I bought a 1kg lasagna on the 31/10/25 at the Southgate mall Johannesburg and I was so disappointed as I heard it was the best on the Anele show on 94.7, so I had a little extra money to spoil myself and my hubby this month only when I opened it 1stly there was almost no cheese on it so I added more cheddar cheese think that was just a factory issue , then I popped in the over and 35 Min later it smelled Devine only when we ate it was overloaded with sauce and hardly any cheese or mince in it and the tamoto sauce tasted like it came from a jar as the was a slight sour taste and there was hardly any seasoning on it, the Woolworths lasgne is overrated and it was so disappointing as we cannot always afford nice things and the time I had a little extra, I wanted to have a nice experience with my hubby it ended being a bust . I initially visited the Woolworths store near South Beach to purchase two lamps. As they were not available in-store, I was advised to place the order online. I did so using my South African number (data-only) and confirmed my hotel address for delivery. I also added a special instruction requesting that the items be left at the hotel reception, and I informed the hotel staff to expect the delivery. Since I was travelling back to my country soon, I paid an additional R75 for express delivery. However, the order never arrived. The tracking status showed “out for delivery” and later “incorrect address,” even though the address was correct. I contacted the help line multiple times: On the first day, I was told the courier would be advised. On the second day, the first operator put me on hold for over 20 minutes and then disconnected. When I called again, the same thing happened with a second operator. On my third attempt, an operator named Louisa was very helpful. She called me back and suggested that, given the urgency, I go directly to the warehouse to collect the package. I travelled to the warehouse myself but was not told who to contact. After considerable inconvenience, I eventually located the Skynet office and managed to collect my order. This entire experience was extremely disappointing, especially considering that I paid for express delivery.

I ordered rocket on Woolies dash which said it was washed but was infested with bugs. Took the time out to send an email on the 11th October 2025 to Woolies with no response to date. Now sat for 15 mins on a call with Woolworths call Centre only to be asked to do the whole process again . I'm really put off Woolworths, their customer service is pathetic. Absolutely archaic systems who interrogate their customers rather than solving the problem. Shopping on Pick and Pay is a dream... All queries are on the app and resolved rapidly. No need for calls and wasting their customers time.

Woolworths please do something better about security of yours being black it doesn't mean we criminals they make us feel uncomfortable they check how u dress and assume u and judge u then they will follow u the whole shop serious do something and train them well coz it's annoying

Your App is the worst ever! Having got the App and registered etc etc moths ago I am now being asked to register again! I am unable to type in my email address and therefore can go no further. I am diasappointed in such bad service from a company who prides itself on perfection. All I hear from people is how bad the App is! Wake up! There is no excuse in this day and age to have a bad App.

The mobile app is very disappointing. It crashes frequently, especially when I try to check in-store stock for an item. I deleted and reinstalled it, thinking the issue was with my phone, that wasn’t the case. Really let down by the experience

Woolworths app is the worst to use. Most times it’s got an OOPS sorry problem, very unuserfriendly app, constantly asking gor updates and login details. Worst app.

Worst customer experience with the app!!! There is always items out of stock and you are not notified while they are adding the items, they don’t even replace the items, cannot track the shopping as the app never works and you wait hours for your order! Will not order from Woolies again! Worst experience! Checkers60 is absolutely amazing and reliable!

i have been reporting since Saturday that i was charged R900 for southernfried chicken instead of the price on the item.of R94. It seems that the urgency of this refund is not important to your business. Im still waiting for my refund. If any of my other payments bounce are you paying my bank charges?

Terrible customer service. Both times i had a bad experience with woolies dash, first time i paid and was invoices for 4 items and only 3 were sent, after contacting woolies customer care several times nothing was done about it, not was i refunded nor given the missing items. Second time i was sent rotten yoghurts, which my kids ate and got sick after eating them, also nothing was done after i called them and told them what happend, not even a email with an apology, nothing, no acknowledgement at all. I rather buy from checkers, much more reliable and customer care is great. Woolies should learn from them. Wont be purchasing again from woolies for sure. Thank you

Unacceptable. The mobile app, whose funtionalty is so far below par, let alone, against the "Woolworths standard". The call center agent was also unable to answer basic questions, and lacked the nous to understand: when you're assisting with a mobile app issue, don't advise on navigation applicable to use of the web interface.... One of a a few here. Despite her shortcomings, I felt sorry for her, as she's assisting with a product that is known for its failure on myriad delivery outcomes. Setting your staff up for failure is demoralising, to say the least. The quality of telecomms also was a negative contributing factor. Woolworths, for the values, quality, integrity, standards and prices you preach/maintain, this is a failure. Surely, you have access to the internal and/or external resources that can deliver an app with the required functionalty 99.99%? If you did a survey of a sample set of your customer base that has been forced to find an alternative, albeit, "second-prize" online supplier, I'm sure the loss of sales on that alone would be material. I'm not accounting for long-term losses, brand deteriration impacts, etc. You need to do better.

I applied for a secondary card for my son at the Chatsworth branch.I was told that my son would be able to pick it up as I work abroad.There was no communication since June.When my son went to find out it was mentioned that there was a dispatching issue and he has to reapply when I am there.I have emailed Woolworths customer service regarding this issue and I have not received any response.Absolutely disappointing service from Woolworths .

Absolutely disgusting service and attitude. 2 x lamb and dessert not packed. Called help centre twice, after full detail confirmation I get cut off and then transferred to another agent. After demanding an explanation they say out of stock. Why is a no note placed in the bags. Why is no email reply sent back to say out of stock.? When will the values be refunded? Why do they use those useless weak paper bags that always tear open dropping the delivery all over your driveway. Mr Boss man of Woolies Foods, DASH and your delivery departments are stuffing up your reputation big time . Take some action.

Only gave 1 star because didn't provide a 0 or minus numbers Payment issues due to no verification functioning. Tried 2 cards from different banks. Slow slow slow Telephone assist poor App looks messy, cluttered, lack logic in design and unappealing. The whole experience has shattered my confidence in Woolworths digital and financial services.

Customer service was absolutely shocking. Every person I spoke to over the phone was incredibly rude and dismissive. Half my order was incomplete on the woolies app, so I asked for a cancellation and refund — and they simply refused. After speaking to FOUR different people, we finally reached someone who seemed like they might help, but she was just as rude and unhelpful as the rest. Now we’ve been told we have to wait up to 7 business days for a refund — if it even comes. This level of service is unacceptable and honestly embarrassing for a brand like Woolworths. Very disappointing.
