Although we had a nice relaxing time, on arrival our pitch looked rather uninviting due to a huge amount of weeds, I don't like to give negative reviews but, was disappointed to see the grass cutting team pass this pitch more than once. We have a lovely dinner from the pub delivered to out van that was a nice touch.

Lovely friendly site. Disappointed the price £118 for 4 nights caravan, did not reflect cost of closed facilities. Good dog walking WiFi poor

We had one night with you over the Bank Holiday in our Motorhome to join our friends on their 41 foot plus boats who moored with you for £20 a night who just had electric. To charge us £37 for one night also just using electric was way too high and certainly not justified. We’ve mentioned this to a few people and they couldn’t believe the charge. Unfortunately unlikely we’d stay again.

Not that great out of season with no facilities and ferry not working. Couldn’t find water points, washing up area grubby (despite no tents). It could have been lovely but it felt tired; I’m sure when the season gets underway and restrictions are lifted it will have a completely different feel. Also, if the ferry was working we could have enjoyed some beautiful walks. We had just come from a superb site in Leiston where everything was spot on and clearly pride was taken in every aspect, so the comparison was unfavourable. I did enjoy the peace and quiet, but we would have liked some local knowledge on walks without the need to take the motorhome out down the single track lanes to get anywhere. I would come again, but only when the facilities are fully open and the ferry working. The staff were very friendly, but the site does seem to lean more towards lodges and boating.

Beautiful spacious immaculately clean and well equipped lodges in a peaceful location. Very relaxing to sit on your veranda or in the hot tub taking in the beautiful views. Lovely to be away and feel COVID safe. If you visit the Waveney Inn the staff and food are both equally lovely too.

A mix of good and frustration. Lovely site. Mix of friendly and unfriendly staff. Had booked to check out on Monday. Went to book a swim in the morning before check out but was told that the pool would be closed as England was going into lockdown on Thursday...!? No valid reason why the hot tub was closed when the pool was open. Was told we couldn't have take away fish and chips as the fish 'wouldnt fit in the box' had to suggest that that could cut the fish in two, then it would fit. This had to be back and forth checked with the chef before getting the go ahead! Would have been quicker to drive into beccles for food. Horrendous smell in every shower room. Also very grubby around the edges of every shower. Was told the ferry runs every hour on the hour. Waited from ten to till twenty past. Had to walk up the reception to get them to call someone to take us across. Was told to call when we wanted to return - no answer on the phone. Had to wait another half hour. An hour wait for a 1 minute crossing is a little much. Filled in the form online to ask for vegan options for the restaurant - no reply. When the pool was open is was very nice. Nice layout to the site. The staff that were friendly were very nice.

Cleaning of lodge was no where near up to scratch for ‘normal‘ times never mind covid times. I had a wheelchair friendly lodge but there is not enough room to position a wheelchair at the side of the double bed. Not enough hooks and none down low for wheelchair users in the bathroom/hallway. Apart from that the lodge was fairly well thought out.

Our group were on a canoeing trip along the Waveney and Yare. There were 4 of us in four small packpacking tents. I had booked 2 of the pintail sites believing that we could get two tents on each site. We were told this was not possible and we had to have 4 sites. The cost of that was £84. This is the most I have ever paid for a group of 4 on a 'wild site'. Apart from that the facilities were good and the staff we met were pleasant.

The log cabin was very good, spacious and comfortable. There were some small things that could have made it better such as oven gloves to avoid burns, more bedside lights- 3 lights for 4 bedrooms. The surrounding areas were disappointing, have had more area around the log cabin on other sites, and with an apple tree just outside with lots of fallen apples only glad it was autumn and wet as I would suggest in the summer there would have been swarms of wasps around which would not have been pleasant. The road was rutted and the overall site area was scruffy, but as previously said the actual log cabin was great and the on site staff were very accommodating.

Unable to fill our water tank from the drinking water tap, not able to connect a hose to it. Heron pitch all mud, would be better if it was gravel. It would be very nice in the summer.

