“Disappointing Service I ordered food and waited outside for 15 minutes, but the delivery never arrived. To make things worse, the app showed the order as “delivered,” even though I never received anything. There was no way to contact the driver directly to find out what happened, and the only way to reach Just Eat is by email, which takes several days to get a response. This level of service is frustrating and unacceptable when you’re hungry and waiting for food that never shows up. Very disappointing experience.”

“Delivery did not come! 2nd time this has happened to me! I wouldn't order from JUST EAT again they have no control over there drivers! Drivers are marking the orders as delivered when there NOT! If the driver couldn't find the address he/she could have called me, as my number is on the system! Spoke to the restaurant who have no clue who the drivers are! The drivers are only given the same order number, so its impossible to track the driver. There's no telephone number for JUST EAT so how are you supposed to resolve issues straight away! I no longer believe in JUST EAT or feel SAFE ordering with them if their driver cannot be tracked! I will not be using JUST EAT again!!! A better system needs to be put in place! Are the drivers legally employed!?”

“I ordered a birthday cake as a surprise through Just Eat, but the driver did not deliver it. I tried to contact customer service but couldn't find the number or email. After spending all afternoon in front of the screen, I finally managed to find a live chat, only to find out that they would not be able to help! I ended up with no money, no apologies, and a ruined birthday for my partner. Please avoid using this company! User's recommendation: Avoid at all costs!!!”

“Wrong items at lower costs received also stated no to something due to allergies, asked justeat to step in with photographic evidence which food needed to be thrown due to allergies to be informed you order at your own risk ...seriously stay away been with them 4 years then to be told this with no refund or help please don't use this service again.”

“Terrible Experience with Just Eat - Avoid at All Costs! I recently had an awful experience with Just Eat that I feel compelled to share. On September 4, 2024, I placed an order through the Greggs app, which led to the involvement of Just Eat for delivery. Despite providing all the necessary details—name, address, and phone number—the driver refused to deliver the food because the recipient didn't have the verification code. This was despite the fact that everything else matched, and I had made the order from another city. The driver even made the recipient come out twice, only to leave without handing over the food. To make matters worse, my attempts to contact Just Eat were met with shocking customer service. Both phone calls and chat support were dismissive, with agents closing chats before I could fully explain the situation. I even tipped the driver £5, which makes this whole experience even more infuriating. It’s not about the money—it's more about what happened with Just Eat. After this experience, I started asking more people, and it turns out everyone complains about their delivery service. I wonder if the owner of the company knows about this? I have witnesses—the recipient, the store, and a receipt that was given to the driver. Just Eat has failed to address this issue, and I am now out of pocket for a total of £13.53, which includes the cost of the order and the tip. This kind of service is unacceptable, and I urge others to think twice before using Just Eat. I will be sharing my experience widely to warn others.”

“Ordered food and after waiting past the delivery time, checked on it, only to see it was apparently delivered! I have not received my food and am now £50 out of pocket. You cannot call anyone and only email. Pathetic service. If I don't get a full refund, I will be taking this further.”

“STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS DISGUSTING AND DISGRACEFUL COMPANY. I ORDERED SOME DRINKS FROM ASDA TO BE DELIVERED AT MY ADDRESS. THE MAP WAS SHOWING THE DRIVER LEFT THE STORE. HE WAS THEN SHOWING AS CLOSE TO MY PROPERTY. THE MAP WAS THEN SHOWING ORDER DELIVERED. THE DRIVER DID NOT DELIVER THE ORDER. I HAVE CCTV AND RING BELL TO PROVE NO DELIVERY DRIVER CAME TO MY ADDRESS. JUST EAT HAVE REFUSED TO REFUND ME.”

“The delivery was far too slow and the food ruined. We fed it to the dogs (as that’s all it was fit for) and requested a refund. The offered a partial refund which I wasn’t happy with as the food from a known vender was delivered inedible”

“Crappy. I waited 92 minutes for an order and then it was canceled for no reason and then too late to order anything else. According to the shop it was an estimated 25 to 40 minutes wait and that never changed the whole time. Plus they took my money and now I have to wait a week for a refund. I tried the new AI Chatbot which told me a driver had been allocated. So a complete lie. JustEat are sh1t.”

“Utter dog sh-it. Live chat is not easy to find. Very bad service. Scammed me out of £11 (if you cancel your order after 5 minutes just eat will take your money LOL). I will never ever use Just Eat again, and neither will my family be using them. Absolute d1ckhead company”

“I'm a restaurant partner. Complete waste of time, cannot get hold of the area manager even after calling him many times and leaving messages. 34% goes to them when they do your deliveries which is ridiculous. Bad service all round even when you sign up get 100 call centers from India ringing the business number 20 times a day. Don't bother with these platforms”

“A very bad/ poor experience with them. Ordered food on a Saturday the good was never delivered. Contacted Restaurant no resolution. Contacted Just Eat customer complaints, the first two agents were rude and cut me off the chats. The 3rd one logged a complaint and I got a reply later from Stephen stating that he's not going help me as it's beyond his powers.No refund he even said he won't be entertaining anymore of my emails. I just checked their Facebook profile, pathetic service from Just Prob”

“Food was not delivered and they’re refusing to refund, or tell me the grounds for not refunding. I have communicated with them via Chat, email and their “partner service line” as the one for customers suggests you go to the app/website and then cuts you off. The partner phone line people were kind, but unable to help. I am housebound, so cannot go out and find something else to eat. I am tired, very hungry, stressed and have had my pocket picked by them. Their customer service is appalling, and the phrase “morally bankrupt” keeps popping into my head.”

“Set of robbing scumbags, I have taken this to consumer rights. My husband ordered a kfc today for 5.30 before he went out. I came home and the food arrived 15 minutes late and was flat cold and only an 8 piece boneless bucket meal to feed a family of 4 I complained to Just Eat, little did I know that my husband had ordered the 8 piece in error instead of the 12 piece but the fact remained that the food was freezing cold. I had to REHEAT CHICKEN to feed my family. Over 2 hours later just eat contacted me for PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE and because I couldn't they refused to resolve the matter... Stay away from this bunch of thieves. I have deleted the account and will be dealing with this legally as they have breached consumer rights. This is the response I got. “If I could rate it zero stars, I would have done so. This delivery experience and customer service were the worst I've ever had. Despite confirming delivery to my address, the order was delayed. When I contacted the restaurant, they refused to deliver it. Just Eat declined to issue a refund, insisting the restaurant must authorize it. Even though the restaurant confirmed they had authorized it several times and requested Just Eat to call them back, the support team kept closing the chat without resolution, claiming they couldn't initiate a refund. It's clear they are cheaters, thieves, and scammers. I've found thousands of reviews describing similar situations online. Do not use this app!”
