I ordered a Kindle Paperwhite from Tobydeals. After placing the order, I looked at the feedback on this site. I resigned myself to having trouble and needing to get my money back. I was blown away! Quick response to an email query, A week after the order, I received a tracking number. I looked it up on RPX Online Packages and they showed it almost at once. Toll transport were slower to show it. The Kindle arrived today, well packed and as ordered. I would happily buy from them again.

I ordered a Dyson hairdryer for my wife's Xmas, we live in the UK. When she opened on Xmas day was devastated as the hairdryer with Aus / NZ plug and voltage non compatible with Uk. Toby deals a Customer service has been deplorable to accept a return, continually delay responses & any responsibility for sending us a Aus / Nz product. I will never order from them again or recommend. They will not raise a complaint or refer me to senior management. They are a sham. Still not received a Refund. They are not UK based despite Website name. Never use them.

They sent me a Faulty lens. They requested I make a video. Then would only accept a return if I paid for postage?! Hans tied I do so. Then once they received the lens they insisted the lens works fine. I can either pay for then to return it or they give a partial refund?! They are a bunch of crooks and I would recommend not using them. Trust pilot doesn’t allow links but i will leave my video on YouTube showing the AF motor fault.

Beware Scammers!! Tobydeals is a scam. Beware. I bought a samsung Galaxy 46mm watch from them. It started to malfunction straight away and i dropped into a Samsung store where they told me the watch is an Asian model which will not work in the UK. It has different components which are not supported on the regular updates the watch needs to continue functioning. After going backwards and forwards to customer services they have finally told me that they will not support a refund or replacement and they will not provide an address for me to send the watch back to. Apparently i need to travel to the UAE in order to update my watch so that it will work. They have now washed their hands of it and have told me that as i did not make then aware of the problem within 14 days of the order then its my problem. Disgraceful. These people are scammers. Beware. What looks lime a chap deal can end in an expensive mistake. Nick Blyth

Not based in Australia but "Toby Deals AU "gives impression that it is Australian. I bought a standard electronics product from them online because it was AUD$20 cheaper. To my dismay, I received one with a socket adapter (not mentioned on their website that the powerplug is HK type - otherwise I would never have bought it) They offer full refund but YOU pay for return postage (in most cases this is between $50-100 depending on size of product). Given that my product was a roomba for christmas, I would be paying in excess of AUD$100 to send it back to Hong Kong. AVOID this company at all costs!

WARNING NEVER USE TOBY'S DEALS YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF! I bought an expensive telephoto DSLR lens and upon receipt found it couldn't focus crisply. I paid for a professional UK based lens calibration company to calibrate front/rear focus. They couldn't as the focus required was beyond the calibration range. I received a report and sent the lens back to Toby's deals at my expense (in excess of £100 to Hong Kong) after a while they simply said the lens was OK and want me to pay for it to be returned to me with no fix, no replacement and no refund. I am now in dispute and seeking legal advice.

I had to click 1 star or else it wouldn’t let me post, it if I could give it -1000 stars I would would! Absolutely disgusted with the service from this company. I ordered a Canon 4000D on the 24th November 2018 and received an email from within 5 minutes saying that my order had been cancelled. I placed another order for the same item and then received two emails confirming both orders. I then tried to cancel one of the orders and received no reply for three days, where they said my order had already been processed and they could not cancel it. They gave me the options of refusing delivery or returning back to their Hong Kong delivery address at my own expense. After resigning myself to this fate I waited patiently for my delivery, but the UPS site never seemed to update with a delivery slot. After frequent emails to Tobydeals asking what was happening, I was told my order was caught up in customs. I again asked for them to be cancelled as they had failed to deliver the items in the agreed time, but yet again received the same email, (almost word for word, probably an automated response). Fast forward nearly a month and to my surprise I received two new emails saying that my orders had been dispatched! I immediately emailed To deals questioning how my items could possibly only just be being dispatched when I’d ordered than almost a month earlier and been told that they had already been dispatched. I received a reply that told me they had sent me replacement items as the others had got stuck at customs! By this point I was completely flumouxed, as not only had they made the mistake in the first instance I had repeatedly tried to cancel the orders only for them try to send me new ones that I didn’t even want.i’ve now Given up all hope of Tobydeals doing anything akin to the right thing and contacted my credit card company to pursue a section 75 refund under the consumer credit act, as needless to say these items will never arrive, even if I did want them. The moral to this story is, that unless you want to be ripped off by a completely dishonest, untrustworthy site (which has caused me much misery over the last month) steer clear and head over to Amazon, Currys or another trusted seller, and pay the extra few quid. I know I would’ve slept much more soundly if I had. I definitely wouldn’t recommend and will be posting this to all the review sites.

