Appalling customer service!! Ordered perfume & aftershave which stated IN STOCK on website paid through PayPal. Then 4 days later received email advising that they were awaiting stock. Checked order status which stated order cancelled. No telephone number on website to contact customer service so filled in online query form. 3 days later received reply to inform me order had been cancelled but no mention of why or refund. Searched on Google and found a tel number and gave them call. Excuse I got was item out of stock so they cancelled order (without telling me) , was told I would be refunded immediately back to PayPal. 8 days later and still no sign of refund. Opened dispute through pal have sent a further 4 messages to this company but had NO reply. Quick to take money but any problems and they just couldn't care less. Definitely won't buy from again.

We are sorry to hear that you have received such a negative experience from ourselves and as there is no reference number for us to review this matter we cannot further review this circumstance. During December we experienced a technical glitch which delayed the stock levels transferring to our website and despite attempting to source the stock from alternative locations (hence the delay in the later e-mail) we resigned to the fact that cancellations of the items was our last resort. Again, with the email you have provided on review we cannot see an order reference or any correspondence you have sent for us to rectify this situation. Stock availability was only confirmed after purchase. Stock was not available. No contact number to discuss when the stock will be available, so I could make an informed decision whether i still wanbt to make the purchase. Delivery is still processing, so hopefully the final phase of the transaction will be smoother

went to buy farah trousers price 1999 went to till to pay and was told they were 2499 not good .

I baught a 5 foot weeping willow Tree for an amazing price of 29.99 I have looked everywhere for one and this was the cheapest by far wen I set it up I was very happy thanx

Several weeks ago I placed and paid for 2quest electric blankets. After 2deliveries of king size, I got my money back. They then said their had been a mix up with sizes and took it off the website. I then saw they put them back on but only had the double. I took a chance with size and ordered two . I got a£1 off but not the 10% for first order, which it was as I never got the previous ones, so I feel hard done by, and especially all the trouble I had when trying to get the first order which waS aborted. I went tj Hughes today in Chelmsford and was absoulety disgusted with the way the store. There are boxes everywhere you couldn't go down a isle cause there where boxes in the way. It's an accident waiting to happen.

Having purchased a pair of sheep's skin lined slippers for my husband two weeks ago on 8th Nov. in your Maidstone store he was very surprised after one week of wearing the brown fabric on the outside of one of the slippers has shown a hole.My husband has today gone back to the shop with the slippers in their original box to show them and ask for a refund.He has been refused on the grounds that one of your assistants says it is a burn mark.In other words he is responsible.This is impossible as no one smokes in our house and we have no open fires.In my opinion the product is of poor quality and not fit for sale .He had a valid receipt but has been refused a refund.I will not be shopping with T.J Hughes in the future with their terrible customer service.

Order was processed fast, packaging was good and all products ordered arrived and in good condition. I will be using TJ Hughes again. The items ordered were all good value for money and considerably cheaper than some other stores.

Hi i had a bit of a do with TJS. My family especially my late mum have spent fortunes in TJ Hughes.It was our favourite shop and remains one of mine. I got a music centre for my partner for his birthday. It had a turntable. We had people round and were thrilled as we were going to play some old punk vinyl. It didn't work I was so embarressed. I wrote back to TJS and got a bit of a snotty reply. I was taken aback they are usually great. Anyway after many emails it was sorted and well. Then I was super disappointed to make it up to me the person I dealt with told me they'd put ten quid in my account an e voucher. I logged in and tried to spend it. Couldn't find it. Emailed them three times now and no reply about the mysterious voucher. I have no idea how to find it if it is there and I asked if I could get a table for my disabled grandson. No reply So they would have had an excellent for their review instead they've got a good. They did replace the music centre and I should have tested it before I gave it to my partner. I didn't think I needed to as I trusted TJs. Another gripe is they are super good at delivering yet they had to get Yodel to pick the faulty one up?? HOW much money would they have saved if they just got the faulty one when the delivered the replacement? Then these savings could be passed onto us.

A few weeks ago, I ordered and paid for two quest king size electric blankets. They came within a few days, but they were double. They were sent back with the promise of the correct size being reordered. They came again, and guess what, they were double again. These were sent back, and I noticed the item had been completely removed from the website and was given a refund. No explanation at all. Had I known they could not get the king size ones, I would have kept the double with the appropriate refund in price. But there was no communication what so ever about the state of the stock situation. Winter is here and I do not have two electric blankets to keep us warm. I am very disappointed with the experience. I am sorry to hear of your disappointment in regards to the service we provided.After further investigation it seems there has been an issue with our product codes and we have made an error with the sizes, which we have now rectified, thus the reason why for the product removal from the site. Bought a Bosch vacuum which was so much cheaper than anywhere else.i am so pleased with it Delivery was excellent.i shall definitely be using t.j.hughes again. Overall I would say 10/10.

Ordered an item on line for a birthday present. The item didn't turn up on the date it was supposed to so therefore i had to go out and purchase a new birthday present. I received an email about a week after the due delivery date stating that the order had been lost at the couriers and there was no more available. I then sent an email complaining about this to which i have not received any correspondence what so ever from them and it is now a week on from me sending so i am very disappointed. It would not have been too difficult for them to apologise for their error not mine. Paul

I ordered aftershave for one of my husbands Christmas gifts ,it only took one day to arrive,I requested it be left at a neighbours,& this was done...it was very securely packed.in all I was very happy with the excellent service.
