first the phone system is horrible a year ago they said it would be repaired. I ordered 4 bundles of cigars, the rep said if I order 1 more bundle I would get a 10 dollar coupon. What he did not say was the coupon Expired 2 weeks after I got 100 cigars. I am sure I won't run out in 2 weeks. Horrible sales tactic. Only 1 of along list of complaints i have so after using them for over 25 years its about time to stop doing business with them.

Worst company I’ve dealt with in a long time. Terrible customer service and insanely long shipping times. Avoid this dump. Try West Virginia Smokeshop instead. They’re amazing.

Site will show items in stock. Once you order, you get an "out of stock" notice. Cancelling is nearly impossible as employees don't answer the customer service line or reply to emails. When products are in stock, shipping can take a week or longer. I quit ordering from them and went with Famous Smoke Shop. I get much better service there.

Well, I guess I’ll pile on! I’ve been a customer for several years, sporadically. I ordered from the website, 5 packs all listed as available last Wednesday. As of cob today the status is still “processing “. Today I was told the cigars will be delivered within 5-10 business days from today! I’m guessing that they are subbing for another tobacco company making more than they normally do. I’m giving them until Thursday to get it shipped or I’ll cancel order.

Paid for overnight shipping. Shipment was lost and it is impossible to speak to a native English speaker so nothing was resolver. Finally received the shipment about a week later and was never even refunded for the shipping. Horrible customer service and I spent a lot of money there over the last year. There are many other competitors to choose from.

I cancelled auto shipping. 2 months later I get a shipment, called customer service and paid shipping to send item back. 3 weeks later, no refund received and customer service wants 15 more days to process my refund. They took my money quickly without permission but move like a snail when a refund is requested. Avoid this retailer.

i ordered cigars and a big humidor 15 days before my friends birthday party then i receive it and checked out the box no damage to it at all... i open it up and removed the top styrofoam and found a huge dent in the top of the lid and it wasnt and couldnt have been made from shipping it had to be packaged that way and the best the can do is a return or replace in 5 days or refund after they receive the old one even i spoke to a supervisor, this is a very disrespectful company and they could care less about the product you purchase from them...dont buy from this cheap company!!!

Called customer service 4to5times.25% of my order was unsmokeable. Everyone speaks broken English and is sorry but refuses to help. Waiting for return labels and call backs. I believe neither will ever be received. This company sucks! I will never order from Thompson again

Was billed two months for thrir TVSP program which I never asked for. Disputed the charge and filed a complaint with the BBB. Never do business with them. WARNING!!!!

Been a customer for over 10 years & Im done with them.. Shaddy tactics are bad business!! My advice stay away from doing any business with these rip off artists!!

I placed a $400 order for Christmas presents to extended family and coworkers. When I received the order it looked like some had opened the box and walked all over the contents inside. The gift pack that I bought included 2 scotch glasses and both were broke. Both Lighters that I bought didn't work. I called and must of got lucky and got a American Lady who spoke good english to send me a UPS Return Shipping Label...And 3-4 days later I finally received it. 2 Weeks later I noticed they only refunded $350 of my $400 order. I called to see what was going on and of course I got the foreign chick with a horrible accent who couldn't help on send and email to the American, English Speaking People to get back to me in a couple days. If you look at Thompson Website it tricks you into buying in quantity to get a price you can usually beat down the street and you local cigar vendor...Oh and I bet they are more ethical and speak good english! Never Again!

My Bonus Box club delivery was a day late, so I called the old owner Robert Franzblau. (813 286 2619) RF lives a few doors down from me on Culbreath Isles drive here in Tampa. His wife Jo answered, and said they have been pretty disappointed with the new owners. RF came to the phone and was pretty frustrated also, so he called Scandanavian Tobacco and got it straightened out the same day. My Cigars were hand by Bob wearing his signature white and blue stripped rail road jacket and hat. RF also brought a bottle of Opus One and a box of Opus X Piramide with his compliments. We enjoyed the wine a day later fishing and eating fabulous food cooked by his personal chef on RF's Viking yacht. Like most things in life, its not what you know but who you know. Cheers!

Was a customer for more than 5years, customer service is terrible had a billing problem, couldn't get a phone rep, finally they called me, told them to give me a bill in writing, told me they would, instead sent it to collection. Worst customer care ever.

Customer service is non existent, hold times of an hour or more. prices are great, delivery is slow, if you even get your order shipped. Returns and Refunds next to impossible. First you're on hold for an hour, then the rep is an uninformed fool. Wait time of a month to get return labels then another month to get your refund, if you get it at all.

I placed an order back on September 11. I finally called last week and was told the order was still on back order. They said they had my billing info. Now I receive an email telling me there’s a problem with my pay pal. There’s NO PROBLEM. I called and was told the cigars are back ordered yet again. What a mess!! Take me off future mailings. I’ve had a very bad experience recently with Thompson cigars. I’ve been a long lasting customer for a very long time and recently I placed an order with them and the credit card stayed in processing for four days. I never got any correspondence why, any emails, phone calls, nothing. When I called they told me it was an internal problem on their end and that they were working on a resolution. I should note this is the same credit card I always use when I From them weekly. I ended up canceling my order and bought locally. I thought I would give them another try And had the exact same experience as the first time. I denticle experience. Except this time I called on Monday and was told everything looked fine with the order it should ship out on Tuesday. I called on Tuesday and was told that the order is still processing and then I would receive a phone call by 5 PM with the disposition on it. The representative said she would put a rush on the order and have it sent out to me the next day and she would have information for me by 5 PM. I never received a phone call. I called back at 7 PM and was told that they could have the order sent out within two days and all they could do for me was remove the extra shipping that I had paid for. Unfortunately I will never be ordering from Thompson’s cigars again. And I will be leaving a review like this on every social media platform.
