After an initial mess-up with the Web page (cleverly designed to fast-track returning customers to the final stage of the ordering process, but thereby missing out the stage at which one could enter one's discount code -- something which staff seemed unable to understand at first, and then unwilling to admit), I managed to order four books. They arrived in three packages: two of the four books had been so hastily packed that they had corners of the covers and some of the pages bent back and crumpled. I'd had enough of grappling with Wordery's customer "service", so kept the books, with a vow to myself not to use Wordery again.

Although I received this promptly, there were multiple pages in the book that were crumpled and ripped. This was for a gift for Christmas, whether a gift or not, I should not be receiving a damaged product. Little didappointed

Order ref. WRDRY-07-29-08529157 The email sent to me stated delivery in 2-9 working days disappointed with the length of time between order and purchase. The three books finally arrived at the destination on Tuesday 12th Dec (12 working days). I thought you would do better than that.

Delivery took 5 days longer than expected. Book sleeve had glue on it.

The package used was over-large which resulted in one of the copies being slightly damaged. As one copy was a present and the other was for my family, all was not lost but it caused mild irritation.

Book was great but you now keep spamming me. I tried to unsubscribe but it did network. Instead you has some BS message stating you're working on your systems. This is illegal- a person cannot be forced to stay on a mailing list whilst you sort your sleves out.

I ordered two books on one order, that were despatched separately. The first item was SO damaged, approximately the first hundred pages behind the front cover were in a concertina, completely unreadable. The second item was just incorrect. I ordered something off my son's Xmas list and received a religious book...not sure he would have been impressed! I would have scored 'Very Poor' only for the fact that both items are being replaced and I haven't had to go to the inconvenience of returning the damaged and incorrect books. Afraid to say that I may not bother with Wordery again in the future, it's just too much hassle.

It took almost a month to receive my book and tracking wasn't offered. I now receive an inordinate amount of spam in my inbox from Wordery too.

Orders aren’t tracked or signed for. The book I bought to send onto New Zealand in time for Christmas is lost in the post and it will take up to another 9 days for a replacement. The upside, the Wordery team were quick to respond.

I ordered a play recently from the website and was expecting the delivery in 4-11 working days. After this period I was still waiting and decided to check on my orders to find out it had been ‘delivered to my home’ however nothing arrived. It took about 4-5 days to get a response on my package to find out it had been lost in transit. Thankfully I was given a replacement.

Disappointed to find that this map was sealed shut with a large strip of tape that could not be removed without tearing the paper surface and leaving a sticky residue.

It took soooooooo loooooong to get my book! I didn't feel that when I ordered my book that there was enough info telling me it would take weeks to get a book. If this had been made really clear at the beginning, I could have understood.

1/ your new packaging no longer fits thru a letterbox. By all means go eco - but must you package even small books so big?! my order consisted of one VERY small book, it was packaged in a huge package, with added packaging inside & one small book hidden in there! Naturally, the postman could not get it thru the letterbox. When I first odered from you, your packages went thru the letterbox, meaning no need of safe places to leave the package. 2/ You seem to take ages now in despatching the orders, it's getting slower. Too slow. 3/ Wordery said on my latest order - "will arrive b4 Xmas if ordered by the 11th Dec. I ordered on the 9th. - yet as soon as I placed the order - that changed! to "no longer will be guaranteed arrival b4 Xmas!" You should state which it is BEFORE the order is placed! & finally 4/ You have changed the option to place a query on the order section on the account - which saved time - now, you have to use the contact us. Whuich is extra fiddle to the customer. You were very good a couple of years ago, but are changing for the worse. I will not be placing anymore orders.

I have returned a second copy of a book which was ordered in error, and was surprised to read that it takes up to fourteen days to refund my money and also that I had to pay for the return postage. Your main online bookselling competitor gives refunds much more promptly, and pays for the return postage. Unless you improve your customer 'service' I will think carefully before ordering again from Wordery.

I placed an order in the evening but unfortunately I had duplicated it & tried to cancel it the following morning but i was told it had already been shipped. I find it hard to believe it had been shipped so quickly considering i placed the order out of hours & tried to cancel before shop opening hours the next day.
