I ordered a Memphis love seat from the garden furniture range ,the first one I ordered had obviously been sent to another customer and sent back it was badly damaged ,had to wait in a full day for it to be picked up and another day for another one to be delivered ,to be disappointed again ,it was another damaged one ,at the moment I,m waiting another day in for this to be picked up ,so to avoid further disappointment I cancelled to be told I might have to wait a week for my money to go back in to my account ,I still have no seat for my garden and minus the money to go somewhere else ,I could not go through further disappointment and frustration !

Having made a special journey to the newly opened Maidstone store I was disappointed that the goods I had wanted to purchase at an 'opening offer' price were full price. The Floor Manager went to check and never returned. Despite the lady assistant being very helpful - and very apologetic about the situation - I decided I wouldn't shop there again. However, when I contacted TJ Hughes to express my annoyance my complaint was dealt with very efficiently and to my complete satisfaction. It restored my faith in this store so I will be shopping there again afterall.

OMG I have never had such a bad online shopping experience . I placed two orders, the first for underwear which arrived with the security tags still attached. The package included a returns slip with a number to contact the Customer Service Team on 0845 605 1912 ( a discontinued number) After time spent trying other numbers and contacting my nearest store ( a 40 minute drive from my home) I was told to use a strong magnet!! My daughter eventually prised off the tags with a hammer and pliers. My second order placed on the same day was for an aluminium blind. It was delivered but it was bent. I was handed the package and pointed this out to the driver of the delivery van, who walked away and drove off!! On opening the package the blind was indeed bent and the same slip was enclosed to report any problems. I googled a contact number 0844 576 0272 and found a very pleasant and sympathetic woman who undertook to speak to the dispatch team re the removal of tags and to follow up the problems concerning the discontinued telephone number on enclosed slips. She confirmed my home address and arranged with me for the item to be collected the following day between 09.00 and 1900hrs. The package was not collected. Upon checking my emails I found one informing me that the collection van was on its way and another stating the collection request was cancelled because they were unable to collect the item. I live in Essex. They went to an address in Middlesbrough ??? I called the friendly voice again and explained what happened, she apologised and arranged for the collection to be made today. It is now after 1900hrs and no sign of a van. However, I received an email last night telling me that the Lewis Home Retail Group has given me a PARTIAL REFUND for my purchase of a useless blind. HOW KIND OF THEM TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF THE REFUND TO TAKE ACCOUNT OF THE INCONVENIENCE TO ME FOR PLACING AN ORDER. WELL DONE T J HUGHES !!!!!

Firstly, allow me to apologise on behalf of our courier for not returning the original item that was damaged in transit so we could resolve the problem before the item reached you - and for also not fulfilling our collections as we requested. I have also checked our system and I can confirm that a full refund has been authorised for the blind. i ordered a 2 seater garden bench paid for it and i was given a delivery date, that date came and no delivery took place. I spoke to Tj Hughes a new date was given for delivery, once again the bench never arrived. spoke to Tj Hughes again and another delivery date was given, once again the bench never arrived. the amount of time wasted waiting for it to arrive and on the telephone chasing the delivery was so annoying in the end i cancelled the order and requested a refund, needless to say i wont be using Tj Hughes again.

E mailed customers services with a query reference an over payment as my bank was charged twice. Nine days have passed and i had an email eventually telling me i was not overcharged. Contacted customer services put on hold then was informed that the person i need to speak to is out of the office and was promised he will email me back with information. Again no answer and still £48.90 out of pocket. Very reluctant to use TJ Hughes again. Still want my refund help!!!!!!

Went into Glasgow store and saw great offer on morphy richards 12 in1 steam cleaner. Too heavy to carry home, decided to check online. T J Hughes Was best price along with one or two others . Decided to order online with TJ and found website easy to use. Gave approximate delivery date 2/3 days, arrived next day. Excellent service.

We purchased a 12 piece patio set which looks really good and is a good price. However getting it delivered has been a nighmare. My first two orders online were cancelled by the system. The third order was manually put through by customer services but the courier smashed the table in transit. They then returned the items tp TJ Hughes but I was not informed. After waiting for this item to arrive I contacted Customer Services who explained what had happened and ordered a replacement table. When the replacement item arrived there was no sign of the rest of the set and no one seemed to know where it was. Customer Services ordered the rest of the set on express delivery for me. A week later I chased them again and it hadn't even been dispatched. When it finally did arrive some of the cushions were missing so anther call was needed to customer services! Finally after about 6 weeks I have the full set and it looks really nice. Just in time to pack it all away for the winter!
