Disgusted. Manners do not cost anything, shouting and telling everyone what they can and cannot do at the tills very bad. They should speak to customers with respect.

I purchased cigarettes online for click and collect on the 7th May 2020, due to the menthol ban I purchased quite a few, using my last available funds to do so. I specifically requested 'no substitutes' as I have a particular brand only. On collection, asda had given me substitutes, which were promptly handed back to the cashier 'Alina'. Alina advised that she would email head office and a refund would be issued, but I was concerned as I wasn't given a return receipt or proof of return. I went online to see if I could initiate a return on the system, by there appeared to be a glitch and wasnt allowing me to initiate a return. As I have had issues with Asda previously and know their refund process can be very slow, so I tried to avoid these issues, by requesting a proof of return at the time, I also called Asda the following day 8th May, I spoke with Rachel who raised a claim reference number 200508-005603. I was advised a refund would be with me within 5 days. On 14th May, I still had not received a refund so I called Asda yet again, spoke with Hazel, who advised that a refund had not been issued, she said she would look into this an ensure a refund was done, she gave me another case reference number 200514-008173. I requested compensation at this point as due to the fact that I had not received the refund owed to me, I did not have enough money to purchase more cigarettes before the menthol ban on the 20th May, so this just added to the inconvenience that Asda has caused, hazel advised she would look into this for me. I did not hear back from Hazel to advise if this issue had been resolved, but still no refund. So today, 21st May 2020, I contacted Asda again, spoke with Chris who advised that a refund had not been issued and as I had no proof of the return they would need to investigate and check CCTV footage. I am outraged! If Asda had followed procedure in the first place and not given me substitutes when I requested this at the time of my order, this situation could have been avoided, I was advised by Chris that 'Alina' the cashier, who took the return should have printed off a return receipt, but she didn't (which could have also prevented this issue). Customer services agents, Rachel and Hazel both advised me that a refund would be issued, so did not investigate further, so this only delayed the process, and now I am waiting on Chris to get back to me once they have found CCTV footage, god only knows how long this will take! Meanwhile they still have my £152 accruing interest in their bank (not mine), the menthol ban is in place so I can no longer purchase my cigarettes and I am even more frustrated with how Asda has handled the whole process! On the 21st May, I sent am email to the CEO of asda and customer complaints as I felt I wasn't getting anywhere speaking with customer services. On the 27th May 2020, I received an email from Sam, a member of the Executive Relations Team, who advised he would investigate my complaint. On 1st June 2020, I emailed for an update, Sam advised me that they were checking CCTV, I had already been advised this had been done. On 2nd June 2020, I received an email advising that the refund had been approved but they were having difficulty refunding this to my card, but they would update me. On 9th June 2020, I emailed again requesting an update on the refund, I finally received a response on the 12th June 2020 from Elliot, who advised that they were still investigating how to refund my payment card, but he would be back in touch. It is now the 22nd June and still no communication or refund!! This is completely unacceptable, and it appear the only way that ASDA will see how serious I am, is if I take legal action, more unnecessary stress and anguish for me just to get MY MONEY back.

Asda Chesser, Edinburgh- No queue outside but massive queues inside, up the aisles ! Impossible to socially distance due to this ! Checkouts were not manned but could've been ! Poor poor management ! How to pass on Covid in one easy lesson ! Meanwhile, The manager struts about like a Peacock sp>>d oblivious to it all with pound signs spinning in his eyes ! This has been going on for three weeks now !

Been to Stanley Co. Durham store today, there were too many shoppers inside given the current Covid-19 situation. I complained and was told management had asked staff to allow more people inside at one time, shocking.

Asda Eastlands in Manchester! Visited on Friday 20th June late afternoon. No social distancing, no queuing outside even though there was a sign outside the front doors stating 50 people max!! It was like a circus inside. It was an absolute free for all. Way too many people. No sanitising going on. Far Too many people let in. I felt unsafe & very uncomfortable. It was like people had come into the store for a night out and to socialise! Absolutely shameful & a disgrace. I ended up leaving my trolley & leaving the store as ive never witnessed anything like it pre-lockdown let alone post Covid19. Will not be shopping at this store again for the foreseeable future! In contrast a visit to Sainsburys showed how its done. Controlled queues OUTSIDE the store, enabling safe social distancing inside. I will be shopping at Sainsburys or any other store from now on. The review doesn’t even deserve a single star!!!

