“Overall very good quality product well made and sturdy. Only negative is that some of the wood on the fence pieces and on the front section by the windows was very rough and would have benefitted from proper planing or sanding. As it was a child's playhouse I could not leave it rough so had to spend time doing this. Had this been done by the manufacturer I would have given it a full 5 stars.”
“I ordered the walk around greenhouse. It has now been assembled and I am happy with the overall finished product. However the finishing of the separate items was not what I expected. There were very rough finishing on all doors where the cutting had splintered and was an eye sore. Many sections of the internal door structures did not fit snugly, had jagged edges, and gaps so I have had to use filler to ensure rain does not penetrate.
Overall with the modifications I have made I am happy with it but it took a lot of work to attain the finished product I expected on purchase.
Items were missing but they have since been sent via posting and it is now complete.”
“THE SERVICE FROM ELBEC WAS VERY GOOD AS FAR AS DELIVERY WAS CONCERNED.
HOWEVER, THE SHED PURCHASED IS ABSOLUTE RUBBISH AND A WASTE OF OVER £1,000. THE TONGUED AND GROOVED PANELS HAVE BEEN ASSEMBLED BY A BLIND MORON, AS THE TONGUES IN SEVERAL CASES ARE 1/4 INCH AWAY FROM THE GROOVE, NOTHING IS SQUARE AND IT COST ME AN EXTRA £300 FOR A BUILDER TO TRY AND REINFORCE THE STRUCTURE.

“Overall the shed is quite good value for money, considering how much the prices have risen.
Good points-
All hardware included, screws, fixings, brackets, locks etc.
Nice pieces of wood to trim the corners.
Easy to put together.
Bad points-
Frame is made of cheap batons which easily warp if you leave the shed about a week or two before putting together.
Roof panels are only 9mm osb, not very strong as you need to get on top to fix the felt etc. Also roof panels barely big enough, virtually zero overlap front and back of walls.
Roof strut in middle not same angle as ends meaning roof drops in the middle, so the felt wrinkles.
Doors shrunk or not wide enough to start with, 15-20mm gap.”
“We ordered a metal shed. No response for a couple for weeks and then I rang to see what was going on. The lady on the phone sorted it out so that was great and the shed turned up a few days later. Shed was fine and is up and looking great. However, the metal "base" which I ordered with it turned out to be just a few lengths of flimsy bent metal with no instructions, no fittings to put them together and no discernible purpose, given that as the shed is floorless you have to put it on a concrete base. Bit of a waste of money that. So all in all, a bit mixed.”
“Elbec we're absolutely fine to deal with. However the forest Whitby Arch was tricky to construct due to slightly warped wood and a very poor join at one of the dowel and due to a knot. Not sure how this passes quality control. Manged to be creative and circumnavigate this issue, but not great considering price.”
“delivery was excellent i did think the greenhouse could have made the roof fittings better the the little black plastic pieces that hold the styrene sheets in place coulds be designed better as the sheets of styrene only just about fit all the sectiones an the roof sheets where these black fitting are in place are very flimsy . I have made my own adjustments to these and now very pleased with finished greenhouse.”
“Some parts are wrong sizes as per installers. As well as some boards having split sections which have now been glued and cramped, this was as reported by the team due to the nail gun settings.”
“Received my garden arch within the quoted timeframe. Quality was pretty good though there was a small split in one of the frames which I was able to deal with. It’s a nice addition to our garden.”
“ok, although i stated delivery on the 4th of june, i heard no confirmation on delivery, had to ring as i stayed in that day, and was told delivery was delayed until the 5th? yes it turned up very early thankfully, the delivery driver was very polite and accomodating ,,all seems to be ok at the moment, as the instructions shows 8x6 front to back rather than left to right, yes panels can be interchange? hopeully the roof can be also, not erected anything as yet, only base”
“Whilst we are really pleased with our potting shed and the service that Elbec provided the few issues that we expererienced dropped the score from excellent to good. When order arrived the door was incorrect, we ordered a stable door and received a damaged full door. Customer Service at Elbec were really on the ball however, Shire let them down. The first time the delivery was timed for 8am - 12pm and the delivery arrive at 3 pm but in their defence the driver was brilliant, it was the deliveries prior to us that had caused the issue. When the correct stable door was was due to be delivered we were given a date but had to check with Elbec what was being delivered and, we were not informed what time slot hd been allocated to us. The delivery time however was sent to us on the morning of delivery 8am - 12pm and it arrived at about 10 am. So now happy customers. What a shame that we didn't feel that and excellent score was possible as we are really pleased now with our potting shed.”
