“Website is confusing as I opted to collect in store and it showed Silverburn Glasgow as an option but then would not let me select. Next day I received a message to say store in England and if I wanted goods posted I would need to pay postage”

Thank you for your review. Our customer service team raised your issue with our technical department, however they were unable to find any area on our website to state that we do a collection service in Glasgow. On this ocassion we were unable to resolve your issue.

“The item received - Groundhog Tent pegs was fine - but the cost of the carriage was EXHORBITANT for an item which weighed less than ONE KILO - I paid over £13.00 plus VAT. When I called customer services - I was told that any item weighing between 1kilo ( mine was less) and 30 kilos was charged at the same rate. What a racket - I won't be ordering from World of Camping again.”

Thank you for your review and understand your fustration at our postage costs, however we do not profit from our courier costs and UK Mail charge more for the islands and highlands of Scotland. We send all our goods via one carrier regardless of size as it needs to be tracked and signed for.

“Package delivery rescheduled by me as was due to arrive while I was away. Package did not show up as per the re schedule. When I checked the tracking facility it was showing as being at the couriers depot. I requested next working day delivery and it turned up before any of the notification emails got to me. On delivery the Packaging was open and this was pointed out to me by the courier, however the product looks ok when examined and was all present and correct. However not used it yet. I guess the only criticism really is about the delivery issues which is down to UK Mail and not World of Camping. I would be interested to see what World of Camping have to say in response to my feedback though”

Thank you for your review. Your package was damaged on delivery and after speaking with customer services they have told me that your money was refunded for the damaged item recieved.

“The item, a airbeam pump adaptor cost £1.99 arrived safely and works well. The delivery charge at £5.99 for a small plastic 50g adaptor was extortionate. Especially when you add to the fact that this was for a second class delivery service that arrived after the event it was required for. As a seller myself it might be worth looking at the postal charges for very small light items, rather than just having a blanket charge, or at the very least use the money to send small items via a fast service.”

“A bit disappointed with the loo tent. It had an opening at the top which let the rain in , we had to put guided ropes to each corner, no was that going to stand up in the wind! So ok but not 100 percent!!!”
