Airlift model 7 months old. Bought in Argos with extra cover. Smelt of burning. Argos won't replace if less than 12 months old. Asked to return to vax. Item came back to me from vax 'nothing wrong with it' then it blew up, sparked and turned off house power. Vax again sending label but lost in post. Plus find your own box to return in. Ask the supermarket for a box big enough for a vacuum I was told. Haven't vacuumed house for 2 weeks already šŸ¤® very unhappy!!!

I bought a Vax Blade 2 max in December 2019. At Ā£199 it was not cheap. After 16 months of very light use (2 bedroom carpets vacuumed once a week and all hair etc removed from the brush after every use) it has broken! A lot of noise and a burning smell came from the floorhead, then lots of tiny ball bearings fell out of it. On opening it up it is clearly engineered very poorly, so poorly in fact that I would suggest it is designed to fail prematurely. So I contact Vax to claim on my 3 year warranty, only to be told that ā€œfunctional parts that suffer premature failure after 12 months are not coveredā€ but I can buy a new head for just Ā£24.99. Needless to say I will never in my life buy another Vax product and its back to Dyson for me.

Rang about Vax blade 2 40v told that the warranty only covered the motor so the failing battery , faulty motor suction brush and broken dust door were out of warranty after 16 months. Very unhelpful and disappointing

I bought a cordless vax vacuum a bit less than a year ago. It still has power when on, but as soon as I turn it off, all the dust comes back down on the floor! I spoke to customer service, they looked at it and sent it back saying it is sucking fine, which is not the point really, as described above. I wrote to them again to explain, they are just ignoring me now. Not worth the money at all, and poor customer service.

Bought a 32V Blade Vacuum in May 2018. By April 2020 the brushbar failed. But the Warranty is only 12 months. So had to buy a replacement brushbar (not cheap!). Less than 10 months later that has failed as well. Now I and told that the Warranty on replacement parts is only 6 months! So I am expected to buy yet ANOTHER brush bar. There are no bags to buy with this machine, but brushbars seem to be treated as consumables! Also the extension tube clip is also broken. The build quality is shocking, the warranty laughable and the Customer Service non-existent. AVOID

Wishing I had read these reviews about customer service before buying a Vax cleaner. Struggled with battery for a while, it never really lasted the length of time for cleaning, stated in the info. Battery has now died and no one answers e-mails or calls. Even got cut off during a call. Guessing an expensive battery will now not be replaced by this company. Poor service, useless carpet cleaner. From reading the reviews I feel some kind of regulator needs to look at this Company. RIP off.

I would give them-5 stars if I could. Bought a platinum power max which is now only 4 months old the spin bar stopped working 5 weeks of having it the belt was smoking and then snapped. Had it fixed by vax issue was not down to maintenance so no charge of Ā£40 it has broken again after 3 weeks of having it and I've asked for a full refund as the product tends to break not fit for sale or dodgy batch maybe but the poor level of customer service was horrendous

Bought less than 6 months ago but over the last few weeks had started to notice that the battery life was less than it should be I have a one bedroom flat and the Vax was capable of doing the whole flat including stairwell before needing a recharge, but now the battery needs to be recharged after only doing the front room. A full charge shows 4 bars but when going to use it it is only showing 3 bars or less, Vax insist it is not a problem with the battery and are saying the whole machine needs to be returned for repair God this is less than 6 months old snd already it has a fault. I and my wife are both shielding due to our health and the governments lockdown and we do not have the original packaging to return the machine and cannot go out and get any packaging As this is a battery problem why can they not send a replacement battery and collect the faulty one at the same time

Absolute disgrace of a company. Sell a machine with a 3 year warranty. Machine died after a year and 6 months and they will not honour. Absolute junk of a vacuum cleaner anyhow. Then they had the front to try and sell me another cleaner! I used to rate VAX. I dont any more.

