I have never experienced worse customer service in my entire life. I have spent all day on and off trying to get an 800 gbp order placed, to no avail. It was one excuse after another, they were impossible to work with, and once it finally went through this evening they decided to cancel the order without warning. A complete waste of time and to add to that, through all the failed transactions via phone and the internet they have maxed out my credit card by holding the space for failed transactions and can do nothing about it so I'm not able to order with any other supplier for days now. The state of their customer service team is completely embarrassing and infuriating.

Have always ordered from Argos without incident until there was a problem with the driver, he called me and told me he would be at my house within the hour I agreed with him at least 45mins as I was out doing a school run, he said ok as he had 2 drops to do before me anyway. Got another call 28mins later to say he was outside my house and getting no reply??? Like seriously! Anyway to cut it short I called customer complaints as my very large expensive item was not delivered, I cancelled the order! Took me 12 days to get my refund back even though I was told on the phone 3 to 5 days. Not happy at all.

My husband and I visited the Seaham Argos store today and the service we received was fantastic, the young man was the exceptionally helpful. The badge he was wearing said 'Mark, Manager', I'd just like to thank him for taking the time to explain things to us.

Fraudulent company with the worst customer service: I tried to buy this wardrobe less than a week ago when it was being advertised for £136. However, my online transaction was partially declined by Argos for some unknown reason. The money was taken from my account but the order was not placed. Later when I contacted Argos, they were extremely rude on the phone. After a long struggle speaking to multiple people, they eventually said that something went wrong due to some technical fault in their systems and that the have cancelled the order and that the money will come back into my account in the next 3-5 days after which I can place the order again if I wish. They didn't even apologised for this inconvenience. Now when I was going to place the order again, Argos has increased the price by almost 48%. This is absolutely ridiculous and a total fraud. Besides that Argos is advertising '£3.95 same day delivery' as their selling point. But that is also a lie as the actual price and the delivery time is a lot more than that.

Oh my God. I thought there is nothing like customers service again in Argos but seriously I met this guy (Argos staff ) called Craig, this guy is so lovely, I was thinking he should be the manager because of how he's supporting customers until I met their lovely Manager Dan. I bought Toilet seat for my 2 years old daughter and Craig started putting it together for me and Dan came in and joined him. They were so great and lovely guys. Craig will make a lovely manager one day and Dan will make a lovely regional manager one day as well. It took them nearly an hour to do it but they don't care. It was not a job for them, just help a single mother. Thank you guys. I will always buy my stuff from Argos basildon Eastgate.

I didn't see / get a next day delivery option online, I ordered on a Thursday and was told earliest delivery was Wednesday, to me that is incredibly slow for a delivery of a needed kitchen item, I have had things from china delivered faster. I will definitely use another store in future,

What price online is not what you get in store. To view a product in store you are not allowed to take off packaging to view it. Or you can see the cardboard it is wrapped in only. Gift cards expire on a different date to what is printed on the gift card.

Ordered a wardrobe for delivery on a Sunday 12-6 as that was the only time I'd be in. Got a text message from them around 2pm to say that due to unforeseen circumstances that my delivery would be cancelled. On phoning customer services, the woman advised me that the next available date would be a week on Tuesday. Very unprofessional, wasn't unforeseen, they just didn't have stock.

I was served by a very pleasant member of staff who helped with my query. She was very efficient and knowledgeable gave great customer service. She greeted me as I walk into store took me to browser and helped me find and explain the difference between the items I was looking for and then put them on a viewing for me to decide which one I wanted. Not only did she do that then she showed them to me took me to till and put them through she explained fully that I could protect my electrical item which I did as thought that it was a great benefit. All in all fantastic service thank you Sandra in Pembroke Dock store.

ARGOS – CARE Re. FURNITURE DELIVERY If you are elderly, infirm, disabled or just on your own – BEWARE - if you order furniture for delivery from Argos it could end up on your drive if the Argos delivery men decide they are don’t want to take it into your house! We ordered a single bed and paid for it to be delivered. An Argos van arrived; two men got the bed out one carrying the base, the other the mattress. The one carrying the mattress proceeded to walk across a wet lawn despite there being plenty of room to come up the drive, he put the mattress down in the porch looked at the carpet in the hall and called out to his mate that it was “white”. He then proceeded to push the mattress from the porch halfway into the hall and the second man then put the base down half in the porch and half on the drive. I asked if they were just going to leave it there at which the second man said they weren’t going to walk on our carpet because they may have dirt on their shoes, then leaned into the house from the porch and said they wouldn’t take it upstairs anyhow as the stairs had a turn in them. I was surprised by this response as we had had a king sized and a double bed delivered by Argos during the last 18 months and on both occasions the men had delivered the beds right into the bedrooms with no fuss – same carpet same turn in the stairs. If Argos provides a delivery service for beds/furniture etc. which entails entering a house then why do they not provide drivers with overshoes/shoe protectors like most other people who have to deliver into your home? Most stairs have a bend somewhere either at the bottom or the top or indeed like ours at a half landing in the middle - it has never been a problem for other furniture delivery companies and indeed was not a problem for the previous Argos men when they delivered two much larger beds. When I finally got through to the “Directors Team” to complain I was told that delivery into the house is totally at the discretion of the delivery men if they decide the carpet is too light or the stairs have a bend in them then they can refuse to bring the furniture into the house. I asked what would happen if when the delivery men arrived they found the householder was disabled and I was told the position was exactly the same if the delivery men decided that they did not want to bring the item into the house then they could refuse and presumably the item would stay on the drive! I realise that somewhere buried in all the small print of the terms and conditions there will be a clause allowing Argos to do this but come on if Argos are going to sell furniture and offer a delivery service then they should deliver into the house, other furniture stores do. So if you are disabled, elderly or just on your own and you don’t want your new three piece suite or bed left on your drive then the message is simple DON’T BUY IT FROM Argos!
