Like other people have said. DO NOT BUY FROM VANS DIRECT. I bought a van from Vans direct and I have had nothing but trouble with it. It was delivered with a scratch and dodgy paint work. Also the alarm kept and is still going off after 6 months. They denied I sent them pictures of the scratches and have been completely useless in helping with the alarm. I believe, this was an issue with the van before it was delivered. They have no clout with the dealers what so ever.

Do not buy a van from this company, utter shambles, they delivered a vivaro with a cracked windscreen, covered it up with a sticker, the van broke down in a week, still not got it back from vauxhall dealership, customer service is shocking, avoid at all cost.

Not able to contact anyone by phone on any number supplied. Usually a bad sign of the companies stability?

Hi there, we have been having technical difficulties with our phone lines this morning but it's now sorted and you should be able to reach us. Thanks

Van is rubbish. Bits blown in on paintwork. Satnav don’t work. Plastic bits broken. Arrived dirty from docks. Third gear crunches everytime you select it, can’t get reverse with out putting it into 1st gear first. As soon as van was washed could see where patches had been sprayed. I suppose thats what you get for £15000. Not good for a new van. These vans should be sold as B Grade. After delivery was taken no one from Vans Direct telephoned me to see if all was ok or not. Not great.

Hi Mr Wilson We have tried to contact you in order to discuss the problems you having been having. We do not seem to have any record of you reporting any problems. Please give us a call or email us so that we can look into this for you. Thanks The Vansdirect team

No stars if I could , rubbish company and don’t tell you that you will be the 2nd owner on the log book and they don’t even send you the log book , never deal with these again and I advise anyone else not to , yes it does say you may not be the 1st owner on the logbook on the agreement but you would think that was for lease/ purchase not normal finance , very misleading and not a nice buying experience at all , customer service rubbish and have a very bad attitude, STAY CLEAR OF THEM

Don’t use these people.. They are destroying our business. They have over fifteen thousand pounds of our money and we still have no van. They keep apologising for delay, over 5 weeks now, and still no van, although we were promised it would take 10 days. The sales people lie all the time, they just want your money and the customer service are no better. Avoid at all cost.

Worst ever company, selling pre registered vans as new vans without telling this to customers. Avoid at all costs.

We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied. A small percentage of our vehicles are pre-registered and are heavily discounted to reflect this. We ensure that this is stated on our New Vehicle order confirmation, under the heading of ‘Important Information’ which we ask all customers to read thoroughly before signing and returning to us. We have tried to contact you and will continue to do so to discuss this further. Thanks, the Vansdirect team.

Van supplied on time. However, six months down the line, the van had a puncture and when calling out Green Flag we discovered the wrong locking wheel nut key had been supplied. This meant the tyre could not be changed at the roadside and had to be recovered to a garage, where the wheel locking nut had to be removed with specialist tools. The result being the van was off the road for two working days, we had the expense of the garage and downtime. Spoke to Vans Direct who have denied all responsibility and said we should have spoken to the dealership who supplied the vehicle. We pointed out the vehicle was supplied by Vans Direct but they are not interested in contributing towards the cost we have incurred. We have bought a few vans from Vans Direct before but rest assured we will not buy from them again. Like dealing with a used car sales lot.

Hi Fiona, we are disappointed to learn that you did not use the manufacturer's appointed breakdown provider who would have been able to assist with locking wheel nut issues. We appreciate that you have incurred costs - we suggest that you contact Green Flag in relation to this. Thank you

Everything! They keep the V5 so you can't sell it easily and you won't get it for a year! The small print says the vans can be pre-registered mine turned up late from a muddy airfield with manufacturers stickers all over it! As for the finance don't try and settle early you will be charged for the full term including interest less a small discount (2%) They don't mention this important detail, but it's hidden in the small print. There is something very suspicious of the way they arrange finance and sell it, mine for HP via BNP Paribas - for which I've no doubt they get a commission. I believe their credit licence should be revoked and I am making such representations to the relevant authorities.

