“Low prices. Low prices and low prices. The Lidl plus card not that good poor quality special offers.mostly high sugar and fat content. After about 6 failed scratch card tries I " won" 50p off vile spicy š„ Donkey š meat. I generally shop late in evening when there's no morons. Staff very pleasant. York has 2 Lidl and 2 Aldi and always save money compared to the big 3. As mentioned by others always check freshness of fruit and vegetables as rough handling can bruise items. All in all I'm very happy with Aldi and their wide range of products.”
“As a staff member and writing on behalf of staff we 100% agree with the customers Area Manager Beth Grundy is absolutely an awful person and manager, yes she speaks down to people, yes she does swear and yes she is scary looking, for an older aged woman she should have respect for others, always in the canteen with her mouth full, come on Lidl bosses, higher up please do something about her, if she is upsetting staff and customers then do something. “I bought two packs of Eden tonic water, both packs had leaking cans, some which didn't leak were only part full and some full but no fizz. About half we're okay.

“Had a lovely shop today, wonderful bargains as usual, was busy, shop floor staff were friendly and helpful as usual but the only quarm I have is why that manager is still in your stores and still working, her name is Beth Grundy like many customers have complained about her, she is awfully rude to the staff and has a loud potty mouth. I like your stores Lidl but come on do something about her, and I Agata is a lovely manager, minus 1 star for that horrible manager for her attitude towards staff.”
“Agree with the customer below i did see the encounter with customer and the manager below " Beth Grundy" an older looking woman with big glasses, yes she was very rude to customer, she shouldn't be allowed to work for Lidl she wasn't even polite to staff! But on the whole apart from this manager spoiling your company, your staff are amazing, your stores are clean and tidy and your products are amazing and brilliantly priced, I would give you 5 stars but I have to give 1 because this peculiar looking manager " Beth Grundy" spoilt it and lowered the tone.”
“Was looking to speak to a manager, I saw a 40+ mature looking lady and asked are you the store manager well what came out of her mouth was shocking her eyes widened at me through her glasses and growled " No I am not I am higher up and can not help you" I ask for her name and she growled " Beth" I asked " Beth who" she barked " Beth Grundy and head office will not help you". Wow Lidl you are scraping the bottom of the barrel with this manager, surely you could do better, your stores and floor staff are brilliant but management you need to really restructure cause this lady was really scary looking and unapproachable.”
“I picked up a tin of paint which had a hole in it the paint went on my clothes and skin, when I brought this to the attention of a stores assistant she told me to email Lidl customer services which I did and all that happened is stalling action by Lidl continually asking for the same information. Would not shop there again”
“Called into your Newcastle store Co Down this morning, at eight and the store was not open. I accept that was my fault for not checking opening hours. So I went online and it said 11 till seven. Drove round and some other cars were also waiting, two staff came and walked past my car. Opened shutters and went in. Other cars were arriving as I waited nearly eleven a staff member told me that the store was not opening until one I told him, it said online eleven. To which he replied it times were up on the door and I informed him , itās hard to see the door when the shutters are down. “Lidl's Aldershot, Hampshire branch. Firstly, I must praise the store Manager Kripa - 5-stars. That's why I am prompted to post. Hardly ever spoke to her before. On 10.08.2021, she handled brilliantly an issue I had: calmly, politely listened, and then she logically addressed it, working with me, proving it was not related to the store or Lidl. That was very important. I have been shopping there since it opened. Never had to shop elsewhere if I could get the product quality and price there. ONLY after 3-4 weeks of no deliveries to the store, today I went and purchased bleach 2L elsewhere. Other staff I spoke to earlier on the matter have been good too. 17 or 18.08.2019, another member of staff evidently had 'clocked off' but still stopped to help me. A few years ago I saw someone doing a very diligent job, prompting me to say, "Where is the Manager when you need one?", meaning to see her do such a good job. Back came the reply, "I am the Manager." She is still there. Sorry, I can't post my name.”
“Purchased BBQ pork rib rack! Didn't realize it would need 1 and half hours cooking, then a further 20min !!! And still another 10 minutes before serving. After all that serves 3 people. Your having
a laugh hardly enough for two. Come on Lidl bin this product.”
“I purchased a quiche Lorraine yesterday, as I always do when doing my shop, they are usually delicious. However, on this occasion they were full of lumps of fat - disgusting. Standards are dropping. The staff & service is good, but it's the food that's letting lidl down.”
