Turo is literally horrible and thieving. One of the threadbare tires of our turo car blew on the highway headed to the airport as we left. When we got out we noticed they were so so thin with no tread that the slightest stick had caused a tire to penetrate and burst. We had to pay for tow, pay for an Uber to drive out to the middle of no where to get us, almost missed our flight, and the owner of the car accused us of off roading to cause his tire to leak?? So turo automatically charged another like $260 to our account with no warning and no way to escalate or complain. What a mess: never again.

First let me start by saying the host was great!! He was a joy to rent from. It was Turo that I have a problem with. I had rented a car from this host from March 14, 2024 until July 16th 2024. The only reason my trip was cut short was because the keep messed up and the host came and got it to fix it. Now during those 4 months I never paid more than $67.81 a day. The host texted me and let me know that I could come back and get the vehicle. So from July 16th to July 17 the price went from $67.81 a day to almost $100 a day. And when I asked customer service why did it go up, she told me that 1) it was market value but the keep is 12 years old. 2) the insurance went up and she couldn’t tell me why. 3) she said system generated but the system just started generating in a day???? I am very disappointed because I was telling people how good Turo is but if you’re gonna pay that much for a 12 year old car, you might as well go to enterprise or hertz and get a 2024. I will NEVER USE TURO AGAIN. And from March to July I have spent a lot of money. Thanks for nothing Turo. I don’t even think y’all deserve 1 star

This was my first time renting with Turo and was the worst experience I’ve had. I flew in to Memphis and had to drive to Mississippi.The Vehicle had a flat tire, so we had to have air put in tire. Then the dashboard was filled with all types of different malfunctions with the vehicle. Also, the car was filthy but I had to get to the next state right away which was only 1 1/2 hours away so I had no choice. Spoke with the Host where she asked me to get the tire fixed and would reimburse me and if I could bring the car back the next day for cleaning at any time. The next day we spoke and I told her I was on my way and she told me that was fine.. 20 minutes away she called to tell me that the shop was closing so I would have to wait the following day which was the last day I was to use the vehicle. I gave her a bad rating and she lost her mind.. calling me and texting me cursing me out and making racist remarks and disrespectful and harassing comments. Calling the police on me to bring her vehicle back. I’ve spoken to Turo each day after this where I’m being told she will be taken off the platform yet she still remains. So are they condoning this type of behavior? It is now going on a week and she still being allowed to represent this company.

I rented a very nice car for a wedding a month in advance of the pickup date. TURRO canceled my reservation 45 minutes before pickup due to my license being expired (which I didn't realize). I had uploaded my license at the time of booking and would have expected it to be flagged given the date was after my expiration. That aside, we quickly changed the reservation to my fiance, who was then charged almost 3x what the rental was originally for. Mind you, this was within minutes of receiving the notice that the reservation had been canceled just hours before the wedding. The car ended up getting a flat tire which required a flat bed tow that we waited 3 hours on the side of the road for! TURRO has not only charged ME a cancellation fee but still hasn't refunded the costs for rental that we couldn't use due to the tire. Their customer service is horrible and their charges are borderline fraudulent. It's almost like they see what they can try to get away with. It was a horrible experience and I wouldn't recommend Turro to anyone. The host himself was awesome but has no ability to help us with this nonsense from TURRO. And I'm currently out several THOUSAND DOLLARS trying to get this resolved. It's egregious!! Save yourself the headache and the money. It's just not worth it.

TURO CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT THEY CANCEL RENTALS AT LAST MINUTE OR GIVE UA CARS THAT ARE BROKEN DOWN OLD OR DONT WORK AND DONT PROVIDE COMPENSATION. WHO WANTS TO JOIN ME ON CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT

Turo is scamming both the Turo guests and hosts, go check for yourself. The host pays between 25% to 35% on fees + sales tax depending on the cover in the event of accident. And the guest pays a protection fee + sales tax + trip fee. The discounts is applied is taken from the host earnings. So here is an example. As guest: 1 day car hire at £38 Trip fee £16.98 (may very) Sales tax £5.40 Minimum protection plan £10 Total £70.38 Now the host receives the following: Car at £38 Turo fees £9.08 Sales tax £1.80 Host earned £25 Turo charged £70 guest for £25 profit to the host per 1 day. It gets worse with discounts and early Bird. Not to add there is UK taxes on the profit above.

Terrible dialing system, says you’ll be connected to an agent the. Proceeds to text you forum links. Agents connection quality is terrible and accent is heavy

Turo canceled my reservation telling me the car was too dangerous to drive. They told me they selected another, very similar to my original choice. Much to my surprise, it was basically a rent a wreck! Zero tread on the tires, interior stunk, exterior looked like someone jumped all over it. Pieces missing from the vehicle. I emailed them and they told me they closed my case and no refund. Horrible company!

