“Purchased a 'Canon' camera and was a bit concerned because of the reviews and because it was £100 less than UK suppliers. I knew that it was likely to come from USA so was amazed to have it delivered within 48 hours by FedEx on free delivery! I hadn't even elected for fast delivery.
Only negative was the confirmation email stated that they had tried to call me - (not true) - and asked me to phone them to process the order. (Why?!) When I phoned I spoke to a very polite American who attempted to sell me a battery for £20 which I declined. He confirmed that the camera would now be posted - unbelievably it arrived within two days from the USA. All exactly as ordered complete with UK plug and charger. Set for PAL video. Was able to register the serial number with Canon on line.
I won't hesitate to use them again.”
“Ordered twice with them in a short space of time and generally not disappointed with speed of international delivery. Would have however liked to complete the whole order process online and not have to phone to confirm the order. But, that kind of makes room to add a personal touch I guess”

“I requested, in writing, cancellation of an order, within minutes of placing it, as I understand I am legally entitled to do.
They ignored my cancellation request and instead emailed me, stating they couldn't process my order unless I phoned them.
I sent them another email, with a copy of the cancellation request.
They then sent me a nonsensical reply, stating that the order would take 48 hours to process.
Less than 5 hours later, they've emailed to say my order has shipped.
And they've charged my credit card too.
I'm now going to need to wait for the item to be delivered, return it and raise a dispute with my credit card company, all because of their childish refusal to acknowledge a simple cancellation request.
What a complete waste of everyone's time!”
“I must admit this turned out to be a nervous purchase for number of reasons. Firstly their website suggests they have a base in Britain but calls to the London area number are diverted to the USA. After placing the online order I received a text to phone them where I was duped into buying a higher rated battery. To be fair though after discovering this they dispatched my order by express mail but from New Jersey. This does beg the question of warranty should the need arise.
The good news is that the package arrived within 48 hours and is complete.
In my opinion SLRHut urgently needs to look seriously at their advertising strategy and create a positive UK outlet so as to instill better confidence with prospective buyers.
Would I make further purchases from them? Yes if the above concerns are addressed.”
“The price point of this company is fantastic but I have to say everything else doesn't match up.
I made a decent order on a Wednesday and was told it would be here Monday with the express shipping I had paid for, yet still hadn't even been shipped by Monday. I made inquiries with customer service, after four attempts and being on hold for over an hour, and was told it was completely out of stock. Later that day (to my amazement) it was dispatched once I said I may cancel the order. Have been informed my shipping will be refunded to me but once again I'm on hold to customer services and expect to be for at least an hour before getting through.
If you're prepared for the likelihood of a bit of hassle for the cheap payment then use SLRHUT, if you're not then don't!”