Dear Customer, Thank you for your message and we apologize for the delayed response. We regret to inform you that the courier has now closed the case and for that reason we are now unable to help you with this concern. They informed us that the parcel was indeed delivered to your address. We apologize for any inconvenience caused, however there is nothing that we can do for this case. How would you rate my reply? Quite a bad shopping experience. My courier is lost. Contact customer service and tell me that the goods have been delivered. However, I did not find anyone signing it. If someone has the same experience as me, please contact me and we should make a complaint together.

I had a really bad experienced with the service they provide. I have ordered phone from toby deals which was never delivered to me, I have opened case to claim on insurance which I have paid fully after 4 weeks of waiting they told me that parcel was delivered to my house which Is not true and that they are unable to act on it. Terrible experience as this was meant to be a present for my wife. They use Yodel delivery currier which I have been informed left the parcel in the front of my house, I ask why not to leave it on the main street next time and allow to anybody to pick/ steel your order. what is more interesting there was no card in home saying where my parcel is neither I didn't signed for it, its just after calling yodel they told me it was left in the front of my house...well congratulations to you as my parcel is lost and thank you for such a bad experience will never buy again from them.

Worst company I’ve ever dealt with. I ordered a camera from them six weeks ago and still haven’t received it. The address had the wrong postcode so was undelivered which neither they, nor the courier told me about until it was too late and the item was shipped back to Hong Kong. They have said I can’t have a refund as I’m out of my two weeks return period, even though I never received the camera. They have also said once they have received it back they will ‘try’ to resend it but do not promise they can. Since then they’ve stopped responding to my emails. This was nearly £800 I spent with them and have nothing to show for it. I’m now launching a dispute through PayPal. Diabolical. I would never use them again.

So far I’ve ordered a Garmin Forerunner 235 (saving around £50 RRP), a Xioami A2 phone and I’ve just ordered some headphones which I’m awaiting to arrive. My orders have arrived relatively quickly and well packaged with signed for delivery. I also revieved an email at each stage from packing to dispatch. I’m not sure why other people have had such bad experiences, but they have been good for me!

I ordered a set of DJI googles from a dit co dot uk website (or so i thought). it was shipped from Hong Kong and took three weeks to arrive and was passed between several couriers on the way. The price was great, about 30% less than amazon. The only difference is that the amazon goggles ARRIVE. The courier abandoned the parcels on my doorstep (i would guess/hope )and i live on a busy road with a pub opposite. The rest of this experience is down to the shoddy customer service. I paid for signed for delivery. No signature or delivery slip, so one would expect a pretty swift refund? No. I had to go to paypal and actually lost the case as apparently there was proof of delivery but, no, i cant see it! yes, i paid for the item and didn't get it. May as well have burnt the cash on the fire. Toby Deals suggested that I make a claim against their courier, which Yodel will not entertain, only they can do this. So yep feeling pretty foolish. Why are google allowing this company to rank so highly in search results? I wish oh wish i had read reviews like this before ordering.