Four of my last five rentals have canceled or had problems. First couple of times I used them they were great. No the renter cancels if he sees that the rates for your week have gone up. Totally leaving me to the mercy of paying last minute rates at regular rental car company. Don’t use the only review they have are after a rental. So when the five star car owners screw you over there is no way of letting anyone know what a terrible experience they supply. No more rentals

NOTE: this company may have been a deal during the pandemic, but now their prices are no better than mainstream car rentals, while their business practices and customer service are pathetic at best. With one day before my trip the host (Ilias Bennani of Portland, Maine) contacted me saying the car has been sold. We spoke on the phone and he said it was sold months ago and Turo should have let me know. If that was true, why was he contacting me the day before my trip? Anyway, I called Turo customer service, but they refused to take the financial hit it would take to find me another car at the same price. Ilias blamed Turo, Turo blamed Ilias, and I was left paying a lot more money to rent mainstream because it was last minute. Again, Turo's prices are no better than Budget, Dollar, Avis, Hertz, etc. so don't risk your money on their amateurish and unethical company or hosts.

You get what you pay for. This is definitely my experience with Turo UK. Incredibly unprofessional staff, I wasn’t even able to rent a car. You need a code so that they can validate your driving license… but the customer support team sent me a link to a page in Northern Ireland… it was them who put me in contact with the DVLA…who told me only UK driving licenses where able to go through that process… Turo knew I had a european passport… Called them back again… They had no clue… And they referred me to their technical support team… A robot of their online chat for the USA and Canada… 😠😠. Completely useless!! Never ever I will try Turo again. I’ve given them one star because they don’t allow me to give any.

I’ve been waiting weeks for Turo to give me my earnings that were directed to another person. I live alone and no one has access to my phone. No one from management will call me. Just automated emails saying I had changed my information for earnings. My bank fine and obviously done internally by Turo . So far no call back and told me to kick rocks. My only income.

Think Twice Before Renting from This Host on Turo!! Booking a vehicle through this host Adam on Turo turned out to be a regrettable decision, contrary to my expectations based on previous reviews. Upon receiving the vehicle, I encountered an immediate issue as an emergency sensor indicated low tire pressure. Despite finding no initial visible damage, I proceeded with my trip. However,the following morning I discovered the back passenger tire was completely flat. I promptly notified the host, providing documented evidence of the tire condition and sensor alert. Unfortunately, the host's response was dismissive and unhelpful,it was at this time he admitted the spare tire was not in the vehicle, but in his possession along with the Tesla charger which means l could only charge the car at a charger station, a female traveling alone with small kids Was not giving the privilege to charge the car overnight, despite the fact it was a 3 day Rental. I receive another message from the The host advisingme to inflate the damaged tire and drive back and return the vehicle as scheduled, a suggestion I declined due to safety concerns. The host's priority seemed to be retrieving the car for re-rental rather than addressing my situation. They offered no extension of my rental or reimbursement for the inconvenience caused by their negligence in maintaining the vehicle. Consequently, I had to extend my stay at the rental property and incur additional expenses to secure alternate transportation home, leaving the Tesla behind due to the host's lack of guidance on resolving the issue. Despite promises of a tow truck the car remained at the property until the following morning and the host became unresponsive. I never once made the situation hostile and I was more than patient throughout the entire situation. In conclusion, Adam reported the car stolen,forgetting l have all his messages and the messages showing love been in contact with Turo support this entire time.This has been my worst rental experience with both Turo and any vehicle provider. While l work on having this host banned from Turo, I advise potential renters to exercise caution and reconsider before choosing this host, as my ordeal highlights significant lapses in vehicle maintenance, customer service, and a flat out inconsiderate, ungrateful liar!

I wanted to rent a nice car for one day to take my daughter to her prom. Gave them all my details - name, DOB, address, licence details - and they said sorry, we can’t authorise you to rent cars. They sent out a generic email listing generic reasons for declining me, so I contacted BVRLA to see what negative records they might have on me so that I could rectify. The BVRLA responded saying they don’t have, nor ever had, any negative records for me on their RISC database and that I should contact Turo, who they pointed out are not a member of the BVRLA. I contacted Turo again to ask if they could give me a specific reason for their decline, so that I may rectify, but they just sent out the same generic email again, stating their decision was final and any further emails would not be responded. Seeing as they won’t give me a reason, I can only imagine that my name had too many vowels in it for their liking! So I rented a BMW from Thrifty in the end for the day - no problem.

I am a host and can not get paid.. turo got there money and owe me 1362.18 since June 23rd . But they got their money. Executive support had not contacted me. And it was escalated 2 weeks ago. We are about to contact a lawyer... terrible. And we have been with turo for 4 years! Terrible!!

Tried twice, first time Mustang convertible in Miami and car was wrecked and filthy... Second time tried a Tesla in Tampa and had a HORRIBLE PUKE SMELL, BAD VIBRATION AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, and had almost no charge... Turo doesn't care and won't help. Never use this company!
