“BUYER BEWARE!
DO NOT PURCHASE ONLINE from Home Depot.I tried to purchase Item advertised in flyer at the store and was told it is an online item only.orderd online because I was told delivery of April 17, have proof. Item has not arrived, two tickets created, told lots of conflicting info, received email stating it was in transit, called and was told item is in Calgary warehouse and they can’t call shipper , they said they would email and don’t know when it will arrive . I have all documents including order pictures of order where it states delivery of April 17 , pics of phone calls , email where it says in transit etc etc”
“The list of problems with just one online order has been horrendous.
Over 9 hours of phone calls. Employees unable to speak clearly is a definite problem when trying to communicate issues that get further complicated when the employee speaks extremely fast with a strong accent.
However, the main issue is the number I was given to contact regarding a payment issue with my card ended up into an 8 day …… show. I was literally transferred to 2 departments that I had to figure out on my own, was the wrong department. Mind you, when asked for my Zip Code I knew I had been transferred from Canada to the US!
Long story short, the order was paid for and despite my proof of payment, Home Depot ignored my proof and just asked for another credit card # to charge.
The funds I paid were apparently, “on the back end”. To be distributed to the individual stores as the order was set for delivery!!!!!!
End of day, one order split into 3 and the stores themselves had no idea what was going on.
Right hand left hand problem and a nightmare for me.
Last time they lost my shower door (11 months ago), I cancelled the order and went and picked one up elsewhere, only for me to come home after work to find the shower door that could not be found, leaning nicely packaged up against the wall by my front door.!

“Awful! 1 box of tile from 4 missing from order. Got a different answer every time I called. They are eager to take your money and have no interest in refunding money when items are not delivered. I “escalated” and was given a case number. No response. Their escalation is as fake as their delivery dates.”
“I was told delivery would be between 10am and 2 pm, no knock on the door, dropped gazebo off blocking an emergency exit and worst of all the delivery personnel FORGED MY SIGNATURE on the bill, this is inexcusable and unacceptable!!! Either Home Depot makes this right or i go to the police!!!”

March 28, 2024- First delivery date, Delayed.
April 4, 2024- Second delivery date, driver called us to say he couldn't find our house. We said "you're the courier how can you be lost?" when he found out he was actually in the wrong town, He said he wouldn't look for our house and we had to wait until April 11 for our delivery. We said no, send it back to the warehouse.
My husband went to Home Depot and purchased this item, for $30 less i might add.
When we contacted home depot, April 4, we were told we have to wait for the item to be received at their warehouse. I don't think we should have to wait this whole situation has been caused by the incompetence of the delivery driver and by association Home Depot.
We are still waiting for our money! The worst customer service i've seen in a huge company like them. Sad.”
“There’s plenty of other places to shop. Local retailers. Garden , electrical, building materials etc. HD doesn’t care about customers. And the costs are the same if not more.”

