Worst experience I had with Turo being a host.., never post your car in Turo if you really care your car and also they not gonna support in terms of reimbursement nor claims they just a money ***** company who cares only charging for the trips neither on post trips supports..! The following attachement shows the responsibility of TURO to their host..! So the client has not returned the car when I asked the client didn’t respond she neither returned nor extended and see the response I got from TURO.. be aware of this fraudulent platform..!

Without a shadow of a doubt the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have worked in customer service for many years to the extent where I have run my own company. I would quite simply not use these people, they are simply appalling to deal with.

I had the worst experience using Turo. The app allows hosts to ask for positive reviews in exchange for discounts, which is unethical and misleading. After my trip, the host requested a 5-star review in exchange for a future discount. This behavior is not only dishonest but also against fair review practices. Additionally, I was charged $500 for a pre-existing scratch on a 2012 Chrysler, which is outrageous. The car was already full of scratches and not in the condition shown in the listing. Furthermore, the fuel policy is unfair. I was charged $50 for a full tank even though I returned the car with 1/4 tank, having received it with 3/4 tank. The vehicle was also not as described. The license plate was different, the color was slightly off, and the car was dirty upon pickup. There was no lockbox for the key as claimed by the host; instead, I had to leave the key on top of the back wheel in a public area, making it insecure. To make matters worse, Turo suppressed my honest review because it was written after a complaint was reported. This kind of censorship is unacceptable and undermines the transparency of the platform. Turo seems to prioritize hosts over customers, making it clear they do not care about the user experience or customer satisfaction.

I'm giving 1 star because I'm feeling generous. Other than the last time I used Turo, the owners are generally good. But God forbid you need anything from the company. They make it easy to beat you to death with fees, but if you need a person on the other line, forget about it. First, they can't even get an 800 number. Not that difficult. Second, as most businesses these days, when you do get a person, they have no clue how to help you and when they do, you can't even understand them. Because my account was "under review" but they refused to tell me why, I was unable to use Turo for a trip. That being said, I have deleted them and will be going back to the more reliable car rental agencies. They fee you to death as well, but at least I can get things done with them. Adios Turo.

My host Jamal (Greensboro, NC Red Ford Focus 2017) had the pickup location on Market Street the worst ever. I picked up the vehicle on the 21st, he had apparently rented on the 20th but did not inspect the vehicle. I returned the vehicle safe on the 24th without any scratches etc. that were not already present prior to renting. On the 25th at 5 pm Jamal decides to file a claim stating I damaged the car in multiple spots. Once Turo has a claim you are screwed and he knows this! The images he shared on the 20th showed the same damages he claimed occurred on my trip. I disputed the claim so he decides to harass me via text messages. Jamal has no idea how legally savvy I am and the connections I have. DO NOT RENT FROM JAMAL HE IS A SCAM!!!!!!!! There should be a Zero star option

I returned my car to the renter and he accepted the vehicle after visual inspection. After three weeks passed he is claiming that there were some scratches and I am responsible and claiming $605 in damage. Turo is threatening to report me to collections for this scam. I will never use Turo as it left a bad taste in my mouth. I explained it all in an email but no one cares.

Watch out for extra charges, when you book the give you one price and after you click they jack the price , I book a car for 41 and when I click except the charges the price jack to 69 , I go back and the price change again , on top of that they add trip fee , booking fee, insurance , so from 82 dollars for two days when to 169 dollars per two days

Turo seemed like a great company to work with at first. Then I get an invoice with toll fees that I never accrued. The tolls were accrued in 2 other states that I didn't go to with the vehicle. When speaking with the customer service representative, she was rude and disrespectful l. Extremely unapologetic.

Horrible experience!!! NEVER AGAIN! My Fiance booked a white mustang near the LAX airport the host name is Erika M so beware! The first time the car died on us we were supposed to be going to the early access to universal studios so we didn’t make it on time since we had to wait to get our car jumped. Last night the car died again for the second time, we were SD visiting our good friends and we called a towed and that cost a $150 for a jump. Then when we made it to LA we needed to get gas and then for the third time it died when we turned it off to but gas and got another tow truck to help us jump the car. This whole entire trip has been horrible because, and the host was not even compromising with a request with a fair reimbursement! We spent more money and time then we shouldn’t have!!!

Just Don't! This was one of the most miserable, horrible customer service experiences I have had. I booked a car with months of anticipation. The host cancelled one month before the rental. Turo did not want to honor the price in the agreement, since prices went up. I could not use another company as the price was double. It has taken me weeks to finally get them to honor it, after hours of work and requesting dispute mediation. Horrible company, horrible service. The price is right which drew me in, but never again.

