First of all VS have many problems with their system. When I first joined, the system won’t let me upload my profile pics, so it took them 2 months to fix it, then the system won’t let me reduce my price. A side of that some of my items price are changed without my consent. And it’s getting worse when their curated “expert” team refused my certified authentic bags. Then I learned their curated expert team are lacking of training and knowledges. So they accepted the fakes and refused the authentic items. Once the incompetent refused it, and you re-list with all the prove of the authencity, they will refused it again because the lazy “expert” team won’t bother to double check. Oh I forgot because they are french company (which famous for 3 hrs lunch break), they will be protected by french association so whenever something wrong happens, they won’t liable for anything. just try to contact their very unprofessional customer service, they will never give you any solution just lead you in circle or leave you hanging. So I learned Vestaire Collective is all about take all the money, spend less (old and never upgrade their system, customer service incompetent, their authentication team incompetent) and run away when customer complaints. Bravo!

A corrupt business :bought 2 pair of shoes, paid their auth fees but got 2 wrong shoes. VC forced me to pay both return shipping costs, after returning the 2 shoes in one package, they claim only 1 pair was received then weeks of arguing VC asking for handwritten docs, auto respnses etc. they refuse to refund and said to deal with it through my bank. Dont trust the 5 star reviews. SITE IS FULL OF FAKES!!! https://www.trustpilot.com/review/fr.vestiairecollective.com?b=MTYyMjY2MTY5NDAwMHw2MGI3ZGEzZWY5ZjQ4NzBhOT

After 3 months I did not get paid. And it was so easy to check that the sold item was delivered. After many emails I sent to the VC I got a pretty rude respond not to bother them again with the same subject. Any idea how to protect my rights?

I brought some Gucci shoes that I wore for 5 minutes and the entire sole came off. If I’d been walking down stairs I could of had a terrible accident. VC told me that they will do nothing beyond 72 hours (they were delivered to Italy and I was in london so I wore the shoes for the first time 25 days later). Upon reviewing the photo on VC closely you can see where the shoes had been broken previously on the heal (I thought it was merely a scratch). The seller is still active, VC have said they will do nothing, this company has no duty of care or empathy for its buyers! Shop with extreme caution or via eBay as they support buyers way more!

Absolute scam - I bought an item from Vestiaire and then immediately re-listed it upon receipt since it was not as expected. I then get told by Vestaire that it cannot be sold since it is non compliant, however I bought the bag from them!!! How is this even possible? The customer service is absolutely shocking and it is impossible to get into contact with a real person.

This site is lying to you, I sold an item via direct shipping, since direct shipping makes me a bit uncomfortable, I always take pictures of the item with the label, right before I send it, this was recommended by the "customer service" (if you can call it that) so somebody complains that the item was damaged and full of dog hairs, which is absurd since I do not even own a pet. I was able to send the pictures to VC, they agreed with me and told me the buyer is sending the item to them and I will be paid. I feel more relaxed, now I get an email that I am not going to get paid and if they should send the item back to me or relist it (mind you apparently after the buyer damaged the item). See attached screen shots. Additionally they send out an email that you have to confirm the availability of your items or they will get deleted, but then send a link that doesn't work. Reaching out to the customer service, it is ridiculous, they don't know what is going on, they can't confirm that the items stay available, they claim that the link works (checking on forums, seems a lot of people go a link that doesn't work). Beware, Vestiaire Collective are lying to you and you risk your item being damaged. They seem to have some low skilled and low paid idiots working for them who don't read or understand, and if they give you something in writing, you can't rely on it at all.

