“We started off buying a merino wool mattress enhancer. We initially found that the hairs poked through the sheet, making for a tickly experience. However, this was down to the poor quality of our bed linen and was resolved easily enough by buying decent sheets. After that we have been so impressed that we've bought the all seasons duvet and deluxe pillows. The quality is excellent and the sleeping experience second to none. My morning asthma attacks and sneezing has gone and it is a joy to sleep in the warm summer nights. We're so confident in the wool room's products that we recently put an order in for a mattress! Can't wait :)”

“I have bought three of your wool pram blankets for a younger generation of mums who don't necessarily appreciate the benefits of pure wool. All of them have loved the comfort and warmth and the beautiful soft colours which can't be found in synthetic fabrics. They are simply lovely.”

“I ordered 3 woolen duvets and they arrived very promptly. We are very very happy with them and both children are sleeping very well. Our daughter who was also very "hayfevery" in the mornings is now totally cleared up now that we have removed the feather down duvet inners. I would recommend both the Wool Room and the duvets we got.”

“I was extremely impressed. First with the precise and quick delivery information and the actual delivery which was correct to the minute. I was impressed with the careful way the product was wrapped and the beautiful fabric bag in which it was contained. I am very impressed with the deluxe ,single, light weight duvet I have since used. I shall be be very inclined to buy more of these beautifully produced products. I would like a price list of the beds and the next date of sale products.”

“We were advised to try a wool filled duvet, to help alleviate the constant night sweats my husband had been having. The duvet has certainly helped, by providing a more even, comfortable temperature resulting in a better night's sleep. The service and delivery were exemplary. Thank you.”

“Dear woolroom team, I am very happy with your sheep pillows! They look great and actually smell a little bit like sheep if you put your nose close to them which is amazing and really natural! It is di nice to not smell some sort of chemical.... The delivery was so quick, thanks a lot! Just a little tip for Toronto: FedEx is the least popular courier here to put it mildly. Their customer service is simply terrible and they send you all over the city sometimes to go get your parcel. It would be nice if customers could choose between two couriers. Other than that, keep doing what you're doing, it's amazing!”

“This was my second purchase from the Wool Room and it arrived extremely quickly and was perfect. My first venture into a Wool Topper or Woolrest as it was called then was 30 years ago, and up to buying the new one (more modern of course and made slightly differently), I was still using it. Warm in winter and yet oddly they keep you from sweating in summer. The second purchase was a new pillow cover in wool, the old one I had got a bit hard (a bad experience with a washing machine cycle not made for wool) and it s perfect, no chance of a sweating head in the middle of summer. I would highly recommend these and despite the expense they are well worth it. The old 30 year old Woolrest is now going on the spare bed, so you see they do last a long time.”

“It takes a leap of faith to order something like a mattress topper across the Atlantic. When I was following the review posted on the internet, I was somewhat skeptical. I neither expected this caliber of merchandise at the price I paid nor that it arrived so fast - all at an unbelievably low shipping charge. Immediately upon opening the crushed, re-taped shipping box that weathered the trip across the pond and the continent and taking out the cotton storage bag, I realized that this was a quality merchandise. The Brits, they always seem to know how to impress the buyers, I thought. The wool stays fluffy and complements our cherished investment, a Vi-Springs mattress for which we forked out the price of a compact car some years ago. Until we can afford a horse-hair topper, this one is to keep. Thanks a lot for such a great product and for making it even more affordable through your annual sale!”

“Having previously purchased a so called king size blanket only to find that it was not, I was apprehensive to order online again (the company did not respond to my complaint). However the item was as described and is very generously sized. My only slightly adverse comment is regarding the colour. It is described as champagne which I would have thought was a cream/ivory colour. It is quite dark and I personally would describe it as camel. The delivery was very quick and everything was dealt with efficiently/ I will definitely recommend.”

“Excellent service and product as described. Slightly disappointed that the duvet is quite so heavy and flat. Very warm and comfortable though. Probably still prefer down and feather mix for comfort.”

Wool is far more efficient at keeping you warm and cool than other bedding materials, meaning you don't need the loft to achieve the same result. “The bags of woollen pillow filling were purchased because my husband gets very hot in bed at night especially around the head and neck. He has replaced the filling on one side of his pillow with the woollen clusters and left the synthetic clusters on the other side. As yet he has not noticed that the woollen side is any cooler....”

Hi Sheila, Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We certainly wouldn't suggest mixing synthetic and wool in one pillow because you simply wouldn't feel the benefit. The unnatural synthetic is going to counteract the wool fibre meaning you won't feel the benefits of its temperature regulation. It's important also to make sure that your outer pillow cover is natural too, if it's not, it will fight against the wool Do give us a shout if you'd like to discuss this further.