What went right?? Nightmare company. Would NEVER recommend them to ANYONE. Ripped off beyond belief. Thought we were leasing a vehicle only to find that we are now buying it at an inflated cost. Put down a £500 deposit being told we'd get it back only to find that we wouldn't. Was told it was a 4 week turnaround, but it took three months. Staff couldn't care less - they're only interested in getting money in. If you own a business STEER WELL CLEAR OF THESE PEOPLE. And just to add insult to injury, they're now taking their money out of the wrong bank account!

Where should I start. I was not advised about the set up fee of £240 for the finance. It was then taken from my bank twice and I had to wait a week for it to be refunded. I was told the balance was due the day before the van was delivered which again was not true and incorrect information. The van arrived with No Sat Nav which again I had to wait for it to be delivered. This took nearly 2 weeks. For all of these problems I have not recieved an apology let alone any compensation. I have zero confidence in yourselves and I won't be purchasing my next van through your company. Please remove me from your mailing list and sms service.

Purchased 3 vans, Got speeding summons whilst negotiating deal for van that I wasn't even buying!! They claimed clerical error! One van turned up damaged (later depaired but should have been replaced), one with bit missing, two very dirty. Was told initially all vans were brand new, and I'd be first owner, to extent they were applying for registration numbers from Cardiff. turns out ALL vans are pre-registered, few months earlier.......Wish I'd purchased elsewhere. Was told I was going to get compensation for all grief. Just got letter saying they don't do compensation. Just purchased further vehicles elsewhere - got NO problems from new source.

Initial sales service very good and seemed trustworthy. Ordered a van on 18th March with 'van on ship' and was assured to be delivered within weeks. A week before delivery due I checked status and was told van 'not actually on ship' and due in June. 2 months late. Paid full balance 10th June. Van arrived on 13th June. No V5. Inquired into status of V5 and told we don't need it by Vans Direct and wouldn't receive it for a year. Extensive discussions with DVLA about tax and ownership and advised that the seller has a duty to pass on the V5 and the owner has to have it in order to tax the vehicle. There are also implications with insurance and traffic offenses. Still no cooperation from Vans Direct. Eventually had to apply for a new V5 at our own cost before driving the vehicle and was never given a satisfactory explanation, apology or any compensation from Vans Direct. The guess is that the Vans Direct business model involves lease vehicles with V5 constraints to stop undercutting dealerships. However this was not verified and at no point in the sale were we advised that we would not become the registered keeper of the vehicle for a year. In the sales document there is a mention of the V5 being withheld 'for a period of time' but this appears to be deliberately misleading. It is not recommended to deal with this supplier.

When dealing with the salesman Daniel Kuck we really wanted a Citroen Dispatch with the Enterprise upgrade. Daniel said none in stock but the Peugeot Expert with the Professional upgrade was the same spec. We agreed to the sale even though it was more money, sadly the main extra we wanted [the reversing sensors] which are on our other vans i.e. Citroen Relay / Dispatch were not part of the upgrade on the Peugeot Expert. l have purchased other vans from you in the past and did contact you to complain but sadly no feedback so shall go elsewhere in future and tell others of my experience.

I was lied to from the start by the sales person, who stated that the upfront payment that was taken (3 months initial rental equivalent) at application stage was actually the initial rental and subsequent rentals would start a month after vehicle being delivered. I found this out later not to be the case. I found your customer service staff unprofessional and unhelpful and at most times did not have answers to questions I asked. A particular staff member in customer service (Louise, I think) tried her hardest to avoid my calls at one stage and insisted other members of staff dealt with my query. The total dismay of any kind of compliance and customer service led me to loose "my rag" ... Not to mention the mis representation of the transaction that was taken by Matthew to secure the deal ... Very shocking .. will certainly not be using Vans direct in the future, even if it costs me more!! Money is something but not everything .. service with a smile goes a long way!!
