Beyond words !!!!! SO BAD - SOLD AN ITEM FOR €3800 - end of April - here we are June 9th - i have received NOTHING !! only BS and generic tardy email responses I honestly do not expect to be paid. I wish someone with a big stick could close them down so others do not have to experience the same fraudulent behavior

Horrible for sellers and bidders alike. Smarmy little know it all “experts” know less than nothing. The support team needs a lesson in communication. AVOID THE DUMP OF A COMPANY.

well organized platform and you buyers who think you are doing stupid unsuspecting deals.well organized platform and you buyers who think you are doing stupid unsuspecting deals. how is it possible a diamond 0.10 same color purity i3 valued at 1000 1100 euros and another 015 ct i3 that is not even worth 170 euros. but do you buyers know how much an i3 pink diamond costs? I'll tell you on eBay you find it at 50usd and maybe a little more you can find it i2 and i1. these experts are must truly organized incompetents. a sort of scam.

this is a practical example of a corrupt site where the expert is very likely to take care of his business, otherwise he would have no problem accepting a similar object, indeed the same look at the photos, objects approved only by two only non-professional French sellers. purchased on eBay .com from vendors pongpanotgems, gemsporium, etc. for a few euros. and resold on catawiki.

corrupt sites run by corrupt experts, with high probability that they sell them articles, send new guidelines, but do not respect themselves or at least do not apply to everyone, maybe except for them. and for accomplices these are the clear evidence. guidelines sent in April by Naomi h. and Debora mazza in May read the date of the offers. in the photos, But there are others. opals etc. read the minimum weight in the guidelines and the minimum characteristics.

So I bid on 3 paintings and won all three. I go to pay, and I get declined. The site advises me to contact my credit card. I contact my credit card and they tell that they didn't get any request for approval. I email Catawiki and explain the situation. According to their website they are suppose to respond within 2 business days. After three business days, I get no answer, but I do get a nasty email saying I late with my payment. In reality, according to their site I have three business days to pay. I call them and explain the situation and complain about receiving the nasty email and not receiving an answer to my email. The answers I get are the they have no control over the emails that their computer sends out and that they can't always get through all the emails they get in a timely fashion. The representative said that she will escalate my issues to financing department and get back to me with a solution. After another three days of waiting, and not getting any answers, I tried my credit card again and this time was successful.

I was a seller and they they didn't pay me. I would not trust this fraud and scam company at all!!! As an artist I have lost several pieces without compensation. Don’t buy and don’t sell via Catawiki anything!!!

I wonder how it is possible for me to be denied absolutely all the artworks for 2 months now, by a single expert. I started selling my paintings in February and I think I had a very good start, with wonderful feedback from customers. Later, when this expert started repetitively refusing all my submitted paintings, I started to approach other styles and topics, taking into account that standard feedback that is sent when an object is rejected by this platform. The biggest dilemma I had was when 3 works already accepted, were eventually denied: 1. Lot NO. 56682881 - which was not paid by the winner of that auction (March 18th) and should have automatically entered the next appropriate auction. Please note that the 'Re-auction unpaid objects' option (which provides that "Any unpaid objects will automatically be added to the next applicable auction"), has been active since I made this account. 2. Lot NO. 57585007 and Lot NO. 57529275 (Closed in April 18th) - which I initially submitted with the price reserve, then, for as they did not reach this reserve, I submitted them again without a price reserve and they were rejected by the same expert, who had initially accepted them. I was informed by the site that these objects will no longer go through the evaluation process, following them to enter the next appropriate auction, as well as the lot NO. 56682881. Therefore, I thought that maybe it was an error, so I added these 3 works again and left a message for each, for the expert who was to receive them (same "expert"). In 30 minutes I received the classic email with the standard text for rejected items ...

extremely disappointed by their unprofessional behaviour. I purchased an item and paid my commission to catawiki. The artwork was not exactly as I thought and I sent it back with their authorization. The Seller claimed that it was damaged. Catawiki says I have to solve it directly with the Seller. The seller does not respond. I have never received my payment back. Catawiki has retained its commission. I was cheated

Awful buyer experience. Item won at auction, i promptly paid, i received no update from seller. Seller was obviously ot happy with hammer and never completed or communicated. Catawiki informed me after 10 days of waiting and asking questions, that they would refund me in another 10 days, they only provided me a partial refund. A complete sham platform when sellers are not more important to buyers, avoid at all costs

Awful experience. I registered on the site and bid on an auction which I won. I received an email conforming that I won at the auction and gave details how to pay the good. I transferred the funds and started waiting for further details from the seller. After receiving no follow up I wrote directly to the seller and got a mail from him informing me that the auction was a bug in the system and the item has been sold months ago!!! Immediately contacted Catawiki and submitted a claim. What was my surprise when on the next day I received an email from them that my profile is blocked??? Now the dispute continues with the support of my bank. Do not use Catawiki!!! You will be robbed!

The seller knows their lot well the expert does not.The expert's only job is to push down your reserve price ideally to no reserve at all just to get their couple of cents commission.A commercially minded expert would work for a higher price for both of you but not this bunch.Any questioning of their opinions is often met by childish spiteful conduct and an immediate ban of your lot. Also they don't read lot descriptions carefully or at all. This site was great a few years ago.Guess it's the curse of new management. This site won't be around too long so be mindful of any money they hold for you.Find an alternative. DO NOT BE BULLIED BY AN 'EXPERT'INTO LOWERING YOUR RESERVE. You will find your right price elsewhere. The site used to allow the seller 3 entries with a reserve now only 2 and in both cases the seller is bullied into lowering the price.Shortsighted.I had lots rejected immediately which were sold elsewhere. I had lots which weren't sold after the 2 permitted reserve price entries which sold elsewhere. Catawiki missed out . There are alternatives.

First of all, I bought a used Louis Vuitton bag via Catawiki which, instead of arriving in “max 21 days” took two months to get to my house. The seller had folded it so tightly that the creases are still in the bag. Catawiki’s response to both problems? “Nah, we don’t care.” Secondly, I’ve seen it happen multiple times that “no reserve price” items end up not selling because “final price too low”. That’s a straight-up scam. No reserve means NO reserve. Lastly, their UX is absolute garbage.

Dodgy platform. You need to hand over money and then wait for good to arrive. If it never arrives, as was in my case, you simply lost your money. Catawiki does not intervene and does not respond. Very shady platform - stay way from it

I bought an item from catawiki on 1/8, and still didn't receive the item yet. I reached out to the Catawiki support and they asked me to contact the seller directly. Again I contacted the seller ( Note: there is No FULL name about the seller since the catawiki supposed to be the dealer between the buyer and seller) . Again the seller doesn't response to any of my inquiry at all. Then I try contacting the seller via the seller's phone number as (17206694718) and left the seller message, still No REPLY. The seller did provide a tracking number. I went to the USPS to check with the tracker number. From the USPS report, the item was NOT even mailed to my address! What a SCAM ... I am not sure what is the next step? shall I file a losing item report with the police and asked them to track down who created that tracker number ? and/or file a police report for suing the seller and the catawik as the theft?
