“Ordered on 09/04 and it was delivered 23/04 despite order email saying it would be delivered within 4 working days. I wouldn’t mind but I had no updates and no notification at the time of the order that they were delayed in deliveries so I ended up forking out £5 for another courier to get the book delivered to my mum as a present after I already sent her a box of gifts that I had to send without the book otherwise it would’ve been too late. If I’d known the delivery would take 2 weeks I wouldn’t have minded so much. Book itself arrived in standard packaging and great condition”

“Recommended the worst, most poorly written book that I have read in their ‘books of the week’ email. I really lost trust in them as a customer as clearly just promote any book they have a deal with. Have since unsubscribed from their mailing list. Won’t be buying from them again. Disappointing. Waterstones do not promote poor literature.”

“The book I ordered took a month. It was a text book and my class was half over by the time I received it. Very frustrating and disappointing. They only gave me a "date range" when it would come and it was a week longer than that.”

“I have still not received my order so have asked for it to be sent again. It was a birthday present for my brother who should have received it weeks before his actual birthday having ordered it at the end of march, but now it will be weeks after. Not impressed with the service so far.”

“Two of the cd cases in my order are damaged, on is cracked on the outside of the case and the other has half of the disc holder missing. So I have to replace the cases so I’m not too happy with that.”

“Ordered a hardback book, It had been packed with padding on only 3 sides of the book meaning that it could move within the transit box. This resulted in the dust cover being ripped. Not impressed”

“The book took 3 weeks to arrive..I placed another order for 2 x books on 12 March. I still await delivery. I e mailed you 07 April to enquire what is going on but I have had no reply. Very poor customer service. The order ref for this is ESSUK-33354 1262717 5916014. I have paid for these books. Please advise can you supply or not?”

“Advertised as a Beetlejuice journal and card box set. What it actually was was a card set in a journal shaped box. My friend still loved it but had it been the actual journal been present as the description advertised, idve been more impressed! So sorry, your only having a poor rating on this one, because somebody made a mistake! Could go down the road of “False advertising” but hey ho! On the upside, this is the only time i have had an issue with wordery, everytime i have ordered books from them they have been fantastic!”

“my book was damaged,. literally so bent out of shape that it is hard to turn pages. i believe the price was low because it was damaged, tho advertised as new. i do not have time or energy to pack a return and take it somewher.”

“Book went to an old address, so haven't received it. Have had to pay for it anyway. Sorcery didn't request address details so presumed it was gained from PayPal. Customer service just hoped it would be returned. Not happy, no refund and no book.”
