I am behind in paying my account. It has gone to the arrears dept. I send the relevant forms to them they send to me to fill in and send back but each time they say they havn"t received them. I have a support worker helping me to deal with it because I suffer with depression. He has sent things to them which they say that they havn"t received. I filled in a budget sheet with my support worker and sent it to Very. Again they said they hadn't received it. That was in a phone call they made to me at 9pm at night. I had only just come home from hospital because I rang someone to say I wanted to die. And the police was called. My support worker rang them and gave them the details of my budget sheet over the phone. Very turned around and said that I spent too much money on food. So I should cut down on food in order to pay them more than the ten pounds a month that I am currently paying. I'm furious. I am dibeticI am on insulin. I have to eat. And I can't buy junk food because of having to watch my sugar intake.

Placed a large order for furniture for living room and bedroom on 27th August 2016. Most items were in stock, given the option to choose preferred delivery date for available items. Since I wasn't moved to the property I selected 17th of September and the couple of items which weren't in stock were selected for 5th October delivery. On 17th September, out of all items I just got one tiny item delivered. Though under my account it kept showing delivery on 17th. There was no indication that there is something wrong with delivery. After delivery of just one item went online to chat with customer support, very unprofessional and unfriendly adviser told me that delivery could be on it's way, it can be as late as 9pm in the night. Spend whole day waiting nothing!! Next day spoke to customer service, they hadn't got a clue what happened. Second call same day, they start blaming the ArrowXL courier company they use for delivery, that they are the responsible for the delay. like I have hired the company. Appalling and pathetic excuse. Upon further chasing, next day I was told order has been cancelled by ArrowXL because they have damaged the parcel... wonder how come delivery company can cancel the order. I was told to place a new order, but now I have to wait because items I want aren't in stock anymore and it might take couple of months before they restock them. So that's the shortest way I can put my terrible experience together. After TERRIBLE experience with B&Q couple of years ago I thought it can't get any worse than that...VERY.co.uk proved me totally wrong. now B&Q seems like child's innocent mistake. I end up cancelling everything from Very, and went ahead with Cotswold Furniture, they are expensive but learnt my lesson, quality comes with the price. You pay peanuts, you get Very.co.uk!! So far experience with Cotswold has been great. Did not receive my items but it still on schedule. My advise to anyone who is planning to buy furniture from Very.co.uk. PLEASE DON'T. It's not worth the hassle, go for more trustworthy names out there. Unless you are ready to pull your hairs daily for a week!!!

Ordered an iPad in their 'computing event'. iPad arrived but had crushed outer packaging due to it being sent in little more than a plastic bag. With the cellophane and security tag still in situ I phoned to arrange return. I was offered a 10% discount if I kept the iPad but this meant the purchase price would be less than the £450 minimum spend criteria to get the £100 'computing event' incentive credit. Very said I would still get the £100 credit but when I asked them to confirm this in an email they then said no I wouldnt get the £100 and because I had agreed to a discount on a damaged item I had waived my rights. Utter nonsense but they didnt care. I nevertheless photographed the iPad showing the cellophane and security was still in situ then posted it back to them followed up by several emails showing the wrapping etc hadnt been removed and under Consumer Rights Act either give me a full refund or I would refer this to small claims. Reluctantly they refunded in full but no apology. Despite my balance being zero they then did everything possible to avoid closing my account as I had repeatedly asked. When you call Ive no idea where their call centre is but advisors limited English makes it frustrating and difficult. I went elsewhere and wont ever go back.

Ordered a tv in may and received a email after to have a date of delivery on the Friday of the week (2 days), delivery was between 3:15 and 5:15 as I was at work before, received a call from the delivery driver (XL) at 12:30 to say he has finished his round and could come early, I said I couldn't do earlier due to being at work and will be home at 3, he huffed and said fine, called the driver on the way home and it went straight to his voicemail, so I left him one to say I'll be home in 5 minutes. After a hours wait I received a text at 4 to say unable to deliver, I called the delivery company and expressed it was a birthday present and I need it by today which they told me they couldn't do and they do not deliver over the weekend round my postcode. I told them I want compensation as it wasn't my fault the driver finished early. They told me I had to call very. I called very they told me that it wasn't my fault and I could have 20% back off the price which I was happy to accept....nothing come back into my account. Called them again and was told that the customer service team wasn't allowed to authorise 20% only 10% so they had to listen to my calls to prove this. They did do and said it would be in my account in 7/14 days. Checked and nothing was there. Every time I called after that I either had the phone hung up on me or people would just say there's no notes and that they had to listen to the calls and once confirmed it would be in my account in 7/14 days, finally got my money in August.....but wasn't into my account that I was promised it was into my very account....I did not want that because after all that I wouldn't be spending any more money with them....finally received my money 2 days ago back to my card only taken 5 months for £97 to be given to me. The worst service I have ever had, most untrustworthy and unreliable company I have ever used and all they do is lie to you. I will never deal with this company again.

