“Presents made personal. Purchased from them and received email to say it had been dispatched and would be with me for 25th November.. On 27th November after not receiving I contacted Lauren who informed me that they were a few days behind and would be with me soon. I then received an email on 01/12/21 stating the product not in stock and didn't realise so would be a further delay of 2 weeks. When contacted to inform she had sent me a message with dispatch said thought it had but down to 1 member of staff. Clearly not dispatched so why notify me. Disgraceful,. Previously had fabulous experience with Etsy but this site and Lauren not professional at all and wouldn't recommend, disgraceful service.”
“I made an Etsy purchase last night. This morning, I had two $300 purchases that were not mine using my credit card. Etsy was of no help in resolving the issue. Luckily my bank got involved but I had to cancel this credit card. I won’t use Etsy again and I won’t recommend to anyone. I’m really frustrated this wasn’t a secure site and that Etsy did nothing to resolve the problem.”
“Etsy does not even deserve one star. My account was recently hacked and someone started a business selling under my login. I could not longer acces my account because they added a 2 factor authentication to an unknown number. I tried multiple times to contact Etsy. Their lack of concern is horrifying. Do not do business with them. It is not safe!”

“I bought a product twice worth 160 euro's and it got deducted from my account. I have proof of this but Etsy won't and can't help me with this. I need to handle it with the seller myself, not knowing that other people can sell items on Etsy without mentioning this. I contacted the seller and he denies receiving a penny and won't send me my order. I have to sort everything out myself.”
“I think Etsy should take a look at products price and accountability for it. As a customer, I have noticed that products are too pricey (not sure why, perhaps etsy charges the seller) on their site. On the other hand, if you look at other websites it is much reasonable. There is no customer service of Etsy at all. The sellers asking price feels like a rip off. Even though they claim, the products are handmade but I do not think that is quite right.”
“I contacted Carol at Carol H Designs who designs beautiful sterling silver and Swarovski Crystal jewelry. I had a concern about the "shade" of red bead for a bracelet that I was ordering. Carol immediately contacted me and displayed samples of the red beads for my approval. She then prepared a beautiful red/wine color crystal bead bracelet and included tiny silver interspersing beads and a lovely tiny red crystal dangling at end of the chain. Much care and love went into her work....and she followed up with me to ensure my satisfaction. It was a real delight working with Carol Designs at Etsy.”
“Please please listen to me, you get ZERO support, you NEVER get responses to your emails, NO answers whatsoever. If you do decide to open an etsy shop....never count on them start a website of your own then when they decide to suspend your shop all you hard work and money is not gone. Personally i thought this was the greatest thing since sliced bread, the harder i worked the more orders i got then out of nowhere i was suspended, no reason no email and it has been a entire week of emailing, calling , begging for help. Had i known what i have found out from digging on forums ect....i never would have trusted etsy and given them my money. I am not alone but i can not speak for others all i can say is stay away if this is your income”
“Etsy is just awful! Never recommend sellers to contact them! I tried to open a store with them at the beginning of September, it wasted a lot of time and effort. And the money that was not returned to me! in a month and a half, they blocked me 3 (!) times, just for logging in from another device. Where is it written in their rules that this cannot be done? All letters of support are answered by a robot, in the sense that "you violated our rules and we closed you forever"! and these are all explanations. I didn't break any rules! The last time I was never unblocked and the "managers" wrote the same thing, only with the postscript of their name! They don't even read letters! And no explanation is given! For comparison, just out of interest, I wrote to ArtFire technical support - I received the answer to the question in 15 minutes and to the second letter too! From a human, not a robot! It is immediately clear who is interested in clients and who is wiping their feet on us. Etsy will soon lose all sellers and go bankrupt. Guys, Etsy can't exist without us. It is we who, by our labor, give him profit and the opportunity to exist. There will be no us - there will be no Etsy either. I go to another site and advise you.”

They are just another greedy corporation profiting from vulnerable small business owners and their hard work.
I am currently on day SEVEN of not being able to access my own store due to an Etsy technical fault. Promised an email every day; and it never comes. Live chat? Don’t even bother. Copy and paste responses will come at you from all angles. Meanwhile, Etsy are still happily taking money from my account to spend on ads, without me being able to pause or cancel them. Nor can I respond to any customer messages, nor can I ship any orders. This is entirely Etsy’s fault, but will they care once the lack of dispatching causes numerous customer complaints, disputes raised against my store and fees taken without authorisation? Nope! But I’m sure they’ll be the first ones to suspend my account and have a good laugh at the negative reviews they caused!

• Pressured in to offering free shipping, with absolutely no financial support or incentives to do so. Not willing to take the cut which could essentially eat in to your entire profit margin? Bottom of the search ranks you go. (Same ridiculous fees though!)
• Atrocious levels of seller support, if any. Penalised and threatened by Etsy for falsely raised customer disputes, false copyright claims, and anything else anyone would consider unjustified.
• Disgustingly high fees, which are not properly communicated.
• Customer service? None existent. Accidentally kicked out of your seller platform due to a technical fault on Etsys part? Oh well, sucks to be you!
If you’re a buyer, please consider this when purchasing from a small business on Etsy. If you can, please visit their website directly to order. At least that way you know they’re not being exploited by this disgusting, greedy and selfish excuse for a company.”