I recently purchased a Garmin watch from this website as a Christmas present for my boyfriend. Like I’ve seen a few others say on here, I didn’t read the reviews properly first- it was one of the first websites to come up on google and I could see it had about 4* review on there so I just assumed it was legit...silly me. So, the watch arrived quite quickly (within a week I think) so no complaints here for delivery except for the fact I had to pay an extra £10 to insure it. Luckily, I decided to give the present to my boyfriend early as we wouldn’t be seeing each other again until after Christmas. When he opened the packet the product box clearly stated that it was the ‘Asia Version’ of the watch. I wasn’t aware that this would be the case but it didn’t particularly bother me and didn’t seem to bother him so he carried on to try on the watch. He put it on, turned it on and went to connect it to his phone. Within ten minutes of turning the watch on it turned itself off despite having 80% battery. We tried resetting it, plugged it into charge for half a day, followed the manual and tips on how to overcome problems, but the watch never turned back on. Contacting Toby Deals for a return is just painful and draining. The product doesn’t come with any returns form etc so you have to contact customer services directly and get a ticket and wait for a response. I informed them of the problem but they wouldn’t provide me with a returns information until I uploaded pictures and videos (into Google Drive because their website doesn’t even allow you to upload the videos that they request) to prove that the item is faulty. So obviously I just had to take a video of the watch plugged in/charging yet not turning on. I uploaded this and was eventually given the details for the return. THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED TO BE AWARE OF: (to be fair I think it does actually state this on their website, but as you don’t expect to encounter problems, you don’t always think to look). If you return a product which isn’t faulty, just unwanted, they will deduct a £20 admin fee from your return as the product has to be sent back to ASIA where their company is obviously based. If you return a faulty item, you won’t have to pay a fee but you do have to cover your own return costs- so obviously if you’re sending back something large or expensive and need guarantee delivery then you’re looking at spending around £10 just to send the item back, and I doubt they’ll reimburse you for this. If you return a faulty item they obviously check the product to ensure it is faulty. If they decide that it isn’t faulty they will charge you a pick up fee of £50 and return fee of £30. So you could lose out on £80 by returning the item. I returned mine last week and still haven’t even heard back yet to say they received it, despite the fact I can see it was delivered and signed for the next day. I’ve contacted them and just been told to wait. Obviously I know that the product is faulty, but it is still nerve wrecking sitting around waiting to see if they somehow managed to turn the watch on and are going to charge me £80 to return the thing!! So yeah, I ordered this 3 weeks ago. It took 1-2 weeks for them to give me return details, and now I’m still waiting on the return and refund details. Obviously I won’t be receiving the refund in time to order another watch before Christmas, so I’m just £200 down right now. I’ve seen some good reviews, and obviously not every product that they sell is going to be faulty, but I really wouldn’t take the risk if I were you because if you need to return your product for whatever reason you will definitely regret buying from here just to save a couple of quid.

Sent an empty box to me and refuse to investigate or refund my money. Now I'm stuck with a $900 cardboard box. Because there is a tracking number the credit card company will not proceed with a chargeback and TobyDeals is not an Australian company so there is not much I can do with calling Fair trading or ACCC. Be warned

Tobydeals. Please do your own research Well, were to start. Project, Wife’s 50th birthday gifts, so better get it right. Let’s see now. 1 They use a .co.uk to con us Brits into thinking they are a UK company, which off course, they are not, I believe they are based in China. Hong Kong 2 You know what that means, any goods purchased from them will not be covered by UK guaranties, but don’t take my word, ask the manufacturer. I did called them. 3 Products have probably had EU type electrical plugs taken off and UK ones fitted, (that’s just what I have read on the relevant reviews websites, speaking of company reviews, tobydeals are appalling) or you will get an additional adapter supplied , please consider this as could affect produce performance/longevity. Dyson produces are AU specifications. 4 Product Packaging and instructions will probably be in Chinese or another Asian language. 5 Adding insult to injury, Returning Product is a costly and drawn out process, they will charge you an administration fee and you will have the cost of post and packaging, if you do return, get the packaging right, or you will get more additional cost. 6 Online positive reviews of this company must not be trusted, as they are obviously fake, the comparison between negative and positive reviews are hugely questionable. That’s it from me, don’t use this company, unless you like getting completely ripped off. To finish, I have reported this company to www.nationaltradingstandards.uk and to Dyson ltd, who will now look into this company.