I had a Chanel Puffer Jacket Item Number 16110734-order number 39389273- that came from customs Monday May 24, DHL was contacted by me to arrange for delivery to my business address well in advance, because of the pandemic we close the office at 4 pm daily. I called DHL with my waybill number to make certain to provide them the office hours in advance and to provide my cell phone number to sign for the package and to make certain I was the only authorized signer. The package was put on the truck Tuesday, May 25th. Wednesday May 26, the package is stating delivered on Vestiare Collective's app. , I didn't receive my jacket, I didn't sign for my jacket and DHL didn't deliver my jacket, so I called them and a gentlemen said all three of my email addresses do not match up and I am not a customer of them. I stated I purchased a Chanel Puffer coat for a lot of money and I provided the order number, he could not find me by the order number or the tracking number from DHL, he could not find me by my name. My email on the app. is a privatized email I do not understand, nor did I provide, nor is it mine. He asked me to submit some documents, which I did and I have not heard from them in five days, I have not heard from or seen DHL. I am out a ton of funds. Please please do not purchase anything from this company ,w hen I went to do a simple task like print my invoice for my bank, I could not do that. They keep it under lock and key. I am horrified at how this company has treated me, the lack of proper business protocols and processes, the lack of response. Earlier in the week, when I did speak to the rep, he stated if and when an investigation takes place it will be done by DHL and if DHL finds they did not deliver the jacket, DHL will reimburse me, the issue is it says my jacket is delivered on the app. I am sure they are not honest business people. Do not deal with this company, steer clear away from them. Shop anywhere else.

DO NOT USE THIS SITE!!!! Bought a Rolex for over $4000 and the "authentication process" took double the 4 day max they tell you. Then they shipped me a box with plastic black rings instead of my Rolex. There is not customer support phone number, only chat and email. They are not helpful and will not cancel orders ever. Do not use the site, ever. If they will lose a $4000 Rolex, nothing is safe with these people.

I sold an item on the 1st of May, from the UK to Greece, Vestiaire told me I simply need to pack and attach the label, everything else being taken care of, turns out Vestiaire charged the buyer the import duties and VAT but didn't pay them. DHL needs those documents, reaching out to Vestiaire customer service is hopeless, they tell me to simply tell DHL that they paid it, DHL said no record of it, they refuse to get in touch with DHL, my item is stuck in customs. I am begging Vestiaire to please provide documentation - they won't. It is incredible and it is the worst customer service I have ever encountered. Their staff seems to be unable to read or lie to you flat out ("We paid, just tell DHL to deliver" - because that will work with customs). I had to use DHL as Vestiaire provides the label, I have no idea if I get my item back, DHL absolutely needs proof of payment for customs, which I don't have as the buyers pay Vestiaire, yet Vestiaire refuses flat out to contact DHL. Don't sell your items with them, you might simply lose them and they get destroyed by customs!!!!!! And yes, VC claimed that all duties were paid... Please see attached screenshots

Constantly spamming newsletters into my email box. AND i did not subscribe. I have communicated NUMEROUS times, and they still spam newsletter. PLUS. there are false advertisement on the website. check out this listing: https://www.vestiairecollective.com/women-clothing/coats/non-signe-unsigned/chinchilla-non-signe-unsigned-coat-13057886.shtml Reference: 13057886 It's a cheap rex rabbit (chinchilla)coat, but the seller says it's chinchilla. The price difference can be ten times more. The seller outragely LIE about the product and mislead customers and it's still allowed on the website. VC don't have the expertise to check authencitity of the item.

Customer service, inept, and unwilling to deal correctly when things go wrong. I have been a seller and a buyer on this platform and three times I have complained about errors in pricing. For example, negotiating and accepting an offer, confirmed by email, only to find that Vestiaire the. lowers the sale price, I presume they adjust according to exchange rate variables, this is unacceptable, the bottom line is, they short pay and refuse to rectify same. They did say this would be rectified and then backtracked after item shipped to buyer. Multiple emails to multiple agents, all with vague responses. This company is untrustworthy. You cannot buy with confidence, and, you cannot sell and trust that they will pay you the correct amount. AVOID THIS PLATFORM.

AVOID AVOID! What more can I say? All the negative reviews posted here are true, I’ve experienced most of the issues. Selling & shopping should be joyful, at VC it often turn out to be very stressful & frustrating! Listen VC, without us (the sellers & buyers) your platform is nothing! You are arrogant, treating us dishonestly & disrespectfully will eventually push us all away!