Very started off OK but they're customer services and packaging/returns team have just got worse and worse! I get sent wrong items then it takes weeks of emails/phone calls to get a refund for them. I've also returned orders and they haven't refunded me for one of the items, saying they never received it in the package. This has happened twice in the past 4/5 months. They won't refund me on the most recent one because I've 'claimed for this reason previously'. Basically accusing me of stealing these items! Of course it wouldn't be their useless team not doing their jobs properly! Joke of a company :'D Hopefully this review will stop at least one person from using them!

???????????????? this company is a total joke. I got charge £117 interest for a late payment fee. I was waiting for a statement i had requested when i pay the delivery charge that i also had to pay interest on as i had no idea the delivery charge was separate from the overall cost. Any contact with these people is a waste of time, they do not help you . Trading standards is my next call.

Spent £300 on a mattress from you and I've got to say I love the mattress. The customer service I received however from your call centre was appalling...the fact I was never told that despite me paying £29 for you to take my old mattress away you would only do so if it was inside a bag, again I was never told this. A bag was never sent to me. I spoke with your customer services twice regarding delivery and never got told this. I never got an email stating this either. If it wasn't for the lovely delivery drivers who you hire at Arrow XL deliveries being so understanding and helpful I would have had to turn down the delivery all together. I spoke with someone in your customer services who was not only rude but unhelpful too! I was told they would send someone to collect it in 48 hours.... I live in a small two bedroom flat, where am I going to store a king-size mattress for 48 hours?!?! I think it's discusting that after speaking with the drivers that this happens all the time as they aren't provided with bags on the wagons and the customers are never sent them...meaning customers pay for removal and they are then refused this service on the day agreed and then have to store such a massive item. This is very very disappointing to say the least when spending so much and paying for removal too! You need to sort this system out because if it wasn't for the delivery men I would've refused delivery and it would've cost you not only a sale but a customer.

I tried to order a children's slide from your website on 5.9.16. For some reason your website would not allow me to order this. So I phoned your customer services and spoke to Bongi. I explained the problem and she was very happy to help me. When I passed my bank details on to Bongi, I asked when my slide will be delivered to me. She was very confused as to what slide. Bongi didn't actually order anything for me, but took £49.99 out of my bank. I requested a refund and asked for a confirmation email to say my money will be back in my bank. Bongi informed me the refund will take 4-10 working days. I still hasn't received the email, so I phoned again and spoke to Carl on 6.9.16. I explained the problem, again, and said I want a confirmation email for my refund. Carl, same as bongi said he will send me an email and apologised for any inconvenience. Carl also told me the refund will take 4-10 working days. I, again, still haven't received an email, so I phone yet again, and spoke to Carol on 8.9.16. I asked to speak to a supervisor or someone higher up, so I can get this resolved. I wasn't able to talk to anyone. Carol then informed me that the very company do not issue out any emails. I requested a letter, to tell me the refund will be in my bank in 4-10 working days. Carol then informed me that the refunds take 10-14 working days. I am so frustrated by this whole process. I had money taken out of my bank, and no slide. I was given all the wrong information, and I wasn't able to talk to anyone higher up. I am disgusted with how the customer service team is ran. So I would like you to email me back with regards to me refund please. I am a very unsatisfied customer.

Had charges on my account for goods/interest that should not have been there. Customer services said account was not interest bearing & I had fees to pay. I disputed & heard the customer service advisor tell her colleague I was a cow. Asked to speak to manager to then be magically told not free but I was right the charges were incorrect & the manager would call me back. No call back, placed comment on Facebook & was told not acceptable but still nothing back. Awful & I won't ever be ordering from an organisation who can charge you over £55 for goods/interest that shouldn't be charged & think it's acceptable to lie about why the charges happened & call me a cow for arguing my point.

Absolutely appalling customer service. Would not recommend anybody signs up for an account with Very. Ordered a few items that I definitely paid of monthly to be then told my account was in arrears because I had missed payment (which I didn't) I then rang up to query this and was told that it was a mistake on there side and I was in false arrears and the arrears amount will be cleared within 24 hours. This wasn't cleared and received letters, text messages and emails demanding I make a payment. Called up again to question as to why I was told this was but cleared and hadn't. Basically this has been going on from May and the arrears still hasn't been cleared after being told from atleast 4 different very staff that this was definitely in false arrears and wasnt a mistake I had made. Resulted in me putting a complaint in and sending a letter to Very to explain how disgusted I am in there customer Service. Seriously never known anything like it! Always get told that you will get a call back and never do but there so quick to ring you when there chasing you for money. Absolute joke. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT SIGN UP FOR A VERY ACCOUNT!!!