We really enjoyed our stay here booked 4 days but only 2 in reality due to covid 19. Got in lodge at 17:20 and left at 09:30 the amenities were all closed except the restaurant had meals there 1st night and second night and breakfast once. Food Ok but service a bit changable, the lodge was very comfortable no bath robes supplied as stated in booking again due to covid restrictions but if towels and linen supplied I don't see why robes cant be. The food shop was shut so either bring with you as the nearest shops ar well away from here, theres a decent farm shop about 2.5 miles up the road 8-6pm and Beccles pub about 8 miles away. Will be back but when life returns to normal. Expensive weekend for the time we spent there cost of accomodation should be relitive to this so thats why only giving 3 stars shame as we loved the place.

Hottub is amazingly sized, easy to find location. The showers were very hit and miss with pressure and also the mattress springs could be felt whilst sleeping, which made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. WiFi had an unstable connection. On balance would still recommend to family and friends.

Lovely resort... Found a dirty fishing hook in the walk in wardrobe on the floor that my daughter stood on!... pizzas and the chips at Waverney Inn pub are inedible!... Day boat for hire very dirty...Staff very friendly.

We apricate our visit coincided with the end of what must have been a very busy and difficult season for you all at WR, coupled with a very wet couple of weeks. Therefore our review is based with that in mind. the site on a whole was looking rather tired, in particular the shower block which after many years of use is due for refurbishment. Surprised to see some of the issue mentioned on our previous feedback survey of 2019 have not been addressed i.e. a lot of loose decking boards around the swimming pool complex, and uneven pathway leading from complex to car park/showers. The plus points were a marked improvement in the quality of food served in the Weary Inn. Like we say we didn't see the site at the best time of the year.

The location itself is pretty but what is tricky is it's approach via a single track which would benefit from more passing places. If you were to encounter a motorhome in the opposite direction then good luck!!! This is a real shame and I wouldn't return because of this, but this is purely my personal view. The site and lodge we're spotlessly clean and all staff friendly and helpful (as is the case with all Hoseasons resorts we have been to). One major fault though with the lodge - both beds need new mattresses. We both woke up with excruciating back pain every morning from both beds as the mattresses were so springy. Again this is a shame because the bed linen is divine and feels like that of a quality hotel.

We stayed at the waterside lodge. It was a fabulous lodge with fantastic views. We couldn’t fault our accommodation at all. We felt that the Waveney Inn restaurant/pub did not present to the same standard. There was little ambiance, the staff were not overly friendly and the food was of poor quality. Also whilst on our stay my parents rented a boat and moored up at the centre one evening. They noticed some very bad practice. An oldish gentleman in a high vis jacket (obviously a member of staff) recovered a water hose which was almost completely under dirty river water, shortly afterwards two younger members of staff used that same hose to fill two of your cruise boats with fresh water. Potentially causing gross contamination. It was quite shocking of them to see. Whilst we loved the accommodation we felt that there wasn’t enough on site (especially with the Waveney Inn not being a draw) to keep us entertained for the stay. On this basis it is unlikely we will stay again.

The chart room was meant to have a river view. Whilst you could just see the river in the distance, the main view was of the recycling bins, workshop and tractor parked outside. Also, it was noisy in the mornings with people arriving for work and cars coming and going.

Booked The Waveney Inn accommodation as a staycation option for my girlfriend's recent 50th Birthday whilst we were there. Stayed in the 'Engine Room' which was the only room left at time of booking and we knew that it was 2 x single beds but we told they would try to accommodate our request to merge the beds together. This wasn't actioned so we had to do it ourselves. The rooms are advertised as 'luxurious' which I wouldn't agree with especially as we paid nearly £100 a night? They are more like a Premier Inn without Air Conditioning, small fridge or shower toiletries ? It was clean and comfortable, carpet is looking a bit tired though? Again I wouldn't describe the shower room as luxurious but functional with a very good large shower head and excellent shaving mirror/light. Drinks choice in the Waveney Inn (Not what I call a pub?) was somewhat limited with only 1 draft lager being Amstel and no Baileys as we discovered. Staff there were very courteous and generally efficient especially Amy and Victor.

Bit disappointed this year we stayed in Beccles Lodge and it wasn't as clean as it was last July when we stayed. Also Waveney Inn we noticed that when the tables were cleared no sanitising was done as routine, only saw it done on 2 tables.

It's a decent place but the plots are very close together and there's not alot to do on site. Thankfully we didn't go for a fishing plot as the fishing area was overgrown and unmaintained.