Turo took $750 out of my bank account and didn’t book my car. I tried to resolve the issue with a lady and she was completely rude!!! She said I wouldn’t receive my money in the next 3 to 5 business days which completely ruined me and my families trip that we’ve been planning for MONTHS!! She hung up in my face.

Whatever you do, you don’t want to rent from Chunjie And his white Sienna van. I called him 30 days before the actual rental date to confirm that he would deliver the van to my home. I waited at my home and apparently he had tried to get in touch with me through text message instead of calling me directly, all of a sudden, he doesn’t show up. He says that he was trying to get in touch with me to tell me that he could no longer deliver the van to my home. That’s what cell phones are for direct communication with the customer so that’s an excuse right there! Meanwhile, my Guests are waiting at the airport after arriving at 5:30 AM no-show, no excuses and no help while my guests have been at the airport for two long hours and it’s 7:30 now! The van was supposed to be delivered to me at 6:30 AM. This is the kind of horrible experience that you don’t want to experience if you’re going to rent from CHUNJIE! It’s a good thing my son came to the rescue and grabbed their suitcases, put them in an Uber, which is obviously more trustworthy than TURO and got them to the hotel after they were completely exhausted waiting around for a ride that NEVER happened! This is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! Their customer service SUCKS because Caren Never got back to me with any message from CHUNJIE! Do you really want to deal with a business who doesn’t care about their customers? I’ll leave it up to you if you want to rent from someone who can barely speak English and has ZERO communication skills! If I were you, I’d take an UBER or a LYFT to make sure there are NO SURPRISES to ruin your vacation!

The car i rented had extremely damaged breaks pads. Turo took a week to replied to my emails and accused me of the damage. I had to get the breaks fixed myself. Couldn't use the car for 3 days and absolutely no support from Turo team. Now they dropped the claim. So frustrating ! :(

All they card about is money. Once they have yours they are done with you. The van we rented had no ac, the owner told us that it went bad on his last rental and didn't have time to repair it. The owner offered to waive a cleaning fee on the vehicle in place of the ac. We called turo and no response. Very disappointed, we won't make this mistake again

Turo continues to take advantage of its customers. Charging almost $200 more on top of the fees already for a little sand. Turo was a great company at first to rent from, but I will no longer be using Turo or recommending to to others. Turo takes days to reply to emails/requests and charged my card without my consent. STAY AWAY! Two years ago should have been a wake up call. Two years ago the host cancelled my rental and Turo did not notify me. After I landed I couldn't find the car. I contacted the host and he said he had told Turo to notify me that the car wasn't running and to cancel the reservation. Since we needed a car still we used an Uber which cost another $100 to get us to the condo. I was able to book another car with a different host then next day. Turo didn't care about the added cost and didn't respond to a request for a refund of the added cost. Turo is horrible in my opinion. This is coming from someone who has rented from Turo for the last 8 years. I will not continue renting with Turo anymore. Costs have also increased over the years and any added fees are quadruple of what they used to be. Turo is no longer worth it.

Renters beware! When the host cancels your rental 2 hours before pickup time, it basically ruins your trip. It's all within the rules too. $50 charge for the host unless they're an all star, in which case no charge. With the reduced traffic, Turo let's just about anyone be an all star, so you can see where that's going. Good luck, but if you're trip hinges on the rental, I'd recommend skipping Turo so you're not left out in the cold (or heat).

BEWARE! Turo sounds like a good concept but there are no back up vehicles if yours breaks down. Host, William Burch, was terrible. If he answered me it took hours. The worse was when he informed me the day before my trip that my car had no air conditioning! He was waiting on parts from out of the U.S. He could've gone to the local Fiat dealer and purchased the parts.

I think this company is good for renters but as a host the company does not care about us. If you do not follow the fine print process every single time turo will not cover incidents that occur with renters. I have had a person smoke in my car, Turo denied charging them. I had turo roadside assistance scrape my car and pop my door off the top hinge when a renter drained the battery, Turo has yet to cover that and even explained they couldn’t find the roadside assistance report. A guest didn’t fill up gas and because I hadn’t taken a photo of the gas gauge before the trip (I didn’t realize this was needed), turo denied to charge the renter. Don’t even get me started on them requiring everyone to use instabook. I really think overall the hassle and lack of care from the company is not worth making a bit of extra money with your car. I also have become more and more worried that turo will not cover a major incidence considering how quick they are to use every possible angle to get out of paying hosts for incidents that drivers create.
