At the end of my eye test in a small unventilated room at the at Sidmouth branch, I was shocked when the optician told me that she had chosen not to be vaccinated against covid. There are many elderly people in Sidmouth, some of whom may not have been able to be vaccinated for various reasons. It is massively irresponsible for the optician not to advise customers, before their appointment, that she is an anti-vaxxer so that they can make the decision whether to attend or not.

Had an eye test 5 years ago and was told I had cataracts and might want to think about surgery in 2/3 years time. Had another eye test 3 years later as my sight had deteriorated quite significantly and I was very concerned. Told the optician I wanted to be referred. Before even testing my eyes I was given a lecture on the dangers of having surgery. I was told after the test there was no sign of cataracts and that I needed much stronger glasses and should wear varifocals. I said I wasnt happy but the optician was pushy and so I thought well she knows best and bought them, although walked away feeling she was more of a sales person than optician! Several months later and eyesight still deteriorating I paid to see a consultant who informed me upon examination that I have ‘significant cataracts’!! I’m now awaiting surgery. I’m also awaiting a refund from Vision Express!

Fantastic service from the Burnley store in Tesco . From the 1st phone call to book in Elaine gave me outstanding customer service, getting eyes tested to go in to collect my 2 new pair of glasses Elaine was extremely helpful but was interacting with me as Customer not a number , we had a good old chat very friendly lady as well Mel who serviced me my last pair of glasses , very friendly , Flowers and card for Elaine ,thank you so much ,should be more staff in shops like Elaine and Mel , 😁

Yesterday my husband and I visited Vision Express, Cribbs Causeway for our annual checks. We could not be more satisfied in the way we were treated and the service that we received. Most highly recommended.

Outstanding service from the team at Bexhill branch. Following recent surgery I wasn’t feeling too great but they looked after me so well. The optician was thorough and reassuring. My prescription hadn’t changed and the optician kindly cleaned and repaired my existing frames. I didn’t feel under pressure to buy new glasses. I will return.

All they wanted to do was to sell me glasses. I felt they were happy that I have cataracts and my prescription kept changing, more money for new glasses. Would not put me on the list for surgery as it was not considered bad enough. I have since had surgery privately and was told my cataracts were really bad. Optometrist was really rude to me so I shall not be going back to Axminster, I am free.

Hastings East Sussex branch. Within hours of my eye test both eyes bloodshot and swollen. Phoned the branch to explain ,but no interest at all. Requested the PD which was not on the prescription as unable to leave the house, I wished on this occasion to order a pair of glasses on the internet. This was refused. Head office contacted them and also refused.

I recently had an eye test ( very efficient young man ). I have to say that from start to finish the service could not have been better. the waiting time for new glasses was very short indeed and the price very reasonable. would not hesitate to use the service in future thanks a lot team.

Recently I went to pay for 2 new frames chosen. Chris, a new employee in the York branch served. He checked for fitting, explained about the anti-reflection needed for some glasses & how to reduce the look of a thicker lens. Highly informative & able to answer all my questions..also the load down on the pricing. He told me even though he’s just started he is really happy to be part of the team & really enjoys working for the manageress, Judith ? Took time & care.

Bishop auckland branch can’t get through on phone rang customer services they finally got me through but don’t appear to have any urgency to sort problems my niece tried 16 times last week I tried for 40 minutes no one answered

Always recieve a first class service here from start to finish. Optician was very thorough and sales staff were great at helping me find what I was looking for. Great customer care, you might pay a little bit more but worth every penny.

We’ve used Nottingham Victoria Centre Vision Express for many years now, in excess of 20, and they have always been unfailingly professional, friendly and helpful on every visit. Today,13/4/20, Tony, Izzy, and the opticians were lovely, especially Izzy. It was extremely busy but they managed it all so well and gave us a good deal. Whenever minor repairs are needed they help out and usually things can be sorted. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

They have single handedly done everything possible to slow my business down. They have level 1 support which barely knows anything. Level 2 support I think is one guy. Because it takes 3-4 weeks to get a response and they may pass it on to level 3. If you value your business do not pay these people a minute of your time and money. I have stopped.

I had ordered glasses at the Tesco Burnley Vision express and I received an email stating they were to be delivered between Sunday and Wednesday so on Wednesday evening my husband was at Tesco and I asked him to enquire to which he was told they were ready and I could go collect them the following day. I went to pick them up and the Receptionist Elaine was so rude to us and she was being rude to other staff members, she made us feel so belittled when I tried explaining the situation that I didn’t have a text it was my husband who had enquired, she was so rude and honestly did not want to be there. I noticed her being rude when I had my eye test but as I didn’t deal with her directly I brushed it off as her having a bad day but honestly how I was spoken to and treated today I will not be back, I understand things go wrong but just be nice to customers its not that hard, I will say all the other staff were brilliant but she has really turned me off ever returning!

Vision Express Tesco Gallows Corner. The staff that come up to me didn’t seem to want to help and was quick to say come back later in a way bordering rude. The pandemic should not be an excuse for staff to be less accommodating. Maybe she just didn’t want to be there. I’m sure plenty of people will want to take that role and have a nicer manner.
