My husband and I built a deck at our trailer this summer. We have some left over wood that we tried to return to Peterborough. It's only a couple hundred bucks. We could not find our receipt. Our return was denied at the store. Apparently you have to get a Return authorization report (RAR) if this happens. Customer service told me I would get this form in a couple of days. After a week I called back, and another Customer service lady told me to get it myself online. I did get the form (it was not a couple of days) and sent it back to customer service. Customer service sends it somewhere for approval, and the approval gets sent back to customer service who eventually sends it to you. Today I'm now at the beginning of week 5. I got a return "approval" on October first. The message said "inform the customer they have the ability to make this return within 72 hours from today through to Sept 25th." WHAT? So, I can return it within a time window (horribly inconvenient) but the joke is I didn't get the approval until 6 days after my return window is closed. It has now got sent back for approval again! I have all of this documented in emails. It’s ridiculous.

Ordered a multi-tool online from Home Depot and it gave me an estimated delivery between Sept 20-22. The delivery tracker from Home Depot says it is almost delivered but the tracking details thru UPS say that it hasn't even been given to them. I can't switch my order to pick-up and who knows when it will actually be delivered. Been trying to talk to a Home Depot Associate on their website for over an hour and still not connected to an agent. Very very unsatisfied with this service. I need this tool as it is holding up a few projects at my home and had I known that it would take over 2 weeks to be delivered then I would have just picked it up. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FROM HOME DEPOT.

Terrible ongoing trouble with Home Depot Canada, Customer Care. I purchased a washer dryer set from Home Depot Yorkdale. Their installer arrived before the delivery date. Rescheduling would take a week. On delivery, my hardwood floor and hall doorway was damaged. Home Depot trying to pass the buck. Because of the delay in the installation, Home Depot you'd me to hire my own installer and they would reimburse me. It is now two months and the 'cheque is in the mail'. Customer Care does not return my emails or phone messages. Buyer beware.

Bought a garage door thru online order from a store 3 hours away as local store was sold out. Phoned store to arrange for a courier to pick up door and was ignored. Phoned back in an hour and this time I was told they did not even have any in stock (they did not think), so I was to wait until they phoned me. They 'Might' have let a contractor tag them with no payment. Never heard from them again until order was cancelled by email 4 days later. Imagine a store not knowing if they have a 10 foot by 3 foot box in inventory! Moncton NB store

It use to be a place where you could find someone who knew how to find what you needed but the staff may as well have never seen a hammer they have such non-existent knowledge on how things work.

Home Depot store may be ok but their card services are horrible. Dont use you card for 2 years and they will cancel it on you with no notification. Super handy to find this out when needing to purchase a washer and dryer. Their only solution reapply for credit....screw that will take my business else where.

Do not buy hardwood flooring online from Homedepot. First, they changed the hardwood floors I bought online. I order a given brand and color (Optiwood waterproof hardwood cognac) engineered hardwood and they sent me something else chipper (Wellmade hardwood) without any notice of the change. Second, I called Home depot online and after my called they matched the product I bought with the product they sent. Third, the adviced me to go to the nearest store to solve the problem. In this case the store located at 6129 FM 1488, Magnolia, TX 77354. They made fan of me saying that is the same thing. Fourth, they sent the order using a carrier that did not have the proper equipment to deliver it. It took forever to get the product in place.

I ordered an AC online and decided to cancel the order a couple days after. The agent over the phone confirmed that it was cancelled successfully. It was not. The large heavy box arrived at my door, and I could not move it. Called to set up an online return which took over an hour. I had to call UPS after that to set up a date/time for pick up. They never came or called. I called UPS again and it was only machine picking up and I was told there would a fee of 5-6 dollar to schedule a pickup! I called the Home Depot again and asked them to reach out to the UPS. They could not, I asked for a manager they connected me to a supervisor which called me a day later than they told me she would. Again, I scheduled another pick up through her, UPS did not show up again and no one informed me again. I keep emailing the Home Depot after every failed attempt to just return this item, they respond after hours and just say we apologize we shall schedule another pick up. When exactly? days later?! After talking/being on hold for almost 4 hours, they did NOTHING. The AC is still with me, and they have my money $825.