Well where do I start. I am in the Extremely vulnerable group and have the misfortune to have been allotted to Asda as my local priority supermarket. ASDA without warning or explanation have suspended my account and all my future grocery orders leaving me in a more vulnerable position with no prospect of getting a delivery slot with another supermarket for the next 3 weeks. I have tried to call their so called customer services who are totally inept and promise that someone will call back but they never do. I have been left feeling extremely depressed by being abandoned and left feeling like a criminal

Rude ignorant driver delivered, didn't even get a chance to see substitutes as he was of as soon as he could. Poor substitutes in my shopping plus all boxes of soup squashed and I didn't even get a chance to tell him and he even left the gate opened

Most shocking customer service I have ever come across. Left my daughter-in-law and grandchildren in tears. , conflicting information given to me. Very dismissive rude. I’m shocked to learn that because customer services are working from home that they’re unable to get a manager to ring back . Implied that my family are thieves. They have absolutely no interest in finding out internally what’s going on. Just brushing the whole incident under the carpet. Was even mocked By and member of staff on the phone to the Dagenham store.( A Couple of staff I must admit where helpful and courteous) The money we have spent as a family in the store apparently counts for nothing. And all down to a sticker that apparently they can see on CCTV ! Do they really think I’ve spent the best part of a two days trying to sort this out if I was in the wrong. I am absolutely exhausted. I cannot tell you how much stress they have caused us as a family. And after all of this my grandchildren are still left without the TV. Shame on you Asda.

had some garden furniture delivered F,riday morning, most disappointed when i removed wrapping to discover the sofa leg was bent.I called customer services after a very long wait wastold this could not be collected as the the delivery service only delivers and will not collect my damaged item.I have called several times to be put on hold for a long time then told I will be called back. The last time i spoke to them 5pm today I was told i will definately get a call back today.well it,s gone 8.30pm I have been fobbed off again .Asda customer services are extremely poor,I will not be spending money in their stores again.Having read the reviews on here this seems to be the norm.

At the start of the epidemic, Asda seemed willing to accommodate shielding guidelines by leaving orders packed in carriers on the doorstep. However, as the weeks have progressed, matters have deteriorated rapidly. I've recently had several large orders arrive with every item left loose in crates - eggs, meat, ready meals, cans etc. That might not be a problem for everybody but I'm shielding and trying to reduce contact time with drivers and have significant musculoskeletal problems which make that kind of unloading very difficult and painful. On the first occasion when I asked about bags the driver remarked "there were plenty in store but they don't want to do it, they say they're too busy". I called ASDA, flagged the issue and hoped it would not recur. Incidentally, a significant # of items were missing from the order. On the second occasion, the driver just shrugged his shoulders, hovered over me for a few minutes while I unpacked, eventually remembering social distancing. I was left in pain and concerned about the unnecessarily extended delivery time/contact with reusable crates. Once again, I flagged this with ASDA. I received a response, advising me that I could be reassured that more bags were on the way! I was also advised that the local store manager had prioritised frozen and chilled products for bagging due to the carrier shortage - clearly my order was the exception as I'm absolutely confident the eggs, ice lollies and lamb shanks on my doorstep were not in bags in spite of the representative from executive relations insisting otherwise. There is absolutely nothing in the response from executive relations that indicates to me that ASDA is learning from feedback and I'm still waiting for an apology. It was merely a matter of "more bags are on the way" (hardly helpful if you don't allow staff time to pack orders) and "as per the manager frozen and chilled goods were bagged" - no they jolly well were not and the response from executive relations was dreadful.

We always do our shopping online and it has been no different during lockdown. We live in Manchester city centre and the last 2 drivers have been incredibly rude and unprofessional. One of them lied to us saying asda guidelines prevented him to enter the building which we accepted and understood due to the current circumstances but challenged as none of his colleagues had claimed the same before. The driver then threatened to leave if we didn't came down and collected the food immediately, he then hung up the phone with no chance to reply. When we collected the food the driver justified his actions by the lack of ppe which we have noticed and think is very irresponsible from ASDA's management when their delivery staff are in contact with thousands of people. The last experience was yesterday with a driver that didn't ring our bell at all and we only realised he had arrived by hearing him throwing our shopping violently on the floor outside our flat. When we opened the door he didn't even said hello.

I received my Asda.com product without a returns form. I returned it to Asda Sefton Park on Friday 5 June. I waited 15 minutes to be told by an assistant to stand at the end of the counter as there was no one on the customer service desk. I waited another 20 minutes for someone to arrive to tell me to take my parcel home and post it as I did not have a returns note. I refused and told him Asda website says to bring it to a store. He then told me he did not know how else he could help me. A manager or supervisor then said I could leave it at the store but I did not receive a returns note. I travelled 3 miles to return my item on Friday. I received an email to acknowledge my return. I was told at the store my money would be returned within 3-5 days. I asked if it would be possible to receive a credit voucher instead of waiting on the refund I was told no. I then spent nearly £30 in store. I called Asda customer services today. They wanted a returns note number which I did not have as I had not been given a returns note. They had not received my item back in their depot? They had not returned my refund and said I would have to wait 3-5 days for that. I explained I needed my money they said it was their process . I am appalled at your service and lack of empathy knowing full well how people are struggling at the moment. I will never use this service again