“I purchase a 40v Ryobi push mower w/ a 2 yr. protection plan July 2022. First year machine was great, this year 2024 it decided it would die. I have done everything but lay out in the middle of the homedepot parking trying to get help. Well everytime i talk to whom ever i am transfer to someone else, says i need talk so and so. Spent over an hour on phone still no results. The protection plan Allstate is a JOKE. Homedepot service and the people i talked to Seguin Store said the customer is responsible for the product not homedepot and i told them homedepot sell the mowers so why don't they stand by the products they sell. I am cancelling by homedepot card and will never walk into a homedepot ever again !!! if i don't hear from someone in the next 48 hours i will follow thru with my actions !!!”
“Home Depot a joke in many ways Got paid up front for a washer dryer Three weeks in a row on thursday got a call saying it was coming on Saturday, stay home and waste the day and wait three weeks in a row they did not show up. When contacted they said they never had the items.
Now 6 weeks later, they still have not refunded the money. Calls get passed to a supervisor who does not ever answer the phone On hold now 16 minutes. Will not spit on home depot ever again.”
“Ryan Lanken the assistant manager has no communication skills. Trying to buy four doors from Home Depot is a huge undertaking. I paid for measurement's, installation, doors, and hardware. I have also cancelled my order and will go to another retailer that want's my business. Dealing with a 3rd party RFI was a hue part of the problem. Home Depot's customer service is less than desirable.”
“Got a lawn mower as a Christmas gift. When I broke it out for first use in Spring, it died after two hours. Took back to Home Depot in original box and packaging. They wouldn't exchange and said I had to contact the manufacturer, even though I had the Original and Gift Receipt. I spent over $5,000. at Home Depot last year. Last dime I will spend at Home Depot. Go to Lowes.”
“I’m currently at HD expecting a quick trip since they show 96 of the totes I want in stock. The totes don’t have any lids. I’ve asked twice for help in person and am currently on hold on the phone trying to get help.”
“Horrible customer service with the initial rental, when I did return my rental item there was a line up apparently someone didn't show up I went searching for someone to jump in and help and I did find someone and he was more than happy to help with the line up. I do find it interesting that the initial associate did not call for assistance knowing he was short staffed.”
“My order was to be delivered March 7 -9 20 days later I'm still waiting. I'm telling everyone Do not order from home depot. They have made two files and still no delivery from Day and Ross .”
“I used a home depot credit card powered by Citibank to make a purchase with a promotional coupon that would allow me to make the purchase interest free for a certain number of months based on the amount of the purchase. On October 16, 2023 I called in to Home Depot because I could no longer see my payment allocations online and they needed to adjust some of the purchases as a wrong time frame was assigned to them. Thereafter I could not see the payment allocation page on the promotional balances nor the actual line items for the promotional balances online. I knew I had payments that needed to be made before March 16, 2024, so I called on March 15, 2024 to do this over the phone as I had no way to do this online and make sure it would be done. I spoke to someone (in India I presume based on their accent) I made the payment over the phone in the amount of $772.08. I had the representative read out to me on a recorded line each line item that the payment was going to. I then confirmed what would happen with payments going forward because again I could not see or allocate anything online. He confirmed it would go to the next balance due starting with May 16, 2024 line item. When I received my next statement it showed that all of the deferred interest had been charged even though I made the payment. I called Home Depot (today 11:00am EST) spoke to the first person in India, who told me they could do nothing for me, asked to speak to someone above her, spoke to another person in India, she wouldn't do anything about this. Spoke to the next higher up who told me they were in TN but would not give me a town or her last name or a confirmation number for the call her name was Lisa, she removed the deferred interest charge of $584.71 (which was correct) but informed me that unless I made an additional payment of $254+ that that amount would be apart of my revolving balance and would now accrue interest monthly in the amount of 25.99% apr. I was given no recourse to fix this problem, I asked to speak to someone higher and I got to Ms. Giles out of Idaho, she told me she could not do anymore for me now was there another higher person to speak to. She directed me to Fax or mail a letter to Executive Response Unit Home Depot Team at 433-477-6858 or P.O. Box 9058, Gray, TN 37615. Of which I plan to do. I do not care how they manage this on their end only that I will not be charged 25.99% apr on the additional revolving balance of $254+. I asked how I would make this payment in the future if I had the funds to do so and she said to do that I would need to remove the existing payment allocation plan (because i cannot do this myself online any longer for this card, which would mean trusting them to actually do what they say they will do and not make any further mistakes which I do not) make the payment and then reset up the payment allocation plan. They offered no other recourse.”
“Very poor communication and service when ordering items on line - there is a total disconnect between what they say and what they do. Order was to arrive at a certain date within 5 days as per order and it didn't leave and arrive until 2 weeks later and it was a large item so I needed to cancel as I didn't have anyone to assist with getting in the house - which I did as soon as it was delayed and they said it was cancelled when I called but it arrived anyway. They said they would send a confirmation by email to confirm cancellation - never received. I hope my credit card is credited. Very poor communication overall. PS Also returned all the extras I needed to buy for this item that was returned, and they credited me $5.00 less than what I paid for the items.”
