“Bought book all inclusive price. Had to pay half of the price in taxes when it arrived, although everything was already ppaid for. Emailed your company without ever getting à repli, an explication at least. And now you ask me for a review?”

“We bought some books, and we discovered after the fact that we had to pay import taxes to France, so we paid some taxes at check out and we had to pay again at the post office. when we contacted you, you just said it was our problem and never answered back again. The books were not well packed and arrived damaged.”

“The books I received looked as though they had been chewed at the ends! The customer service was dreadful when I commented on the extra customs payments that amounted to the same price of the books.. I normally use “ Book Depository “ however, decided to try Wordery instead… I shall not make that mistake again!”

“I bought a book as a Christmas present to be sent directly to the recipient but it didn’t arrive for weeks and I had to chase it. I was told that there had been an error in the system which was then corrected. I understand these things can happen but it was embarrassing given it was a present for someone and also that the error wasn’t noticed. My first time using the service so obviously not a good initial experience”

“I had not ordered from you in some time, primarily because your packaging had become so poor and I was tired of damaged books. But for some reason I did so and you sent me a single paperback book that was well packaged in a hard, protective cardboard mailer. "They're back!" I thought. Not so fast... I started ordering from you again and it all went quickly to hell. The picture I uploaded was the last order I placed with you for multiple hardbound books. They showed up in a loose thin plastic bag. No protection, no nothing. Every corner of every book was dented/crushed... every one. I didn't feel like going through the hassle of returning them so I did something else; I learned. You can delete my account and my wish list. I won't be ordering from you again. And that's a shame because when I first discovered you, you were wonderful and even if your books cost more than Amazon I would order from you because I'm not wild about Amazon but even more important when I ordered a book from you I knew it would arrive in pristine condition.”

“I discovered Wordery through La Leche League about six weeks ago, and ordered the LLL guide in time for my granddaughter's birth. She's over a month old and the book has not arrived. The "help" Wordery has provided has been so recalcitrant and ineffectual that I'm about to order the guide from Amazon. Ugh! Not only that but on another book in that order, my kids, to whom this was a gift, had to pay 12 euros in tax. Worse yet, a 28€ book which I did receive, was not the title I had intended to order, and the postage to return it, from France to UK, comes to over 22€! So that's hardly worth the effort. I'll keep it, and look for another service to replace Amazon. This is all the more disappointing since the Wordery site looks and feels good. They're better at marketing than at selling -- and delivering -- books. If there were less than one star available, that's what they deserve, I'm sorry to say.”

“Beware if ordering and based in France unless you have factored in the additional tax upon delivery. The website is a .com address and no indication of a UK number or address so easy to be misled. The tax makes it a very expensive book!”

“As of the 6th January 2022, I have still yet to my order I placed on the 8th December 2021. It was posted on Christmas Eve, which was a shame as it was a Christmas present.”