Bought a VAX onepwr floor cleaner earlier this year. The filter blocks quickly and although they suggest you replace them every year you cannot buy them direct from VAX. Next problem was the spindle jammed and will not turn the brush bar. After a week VAX suggest I return item they will send instructions. Have to box the machine yourself, then phone UPS to arrange a pick up time. Wait time on the 0345 number to UPS is approx 15 minutes and thatā€™s after spending 5 minutes getting to that point. For the price of the item get a mop and bucket, far easier and cheaper and a lot less hassle

So let me begin with what has been an absolute saga! I order the platinum carpet cleaner and free steam cleaner on November 10th, I was sent a confirmation email from Vax and noted my full address was correct but there was a random post code beginning with BB. I contacted your web support 10 mins after placing the order to be told there was nothing that could be done and I had to contact Yodel myself! I contacted Yodel who were absolutely no help at all. ....... Then I receive a tracking number from yourselves stating the product would be delivered to my address on the 12th November..... I clicked the Yodel link which showed it had been dispatched to my local store which was in Accrington!!! I contacted Yodel again to be told they couldnā€™t help me and i would have to contact the sender, the parcel was signed for at the Accrington adress on the 12th (signed for a parcel which was not addressed to them and was not in their name) So i spoke to a vax support agent called Neal on the phone after a 30 minute wait on hold! He easily updated the post code and assured me that my paid for products of Ā£300 would be posted out to me and they would deal with the delivery error. So on the 16th i receive an email from Yodel stating that my parcel would be delivered on the 16th between 14:00 and 15:00, so i ask my mum to go to my house to wait for the parcel as i was at work, i received an email from Yodel at 15:18 stating my parcel had been delivered........ Low and behold this time delivered to a property in Birmingham šŸ˜‚, so i get back from work and go through the rigmarole of contacting Yodel and yourselves via web chat to be told i would have to be put into the ā€œCourier disputeā€ queue and would get an answer tomorrow! Today i get an email from yourselves stating my parcel would be replaced in the next 5 days! ā€œREPLACEDā€ it would be nice if i had one to replace!!!!!! Then i get another email stating it is being processed and a tracking number will be provided soon.......... With baited breath i wait to see where the next delivery location is........ You havenā€™t sent it to Scotland yet have you Iā€™m sure they would love a new vax free of charge! So just to be clear i live in DERBYSHIRE, so whenever you feel like sending me what i have paid for that would be fab šŸ˜

Bought an upright Vax Air Pet Max. The cord is too long and a trip hazard. When using it, it feels like itā€™s sucking the life out of your carpet when in actual fact it wonā€™t even pick up average bits of fluff or hair balls. I had to go round afterwards and pick it all up by hand. Absolute waste of money.

My partner purchased a Vax Blade in June 2019 from their Outlet store on eBay. All seemed well until this machine started making strange noises from the motor. Vax told me that despite it being an eBay outlet purchase, it still had a two-year warranty. The machine was returned and the warranty claim refused because there is dust in the motor! They stated a small piece of foam somewhere in the machine was missing and this missing foam caused the damage! I questioned the integrity of the machine as it is sold at an outlet rather than the retailer and it seems incredible that a small piece of foam is the only protection of the Vax Blade motor. Vax have refused to repair or replace the machine and are sending it back. I cannot recommend Vax and as for the outlet store that sells it far cheaper than a retailer but offers a two-year warranty, Vax failed to honour the warranty and blamed the machine failure on me because the vacuum cleaner was damaged due to dust! I was also blamed for a missing piece of foam that I was unaware even existed. To buy a Vax, it is clear you have to be highly qualified in electric motor protection and be aware of all filters (however many there are and however small they are). If you have no prior knowledge of the filters that should be there but they are not and something goes wrong, they will get out of replacing or repairing the machine. Truly appalling service.

The battery no longer charging so complained, can I give them details of machine so having sending copies of sale, warranty number, order number all photos of everything on the machine related to mode, serial numbers they keep coming back asking for it all again over and over why canā€™t they just replace battery or refund money