Buyer got my Chanel bag for free when VC automatically cancelled my sale after 4 days. Buyer has got the refund and the bag now. She refuses to pay nor VC acknowledges any fault. I’m down a $9000 limited edition Chanel bag. Had sold over $50,000 worth of items with VC with no problem until now. They’ve charged over 30% commission on that which is ridiculous. This company is pretty the definition of a French economy. Lazy, all they care about is easy money.

I just wanted to warn anyone considering selling on this platform. After selling for 20+ years on various websites (eBay, Etsy, Grailed, Poshmark), I can say with confidence that Vestiaire Collective is the worst due to the following reasons: 1. You hafta take all new photos to resell. Your listing can still be rejected for no good reason whatsoever; 2. Offers aren’t binding. Buyers can just make Offers without following through and there’s absolutely no consequences on their end; 3. Items have to be sent, by FedEx, to their HQ in NYC. A bit of a hassle that further delays the selling process; 4. Items can still be rejected with no real proof/explanation. I’m not talking about fake items, but I just received an email with “alterations” as the reason, but my item has never been altered; 5. ZERO customer service. The extent of their customer service is email. Their chat is automated. No phone number whatsoever. Overall, it’s just a waste of time for Sellers. They make Sellers jump through hoops just to get their listing up, then seem to do whatever they can to prevent the sale from happening. Very strange set-up.

I used to think VC was a pretty good place to buy and sell products, and I picked up some good things there. I never bought or sold very expensive designer products, as I didn't trust it that much. But since Brexit, as a UK seller, things have gone downhill so much. I had to really push to get help on customs documents, which they should provide automatically, and they've had rows with DHL so it's sometimes been hard to send stuff using their labels. Most recently I had to contact DHL to arrange shipping, and they said they have LOADS of calls about VC problems, and that VC are using an old system that is obsolete. Is this what a professional company does?! And what is more, since Brexit VC claim that it's not possible for UK sellers to sell kids-wear or other products like glasses... they say they'll sort it, but it's been months, so I can't shift half my inventory. Most recently an item has been stuck for some reason, no idea if it's customs or what, as no information given. For the whopping fee they charge on sellers, I expect better. The customer service is pretty poor, passing buck or saying they'll get back later. And the standard of English is so bad that it's almost unintelligible. I'm already selling on other platforms, think I'll leave until VC gets its act together. I liked selling on VC because it was easy, but with all the problems I'm having what is the point?

To SELLER—be aware To SELLER—be aware, please check Vestiaire commission on your items regularly! Vestiaire overcharged their commission on my 7 new listings I posted about 20 days ago, after several emails to CS their technical experts replied & insisted nothing wrong (they keep lying as usual). I decided to take the matter to the Hong Kong Consumer Council, with HKCC’s involvement Vestiaire CS finally admitted they overcharged me and said their technical experts will have the mistakes corrected. I asked CS how this could happen, do Vestiaire charge commission as much as they want & not following their commission guidelines? Couple of days have passed, nothing happen/corrected, I will give them a few more days, will keep you guys updated! ——————————————————-——- To BUYER— I suspect there are internal dealings within Vestiaire. I bought a very rare jacket at super good price, I was excited & looking forward to receive it. The seller confirmed to me she had shipped the jacket to V Paris, but it didn’t show in the system, eventually my order was cancelled & I was refunded. The suspicious thing is the seller told me later she was paid, so who has my extremely rare jacket? ———————————————————-— Another CASE A buyer offered me 48usd for a McQueen pullover, despite I’m happy my 500usd pullover go to a new home I don’t want to pay the 17usd fixed commission. I explained to the buyer, I would appreciate 51usd so I only need to pay 10% commission to V instead of the fixed 17 (51-200usd = 10% commission). I was amazed seeing our chart messages were deleted about 30 seconds later. Buyer agreed and bought it at 51, when the pullover arrived V’s HK office their experts informed me they found the length of the pullover was 1cm short from what I described. They proposed to the buyer a few usd reduction, at the end I was charged 17usd commission 😡 Vestiaire used to be good, I have been shopping there since 2014 and started selling about 5 months ago. Their services are going downhill the past 9 months, I just hope the Kering investment would bring V back to a decent platform once again!
