“I purchased these for a friend in a nursing home with dementia . She has retained her painting and wood craft skills and it keeps her busy. Bunnies were as I expected, candle sticks so cute! I still would like the shipping to be a little faster tho!!”

“I purchased the 11” wood spindles. These spindles are pretty nice. The only issues that I had were that the ends of some of the spindles were not truly rounded. They were more of a triangular shape. Also the end diameter varied by 1/8”. I was able to rework the ends and they were fine. Made my project beautiful in the end. I will purchase again when needed…. Especially since I don’t have a lathe.”

“It would be great if you offered different thickness of your wood, ie, 1/8th, 1/4, etc. 2 of my orders had things cracked, the lettering word work. We were able to glue them, but would have been better if we could have ordered a thicker size. I would have been happy to pay extra. Also, think about offering adding a hole in your items so people can hang them. I now have to get my brother in law to add holes to everything. The larger stuff would be great to have cord like woven cord stapled to it as an option for an additional fee. People would pay for that. I know I would have for all my pieces!!”

“Tried to buy more from you but somehow after logging into your account it shifted to another craft company selling the same things. I was unaware of the change until I completed the transaction. I don't know how this happened. I must admit that the other company "craft something" delivered my order very guickly. The postage seemed less and it must have come by special delivery. Probably trying to secure a new customer.”

“We will be using the trays to make headstones for halloween decorations. Painting them black and writing info on them and then staking them to the ground through the slits on the side of the tray. haven;t begun working on them yet. Will be ordering more trays in the future, also spider webs, spiders and bats.”

“Glad you asked! You might be sorry you did! I'm actually having problems using these dowels, and wouldn't mind some ideas. I'll try to make a long story short. I've enclosed a drawing and a photo. Many years ago I started to carve a large mushroom. For the top, I laminated eight 2 x 6 's (actually 1.75” x 5.5”) using hide glue which is an indoor glue. Recently I donated this carving to the local senior center for their outdoor garden, and with the weather, a large piece broke off the top. I'm sure more of the boards would have delaminated in time. I decided to reinforce it with dowels and exterior glue (Titebound III). I was afraid regular dowels would just displace the glue, so I wanted to use fluted dowels. Your 5” x 5/8” were the biggest fluted dowels I could find. The drawing shows my plan. Because of the drill bits I had available, I had trouble drilling 5/8” holes that deep. I had envisioned a nice snug fit, and that I would be tapping the glue embedded dowels in with a mallet. But when I tried fitting them, they were falling out loose. They measure about .615” at the widest point. I tried soaking some of them for a long time in water and that kind of put them over the 5/8” width. Still they were kind of loose, hardly making contact with the original boards. Also I'm not sure water logging them is such a good idea. It turns out, because of the depth I needed for the holes, I ended up making some pretty sloppy holes. So I'm sure that is also a factor. I was thinking of making a kind of paste by mixing glue and sawdust. I'd fill the grooves in the dowels with regular glue and coat the outside with this mixture of sawdust and glue as I'm pushing them in. So that's my story.
