Came for a hen weekend, the house was beautiful! Just missing a few things from the kitchen and needs a bigger kettle! But other than that fantastic!

Just had 8 nights camping, nice site 2nd visit, pool good needs to be open later, restaurant and bar good, menu does need changing. As usual weekend campers who show no respect to others spoil it with noise and out of control children, the management are pro active once a complaint is made, but they need to be pro-active rather than wait for a client to make the complaint, surely a patrol on Friday and saturday night is better. Good site, excellant staff and clean, shower rooms need revamping as tired. Will revisit at some time.

This is our 2nd visit to WRC. Unfortunately we didn’t feel the cleanliness of our lodge was to the same standard as our last visit. There were dog hairs on the floor, old rice grains and lots of dust in places. For a higher priced ‘luxury’ lodge we did expect better cleanliness. Aside from the lodge the setting is fantastic and staff are friendly. The pool is great and the boat hire onsite is fantastic. The check in/out times are an annoyance when you are only coming for a short stay particularly when the key isn’t even ready at check in. This needs to be improved. Overall a good break and we would come back in the hope that the unclean lodge was just a ‘blip’ this time around.

We stayed Wednesday through to Tuesday, on a camping pitch and hadn't been before. It has really good toilet and shower blocks, a lovely pool, onsite fishing and boat hire, aswell as a good restaurant and shop, for a very reasonable pitch price compared to other sites I investigated. All staff encountered were friendly and efficient, and it was good to sit and read with a riverside view. I would personally avoid busy weekends and school holidays, as the Friday and Saturday pitches were full and rather noisy. This did not however spoil our enjoyment

We booked to stay for a week from 16/06/2019 for 6 nights and on booking I explained that peace was essential for my husband the lady reassured us that Coot 1 would be perfect the 1st night and morning was lovely and I must say it is a very beautiful site the second night thunderstorms so no sleep but drifted off in the early morning only to be awoken at 7.30 by a workman offloading wood and calling his dog and shouting to other workmates then the 3rd night the people in the pitch above us seem to be very loud most of the night and in the morning once again with workmen banging in wooden posts with a metal object then the 5th night 2 boats in the Marina with a large crowd were very loud and swearing until 2am, then the 6th night our last night there was a few tents above us obviously a large group of families partied until 2 in the morning with most of the children playing on the rental boats which made me very nervous in case one of them fell in the water, so whilst the site is beautiful and staff are pleasant there is no control over noise levels, so for our peaceful week costing us £172 we had had an unpleasant stay and was extremely tired by the time we arrived home, with the thoughts that we would not want to visit again, may I suggest that a night warden be employed to help to control night time activity.

Calm relaxing location, with friendly staff will definitely go back again. We’d book the farmhouse for our family and a motorhome pitch overlooking the river all was a great experience.

Wonderful location on the river. Roads leading to the site could be wider for motorhomes and towing vehicles. Touring pitches need some attention we had to move but did get one with water tap which is a bonus as the fresh water tap has a square head unsuitable for hose attachments. Boat hire was great and had food and drink in the pub which was good but a bit pricey.

Lovely spot but kingfisher pitches are very scruffy and had dog dirt on ours. These pitches need to be tidied up and more grassed area. Good showers and toilets but could get noisy at times. Would come again though.

We had a lovely stay , room was as expected having stayed here before, very clean. Ate in pub both nights excellent food. We were both disappointed with breakfast, don’t remember it being ordered at the bar before. On both occasions our order was wrong ; first morning I had to wait for my food whilst my partner ate , the second morning our drinks were forgotten until our food arrived despite waitresses walking around tables to tidy and then talking to each other. This doesn’t give your establishment the standard it should have.

We had a great time as a family of 10 staying in the spa house, the only comment would be to have a bigger fridge for self catering visitors as accommodation slept 10 but fridge not big enough! Other than that we loved staying here the accommodation was fantastic, the visitor information from reception was great! We took the foot ferry and visited the nature reserve stopping at a lovely little hotel/pub for lunch and a drink! We had dinner in the Waveney inn which was lovely and again service great! We would definitely recommend!

Pretty location. Clean facilities. Tasty food in the Inn albeit a bit pricey. Interesting local church and lots of rural walking options. Pool has limited opening hours and very little other indoor entertainment if weather inclement.

Great location, well cared for lodge, nice clean hot tub. Good pub and swimming pool onsite. Swimming pool facilities (reception, side room) looking a little uncared for/messy - could do with a manager to sort out the details. Lodge could do with an inventory checklist - can't help but think ours was missing a lot - no cloths, tea towels, other items etc meant we had to go straight to the supermarket and stock up. Barely enough glasses, cutlery, plates meant we either had to spend all day washing up, or put a half-empty dishwasher on twice a day - not very environmentally conscious! We still really enjoyed our stay, but more attention to detail needed!

Lovely stay , room perfect and very clean. Disappointed with breakfast don’t remember it being like this last time. Had to order at bar so no selection or able to go back for more. We stayed for 2 nights and on both occasions our breakfast order was wrong , waitress was stood talking whilst we didn’t have drinks she walked around tables and didn’t notice.

A haven of tranquility with wildlife in abundance and a welcome dearth of good wifi. Could have been hours away from civilisation. Everyone was helpful, cheerful and polite. Everywhere was well cared for and clean.

Lovely Inn very clean and fresh, lovely friendly staff. I highly recommend you change the porch mat high trip hazard. We stayed in the starboard room, lovely light airy room. Wet room could do with a rail on wall near the toilet, hard to get up if your disabled. A bottle of water in each room wouldn't gone a miss either, as rooms got warm. Food in the pub was lovely and service good and friendly nothing was nothing to trouble either. thank you for a lovely stay.

We really loved the lodge it was a great size and had everything you need for a break. I do think the check in time of 4pm is rather late and the check out rather early as you lose a day. But staff very helpful and kept eye on hot tub daily. Had issue with boiler but came very fast and no further problems. We were sadly not blessed with good weather but we still used hot tub every day as lovely and hot! Black out blinds would be a real plus as the light shines in very early so didn't get a lie in! Bar staff very friendly and plenty to chose from although no lager my husband drinks sadly! But we will hopefully return with my family another time and hope we chose a sunny week to hire a boat etc. Thanks for making us so welcome! w

Overall we enjoyed our stay, it was very relaxed and romantic! The hot tub was a real treat! The staff were lovely and the scenery was beautiful! However we were disappointed to turn up to a full dishwasher of dirty plates mugs etc. So we had to run that ourself where as we felt it should have been done ready for our arrival. Also the signal and wifi wasn’t great. The Waveney inn was slightly disappointing food wise and we wouldn’t eat there again. Will definitely be back, just will not be dining there.
