blanks were slightly bowed as they had dried (presumably since being cut) but the movement was only slight and I'd rather it happened before turning than after. No apparent defects in the wood and nice grain pattern. Turned one piece immediately; it was nice to work and took a finish nicely. Nice wood, great customer service and speedy delivery. I'll probably use you again.”

“The service was prompt, but I did not notice any alternative to the next day delivery service I paid for. An (obvious) alternative would have been appreciated. The web site was a bit of a jumble. Overall, I got what I paid for (too) promptly.”

“Purchase Sorby Chisels. First distributor didn't even reply to my enquiry. Transaction and dispatch fine. DPD sent me an email saying that I had requested the delivery be made a day later (two days after purchase) which I did not.”

“The product info on the Toolpost website helped me select a 11/2" Robert Sorbey Framing Chisel which is something I'd never heard of before researching online. It is absolutely the right tool I needed for traditional green oak frame joints and has made a massive difference to the project. The only disappointment was the leather edge protector is a very loose fit and not worth the £5 extra. Overall good service.”

“Customer Service was excellent, range of products for sale was excellent, products were competitively priced in my opinion. However I am only leaving an overall rating of good and not very good as I had some trouble in navigating the website to find what I wanted. I think the website could do with a facelift, possibly a new colour scheme, something to make it easier to navigate the site and make it look more contemporary. It would help to arrange similar products together, as an example when I browse your wood turning tools and if I go straight to bowl gouges, I only see tools from Taylor and Sorby brands, Crown are in a section of their own and so are Hamlet. The latter two tend to be my preferred brands and If for example I was unfamiliar with your site and was only having a quick browse and not willing to look in every section to find what I wanted I would probably presume they were not sold by you and would move on to another retailer. Rant aside, I still think the Toolpost is well up there with the best of tool shops!”

Thankls for your comments - with which we wholeheartedly agree! We are working towards a "better" website, but we have to do so within the bounds of affordability so it is a stepwise appraoch. We'll get there - eventually - and hopefully you'll find the new site more easy to navigate!
