“As always, we had a great weekend at Waveney. Stayed in a pod this time rather than a tent and will definitely do that again. Really convenient, great view and lots of space for the kids to play. Will be back next year!”

“Didn’t say very good on this occasion due to new booking system for swimming which wasn’t communicated on arrival. Kids very disappointed.”

“We enjoyed camping at the river centre. We saw lots of wildlife and enjoyed the facilities. The playground and pool were great. The showers/ toilets were warm. It would have been good to have a separate toilet block, as there were big queues in the morning.”

“Waveney river centre has a great vibe, enjoyed our stay, this has been our second visit, we will return, stayed in the Lodges last year, and Yurt on this visit. One small negative the bed was noisy in the yurt, and the cuckoo bird also loud and is very early riser (5am)”

“Accomodation is excellent as is the restaurant, the only thing that let you down is a lack of staff in the restaurant that made service a bit slow. Staff very friendly and helpful.”

“Nice lodge - very comfotable - but as we wrote last year the TV set is too high and the settees too low. Other people have also made the same comment in the visitors book.”

“Overall good,however there are things that could be improved. 1. There needs to be more cutlery. 2.The doors leading to the verandah are too complicated,i gather several people have had to call in for help to close them. 3.The mattresses on all the beds could do with replacing. 4.We should have been informed of the repair work taking place close to the accommodation.”

“Wonderful place to chill out. Lots of bird life as well as Roe deer and squirrels. Totally the place to get back to nature without having to go looking for it.”

“Really enjoyed our weekend at Waveney River Centre, it was very clean and we had everything we needed but felt it needed a bit of TLC the carpet in the hallway was badly stained and we think needs replacing and some of the furniture in the lounge. The shop needs a few more things in it eg tomatoes, cucumber, ham, tinnned meat, cakes and bigger selection of biscuits. The staff were very friendly and the food was very good in the restaurant, we will be back.”

“Absolutley great 5 ladies stay was very relaxing, having the boat for the day made it special being able to use the hot tub at any time was also lovely. Clean and tidy even if a little dated accommodation. Only thing to say would have been better if the check out was a bit later. Don't want to end your break rushing around.”

“The site has it all. Just visited in May. The public areas are quite run down in places. They need an on-site engineer with an eye for detail. I noticed toilet door locks missing. Toilet door locks fitted upside down. Multi extractor fans broken. A extractor vent fitted upside down. Wooden railings broken. Loose toilet seats everywhere. Hot tub broken for a year. Driveway in poor state pre holiday season. Broken lockers in pool. No lock on toilet door. No hairdryer handle in family changing room. But this wouldn’t stop me returning. But please spend a week correcting all the little things. They are just irritating little issues. But they are everywhere. I expect better for a £40 tent pitch. Feel free to ring me if you’d like to discuss any points further.”

“I stayed here camping. It was a very nice place the facilities where very good and clean. The only reason for not giving a 5 star was because there was work men and diggers all day just close to our tent. Wanted to get away for peace and quite. But other than that it was lovely.”

“Nice site toilets very clean and Waveney inn very nice , all staff seemed very welcoming . However kingfisher super pitches are small so by the time you have a awning up their little space they are smaller pitches than the most normal pitches on other sites . A bit noisy whilst we were their as they had workman with heavy machinery this could have been pre advised. The hire of kayaks is also expensive because you have to have them for half a day . I think hourly would be far better.”

“Booked a girly weekend to get away and relax. The accommodation was lovely and a really nice place. The beds were very bad and consequently we didn't get much sleep. The maintenance man did try to rectify the issue after the first night so I couldn't fault the staff at the centre. The owners have been informed so I hope they will take note for future bookings. I would return in the summer with family and hire boats out and make use of the pool and pub. Pub does a lovely breakfast and had a good menu. Overall would recommend but would advise to check if privately owned and rented before booking.”
