“Great service if you are looking to expand your knowledge of sake or find they types you like. Received my first box this month and everything went exactly as described and my box looked exactly as shown. I love that they go the extra step to include information about each one in English. I live in a state with extreme heat and did not have any problems with quality. Keep in mind this is a service - the goal isn't to get you the biggest bottle of alcohol for the lowest cost. You are paying for three main things; Freshness (much of the distribution chain is streamlined through this service), Convenience (delivered directly to you rather than going to a store), Service (different bottles are curated with food pairings/seasonality in mind).
You are notified every step of the way about what is happening, when things will ship, when you will be charged next and what to do if you want to pause/end that charge before it hits, so it's not a huge commitment. I ordered one box to try it but decided to leave the subscription running after getting the first one.
Two features I think would be good to add in the future would subscriptions more focused on preferences (like some sort of preference quiz you can take beforehand) and the ability to add on other items, perhaps at a discount or free shipping or something to go out with your order (similar to how makeup subscription services offer you a limited time to upgrade or add on items with that month's shipment)”