Have been a steady customer of Home Depot , 1867 Victoria Ave. East in Regina and spending upward of $1,000.00 a year or more. Went to the paint dept to get paint for a fence. The gray-haired woman there was rude, unhelpful and dismissive. It wasn't the first time as I had bought paint before and she was there, mad that I wanted to see the colour in the can as the paint spill on the lid didn't match(and she insisted it did it just wasn't dry enough - ends up it didn't match even when dry)however, this time, I required several kinds of paint and she refused to help me find them. She said how was she supposed to know where they were. I finally found one kind and waited while she mixed the colour for me trying to ignore her behavior, until she turned to a recently arrived male customer and started helping him . She knew I was waiting to get help with the rest of the paint I had wanted to buy. I quietly voiced that I had been waiting for her and she threw at me that I wasn't first- the man who had recently arrived at the counter was first - and, backed by this clerk the male customer proceeded to yell at the top of his lungs calling me every name in the book. I immediately went to the manager of that store and spoke, at length to him. He said he'd certainly look into it after I said that I certainly didn't feel comfortable visiting that paint dept or even that store again if she was moved to another dept(and, I pointed out how many other customers did she do that to and they said nothing and took their business elsewhere). I had to have the paint that was already mixed brought to a corner of the store and opened while I checked the colour as this clerk continued to stay in the dept. In fact, it's been two weeks and she's still working in the paint dept.. I talked to a longtime clerk there and they said she regularly made their lives(more than a few of the employees) miserable and regularly did things like ignoring customers and putting customers who came later first - especially if they were male. Don't know what hold this clerk has on the company(or the manager) that they choose to put her first over the welfare and business of customers without whom they wouldn't be in business. Me? I'm taking my business elsewhere and I suggest others do the same.

Don't even bother ordering online. The first door I ordered was cancelled with no explanation. After phoning I was told it was no longer in stock. I ordered a different door and in a few days I get another email saying it was on back order. It would be shipped the end of September. I need it ASAP. I could not cancel online so yet another phone call to cancel. Supposedly the order should show as canceled in 24 hours. We shall see. Please update your inventory online. This a waste of everyone's time and is extremely frustrating. I am so done!

Home Depot Guelph has the worse customer service in Canada. I bought a fridge back in March arrived 4 week later and it was dented, they took it back and they keep calling me for the last two months with a delivery date and the day before the transportation company calls and cancels. Trying to call home depot appliances department in Guelph is a nightmare, their employees and Managers are useless they do not care about their customers and are totally clueless you talk to one person she promises a delivery and then another person calls saying that I won`t receiving a delivery until September 1st. This is 5 months of waiting for a fridge. Please do not shop at home depot do go to lowes or someone else!!

We bought an RCA fridge through Home Depot. It did not work when we plugged it in and there was strong smell of electrical burning, so we started a claim through the manufacturer, Curtis International. They requested we take photos of the fridge, bill of sale and then scrub of the model number and cut the cord off before they could proceed with a replacement or a refund. Since then we have had numerous emails and started of with Joel, then Gianna and now Erica Wilson. There is no way to talk to a representative. Yesterday we received an email stating unless we contact them within seven days the case will be closed. I looked up Curtis Internal reviews and find many complaints similar to ours and none have been refunded. I believe this company is a scam and Home Depot has caused us to lose $631.00.

I purchased a stove on March 31 which I was told will be delivered on June 21, then rescheduled for July 21 and today I got a call that delivery is rescheduled for September. I called 1-800-759-2054 x 2540 to cancel this order. I was on hold for 45 mins when someone answered and took my order number and the transferred me to another person so I was on hold for another 15 mins when I was disconnected after an hour on hold. I called again and as I am writing this I am on hold for 20 mins. All the while your message is saying my call is important to you! I just would like to cancel this order and take Home Depot off my list of places to shop. Also this purchase is billed om my HD credit card and building up interest while I am still waiting for delivery which will be 6 months in September

Bad Customer Service people : I visited Home Depot, 36 st NE, Calgary store on 12-July-2022 at 4:30 PM to return some flowers. Lady present at that start laughing after looking at me that I come for the refund for the flowers. I told her there is nothing to laugh. We talked with one of the costumer service at other location, and they told us you can bring the flowers back, if they are not growing, we will refund it back. Other gentleman available at the 36th street Home depot refused for return.
