Very warm and welcoming. There were cobwebs and dust hidden in the corners but the majority of the lodge was very clean. The ramp to the lodge was very slippery in the wet and my partner actually fell over on it in the morning.

Loved the setting, toilets were clean. Touring pitches Ok, but a little cramped if we had needed to put up an awning.Pool was very good with the Jacuzzi great on a cold day.

Wonderful natural environment - saw 3 barn owls up close, muntjac and kestrels even from The Waveney Inn. lovely and peaceful this time of year but touring site smaller than I imagined and would think it gets very busy at peak times. Will visit again but in offseason.

Stayed here a few times before, overall had a lovely weekend just a few little things that weren't so much an issue such as no remote for blu-ray player, lights not working in hot tub, cobwebs in bedroom just little housekeeping things but other than that, overall good experience!

Beautiful setting. Yurt was lovely, even in winter. It would have benefited from a few little touches such as a rug on the floor so you weren't walking on the bare wood. Bed was not comfortable for us, but we are extremely hard to please in the comfy bed department. We would stay again.

Lovely views, good pitch for motorhomes, good facilities but showers and pool changing rooms could do with an update. Also more regular cleaning of jacuzzi as it had sand in it.

Just returned after our seventh visit for new year, a 5 night stay, always enjoyed our time there, we where with family and friends totalling 16 with kids. Alway spent New Year’s Eve in the Waveney Inn. When we enquired about the usual festive night we where told that a £25 per head inc children would be charged, meaning the cost to walk in the door would be £400. We would normally pay £10 per adult kids free, then I would spend approx £150 and others in our party would also spend at the bar, so we did spend thus the pub earned from us being there on the night. So we made alternative arrangements and had a great night. I believe the pub is or was run separately from the Waveney River Centre, so if there still separate then there not responsible for the change in charges. But we should have been informed about the increased cost when their decision was made. Sad to say, family and friends are thinking of spending the holiday somewhere else this year., which for me is a shame as it has become our new year tradition. Thanks for past years of fun but due to this overcharge we may not be returning. Regards Jim Carlin

Great stay at the farmhouse! Fab house for a large family or group, facilities all Adequate and hot tub a lovely addition. A few things maintenance wise which need looking at like the kitchen tap and tv signal in the lounge but couldn’t fault anything else.

Lovely location, excellent facilities. Showers brilliant - underfloor heating was lovely! The only disappointing feature was the booking process only allowed us to book and pay for 3 nights, when we only actually needed 2. Ended up paying for 3 and staying for 2 so slightly more expensive than other sites but obviously limited choices due to the time of year.

The lodge had a marvellous view across the marshes. Sleeping 6 was a bit tight and I wouldn’t have wanted to be there more than a few days as hardly anywhere to put your clothes due to the size of the room. At least one of the rooms would probably be better with bunk beds. Kitchen and living/dining room are perfect. The literature says that if you call the turnpike ferry someone will take you across the water, we tried that only to get a message to say that the Waveney River Centre reception was shut until next year (reception was actually open later). We had intended to walk along the river wall so we’re very disappointed not to be able to do the planned walk. Despite that we had a good stay and would certainly recommend you.

Really nice place to spend the weekend even in November. Pool was lovely, slightly strange that you had to come out of the pool room, pass reception to the lockers then down the hall to the changing rooms. slightly on the chilly side as the door in reception was open so make sure you take your towels with you. The on site showers are a nice idea having separate ones with everything in it for a great start to the day including a free hair dryer, they were clean and warm but some of them could do with a bit of sprucing up they were looking very worn out around the shower areas. Loved the electric boat over to the other shore before setting off for our walk on Saturday, very muddy under foot, was warned by staff, but nothing would stop us. Had a great day. Went to the Waveney Inn for dinner Saturday night, Meal was OK, slightly slow service to start with even though they weren't busy, and it would of been nice to be able to set up a tab so we could of paid for everything in one go. We had 3 starts and 3 main and to be honest the starters were better than the main courses. My husbands steak and ale pie was lacking gravy in the pie and came with a strange combination of carrots, runner beans and chips (think mash and a pot of gravy would of been better). My sons burger was on the dry side even though he had loads of BBQ sauce on it and my burger was also on the dry side, I needed loads of ketchup to get through it, and we all thought the frozen chips where under cooked. so for £60.00 including 3 drinks it was slight;y on the expensive side for what you got. Would be happy to go pack to camp but will be cooking in the motorhome instead of eating out.

A group of us stayed in the cottage on 8th November for the weekend. I would just like to say a big thank you to the maintenance guy who went above and beyond to help fix our issues we had, and bringing a bottle of prosecco to our accommodation and also letting us check our a little later as we had issues with the hot tub. We appreciate him trying to make amends, we will certainly be returning.

This place surpassed our expectations, and made for a lovely weekend getaway. The yurts were clean and very comfortable to stop in, with little extras making life better. The coat stand made a big difference, and even more having the electric heater keeping us warm and toastie. The toilet/shower units were immaculate, and lovely hot water too. We also used the swimming pool, which was clean and tidy too. We spoke to a few members of staff who were all really pleasant, in particular the cleaning lady who was extremely helpful and polite.

The lodge was excellent. Well-laid out, clean and generally excellent facilities. The hot tub was great to have. The staff were friendly and helpful. So, close to 5* but there were some little things which were annoying and could be easily addressed. A light over the front door. A light by the hot tub. Some hooks or similar by the hot tub preferably covered as you could not take a towel out to the tub when it was raining. It was also very difficult to pull the cover back over the tub as there was no easy way to get down the sides. Finally you provide an excellent cooker and hob but only two small saucepans and a fairly grotty frying pan - totally inadequate to cook a meal for 8 people.

Lovely cottage just needs a good spring clean lots of cob webs and dusty floor dishwasher was usable. Cleaners just need to put more effort when cleaning the cottage. But these are minor complaints and wouldn’t put us off coming back as we had a lovely time and nice food and service in the Waveney inn bar
